Eastern Salvar a bash is being held for a lot of the rich and noble, merchents, earls and many other high class types are being invited across the nation for a grand ball at Lord Rathmoores manor. Course there is never a quiet moment for those high up when the lower downs plot... a twisted cult known as Ziefrins Hands have been causing a ruckus, getting violent mobs to tear up prinstinely expensive walls... soil the fine silks and dyes in noble tabards and flags. Unlike most of the nobility Rathmoore is no idiot, hes fully aware that such a function will attract their attention, he also has a vast solid fortune.

As such he is letting the function go ahead but has sent out envoys to recruit only the finest quality of bodyguards and defenders... of course this quality is viewed differently by each envoy. Still a mis-mash of heavily armed defenders would just ruin the mood, not to mention the visual appeal with all those nicely uniformed soldiers... no they could not arrive as they are... course that can be a bit of an issue, not all are talented with the cloak and dagger, even a silk one.

This is a little quest I've been knocking about in my head for awhile, alongside the Dragow venture. A bash of much bashing and slicing, but first impressions are very important, seeing as how until the cultists attack the Lord wants his party to go swimmingly having a bunch of mercs skulk about would just lower the mood. So each hired hero or heroine were invited to the ballroom and allowed a thorough look around along with the grounds... and now have to work out a way to secrete themselves into the party atmosphere along with their equipment.

A fine example of traditional sneakery is Corvus making use of the large all covering capes provided to each castle guard and impersonate one... where hes hidden his sword, well thats the special bit heheh. So who would be up for this fun frolic?

I think that I am interested, though I am not quite sure how I would make it work. I have two characters, a giant hare and a 4 foot tall hand, seems like one of the two of them would be able to fit in. Hmmm, let me think about it and I'll get back to you.

ill join. course Elijah wouldn't have to do much sneaking at all, he doesn't have any weapons and (as you can see in his history) his life pretty much revolves around blending in with the crowd.

You can do it that simply if you want, but theres no reason to keep it so strictly simple, theres staff as well, entertainment etc.

Been coming up with a lot of the guts and entrails of this little ditty and so far turning up all right, so far the reward is standing at 700 gold plus one weapon from the various war displays or something plucked from the cult members, nothing magical but fairly useful. Course due to mitigating circumstances with Stray and the welfare of her friend I'm gonna hold off on this until shes in a better position to post with a clear mind, also give me more time to conjure up beasties and manties to handle these well paid adventurers.

Its been a long old while since this idea was last swimming about me head but I'm looking to fire it back up again. Course with all the time thats passed, will need a new crew, if you don't fancy checking out the first post for the setup here it comes.

A minor noble with a major manor house is planning a very large ball and has been doing so for a long time. Recently they acquired news of a possible attack on the land that would occur on the night of the party, its too late and costly to cancel, would lose far too much public image. Instead the Lord, or Lady, heck maybe even both have decided to send forth a few select talent-scouts in an attempt to scrounge up the right kind of Cash-requiring Mercs to serve as exceptional guards since they don't really want to permanently hire killers for general home security.

The quest will start about a day before, giving each Hero, Heroine or even villain to have an appraisal of the surroundings, meet with employers (for those looking to cause trouble I'll be PMing the details on just what kind of support will be for them). Importantly however is that on the ball itself, before things kick off the Owner wants the hired hands secreted throughout the ball and for fun, its entirely up to each writer on how to do that. Quick example is that Corvus will be using the long flowing robes of the Manor guards to disguise his tail and went to moderate lengths in order to hide his Slammer and Katana among the house-hold items.

Its not first come first serve, so take time to work out if you want to be involved in this and work out some motivation for your character before signing up.
