How many times has this happened to you; you've suddenly got inspiration, a minx of a muse assigned to whisper you the greatest plots, and you've got one hell of a story. It's going to light the site on for. It's going to make your career on Althanas. This idea inarguably affords a Judge's Choice. But you stop...shit! You're missing something. Something integral to any story, the sort of gear that will send your whole golden tale off a cliff without. An antagonist...the common enemy. The one the public, when hearing his or her name, spits and cusses in hate. It's the one that either makes your character shine as that gleaming saint of a hero, or allow himself to chalk up one more scratch of repentance to the anti-heroes out there. "But Slayer," you say in desperation, "Everyone wants to be the hero! There's no more villains in Althanas, beside the NPCs!"

Ah ha.

I present to you a proposition.

With promise of gold, of a nice chunk of EXP, you can bribe The Red Beast to act as your villain. Here, we have a despicable feral thing, greedy in gold and lives. Dan Lagh'ratham is delighted in stealing or acquiring small fortunes of Althanas' beautiful currency, or simply sating the savage taste of murder. Dan always has a reason to do something villainous, and can do something down right evil for your storyline.

There's a catch though. I only do one thread at a time. I have 'Tis the Season to finish for Manda, since she's threatened recently to jam something in a very uncomfortable place of mine. Maybe just promised. I refuse to burn myself out again. So here, I will have a link to whatever quest or battle I am currently participating in, and once finished, will remove the link, and announce I am available to be your antagonist. As time goes on, I may open myself up if I am comfortable with the concept, and enter two or three threads at a time. It will require great convincing to get me to join more than one thread at a time at this earliest point of my re-emergence.

...Don't you have Heart of Darkness: To Claim a Sapphire to continue writing in...? With Murakama playing the NPC...?

Well, either way. Good luck to you, Dan. Akashima is there for you to play in... Be wary of the Lore Beasts, of course. ;)

Erm...I'm the one that does the killing for money, that's what I made the thread for. And usually the "Here's your pay" money, but the "Spattered with blood and taken" money.

So uhh...nobody has anything? I'm trying to get back into the flow of things. If nobody really has a use for a villain, I might just start making random Citadel threads to break in my new axe.

Well~ I have one idea that could use a villian for hire... Literally.

But not at the moment. :p I'm still trying to establish some form of continuity for all the Girls at the moment.

I'll get to you when I'm ready, Nya~ ^_^;

Haha. Well, I put up my "hiring villain" thread a little while ago. And while the one and only Witchblade offered her wonderfully villainous talents, I'm sure I could have a place for you at some point in the "Memoirs of Undead Encounters" series. Well, if you enjoy a healthy dose of satire, anyway.

I'm trying to get my mojo back. I'm sure you and I could figure out something amazing between the two of us. And I have a treasure trove of characters for you to play with. I'll hit you up on AIM next time I see you. And yes, you do have to post in Tis the Season. Or I'll join Manda in that whole shoving endeavor.

Actually, I think you'd be the perfect surprise bad guy for a quest I'm hoping to start this week. Though you wouldn't make yoru appearance for a while, I think having Z-Man try to stand up against Dan would be amusing.

Considering you're still interested on being part of the OD, this would work out great ICly.

Sure. One of you will have to discuss with me on AIM what the role requires, and how to put Dan into it. He doesn't really do mercenary work anymore, money for killing, as he can usually just take the money as he wishes. Then again, he is incredibly petty. Spilling a drink on him in a tavern will urge him to try and kill everybody inside and knock the place to the ground. So...yeah, I guess it's not too incredibly hard to yank him into a fight.

I'd be glad to pop in your "Memoirs of Undead Encounters" series as a guest villain.

Do have something in mind, just not sure if I should bite the bullet on it or not...
