Okay, so Xeraph is in his last year of the British equivalent of High School. And for having known him for two years, I still don't know what that's called.

Anyways, he's in the RAF, or Cadets, which is sort of like JROTC for all you Americans out there.

And this weekend is the national competition, in which his squad will be competing.

So good luck, and try hard.



I tried to get him to make this thread himself, but the silly duck was too stranger-shy to do so.

Wait, RAF? Does that mean if I see you I'll have to salute? I don't like saluting... it's annoying...

Oh, yeah, and I saw a duck just before I started to write this... it was cute, and it wagged its tail. I like ducks. Anyone who's a duck is my friend.

Not me. For the following reasons:

A) I'm only a cadet, and...

B) If I were a real Warrant, you would have to call me 'Sir', but not salute.

Ah, sounds like our warrant officer... which I'm completely sure is what you just said... lol. That's british though, right? Here in America I have to salute them too, but we call them Mr. or Ms. instead of sir and ma'am, which is weird.

Well, I can now annouce that The King's School, Grantham CCF (RAF Section) went to RAF Uxbridge for the National Competition... and left with the overall championship!

We actually only won a single individual event - shooting - but our performance in the other areas was good enough to take home the main trophy prize. We thought we were a sure thing for the drill, but we must have missed something. However, the Warrant Officer (proper guy, had to call him sir, but no salutes), said I easily had the best drill voice of anyone there. So, that pleases me.
