Physical & Personality Characteristics
Appearance
“I think it was his eyes that struck me first. It was as if they were pleading for salvation. Although they were quite plain, a dark hazelnut colour, the expression they gave me was full of helplessness. Other than that, Jerome was just a simple kid. His black hair had a glistening undercurrent of deep indigo. His windswept haircut shaped his sharp features perfectly. His clean-shaven face always looked hardened and serious, even when his cousin Eleazar joked around with him. But when he smiled, now that was a treat! It was never a full-on teeth-baring smile, but a more secretive one. And his dimples were the cutest! He’s probably as tall as I am now, around 5’6’’-ish, with a slender build and a little bit of belly. I think he’s just adorable!”

Personality
“Jerome was never much of a talker. When he did talk, it was mostly in short phrases or one-word sentences. As a child, he’d always be either tampering with his piano, or reading one of his books. Whenever he was sent off to his piano lessons, Jerome would just obediently march off, not saying anything. I guess that discipline just made him a better musician, because he was proclaimed a child prodigy for music when he was only ten. It’s pretty unbelievable. That’s when he started becoming famous, making everyone think he was a pampered child prodigy. Unfortunately, that’s when all the teasing started. I guess everyone was just jealous of him, including myself. I remember how we’d exclude him from our games, or bother him while he was practicing or reading. Sometimes, I wish he fought back, might’ve helped him develop as a person. His only real foundations in life were his books and his piano, which was sad.

Character Special Abilities
Piano
“It’s really quite shocking how my own son could potentially be the best pianist in the entire world. Being even better than I am would be quite the feat to attain. He’s already mastered all of music theory, can widow and improvise, and he’s also a very emotional performer. His ability is very exhilarating. I firmly believe he is on the right path to becoming a musical legend, such as I am. I very delighted that my talent has been acquired by my son, but of course, he could not have done it without me.”
~ excerpt from The Piano Concerto Saga Continues, interviewee Cidan Vandiel
Basic Hand-to-Hand
“Jerome was always a pacifist, but I forced him into taking up lessons with me to improve his fighting skills. He had to know how to fend for himself, at least. That’s extremely important in my unwritten book of motherly parenting. He’s not great at the basic hand-to-hand combat; he can barely throw a decent punch. He’s better suited at running away than engaging in full-on combat. He’s not a fighter, plain and simple, and that’s coming from a loving mother.”
~ excerpt from The Piano Concerto Saga Continues, interviewee Renowa Lachrist
Sonata Music Control
“Thank you for purchasing the Sonata headphone set. The Sonata headphone set is the newest and most innovative product to impact the music market yet. The unique thing about the Sonata headphone set is that the registered owner of the product can hear any song they want to hear on the Sonata headphones. Powered by the most recent magical technology, the owner of the Sonata headphones just has to picture the title and artist of a song for the song to play. The owner’s brain and the leviathan skin are linked to the magic being used by the Sonata headphone set and thus, only the owner will be able to control the product. The Sonata headphone set is just one of many new products Sonata Inc. has produced to revolutionize the existence of music in today’s society.”

Aerokinesis
“Very little study has been done on the subject FAMFRIT a.k.a. Jerome Famfrit Lachrist-Vandiel. The subject been to the Office of Psychic & Mental Health only three times. All instances of aerokinesis in the subject involve winds sweeping furniture and household items around, all under or approximately 50 lbs.. The subject was, at the time, under extreme emotional stress, which could possibly be the cause of the aerokinesis. It is speculated that the aerokinesis ability is a recessive gene for both parents, although there is not physical evidence to prove that the parents or grandparents were known aerokinetics. As of now, the ability is underdeveloped for the subject’s age and may only surface under very severe mental strain.”

Character History
Jerome was the only child of Renowa Lachrist and Cidan Vandiel. Even though his parents came from entirely different backgrounds, the pair has managed to come together harmoniously. Renowa was a famed mercenary, a dangerous woman who disposed of some of the most notorious criminals of her time. She put down her sword and shield in favour of a quieter family life with Cidan, a successful concert pianist. With more than a dozen critically acclaimed classical piano recordings, Cidan has established himself to be a piano genius.
Born on January 24th 1563 in Veruca Gama City, Jerome was never the talkative child. He would rather be tampering with his piano or reading one of his numerous books than playing with other kids his age. As a child, he exhibited an intuitive interest and natural talent in piano. He officially began piano lessons at age three, along with personal training her received from his demanding father. Although the lessons came easily to Jerome, the sessions with his father were extremely intense. Because of the intensity and mental strain on Jerome, he displayed another natural talent: aerokinesis, the ability to physically manipulate matter by mentally using the element of air. Jerome’s aerokinesis first emerged when his father was about to strike him for making yet another mistake on the piano. Cidan was thrown against the wall before he even touched his son.
As Jerome got older, he began to tour with his father, under the stage name FAMFRIT. The hectic touring interfered with his school life, so his parents decided to home-school him, isolating him even more from social interaction. His musical talents blossomed rapidly and soon enough, he began headlining his own shows, filling out arenas with thousands of people. He was given an extremely expensive leviathan-skin Sonata headphone set as a reward for his efforts. At age ten, he was proclaimed a child prodigy for music. He was also predicted to become the best pianist in the entire world. Because of this exhilarating announcement, Jerome yet again demonstrated his aerokinesis, this time causing a squall to appear within the arena, lifting loose debris, causing minor injuries. The family soon moved away to Philistina City to avoid media coverage of the incident, leaving any traumatic experiences behind.
After moving, Renowa Lachrist convinced her son to practice basic hand-to-hand sparring at age 12. Jerome was never aggressive and preferred to sit back and let other people deal with the fighting. His efforts at sparring were always half-hearted, and his mother noticed, but did not bother pushing him to do better, in fear of his aerokinetic potential. In the end, his training produced minimal experience in the art of combat. With this, he learned how to avoid blows and run away from fights instead.
Soon after, his combat skills were put to the test when jealous bullies at his middle school insulted and beat him. The incident led to a badly bruised student, two others with broken arms and another in a brain damage coma, all because of the slowly developing aerokinetic abilities in Jerome. To avoid any more physical confrontations and controversial media coverage, Jerome was moved to a gifted children’s school, enrolling in advanced music classes and beginner mental ability courses for aerokinesis.
Notes
FAMFRIT and Eleazar are one and the same, thus I allow myself to use my own character. :p
The aerokinesis ability is still VERY VERY limited. I probably won't even resort to using it until it gets better, which is probably at around level two or three.
