Alvakar stands at 6’, with broad shoulders and a wide, muscular frame. His ears are long and pointed, slanted backward more than upward. The features of his face are sharp, with a short nose and high cheekbones. His eyes are dark brown and thinner than is typical, and his hair is more silver than white, waving just past his shoulders. Alvakar cuts his bangs short to maximize his vision. His skin is black.
Typically, Alvakar can be seen wearing dark linen pants with ‘breathing stitches’ down the outside of the legs that are light brown. He wears short black shoes of cloth and a thick leather belt. His shirt is the color of his eyes and is permanently tucked into his pants. Under it he wears his chainmail.
History
Alvakar was born to non-noble Drow whose names do not matter. His early life was typical of Drow children, consisting of schooling and discipline, the molding of a young form into an elf knowledgeable of his land and the way things worked in Drow society. His father wanted him to be rich, and tried to pass on to Alvakar the intricacies of economy. Alvakar was not interested and never retained the information.
He lived life simply, graduating from school both academically and physically. After forty years of life, Alvakar officially joined the Alerar military and began to be trained in the ways of a soldier. He was regulated to guard duties and general grunt work, but impressed his comrades and superiors with steel loyalty and the willingness to learn.
Eight years later, Sindareth Vordutin became Lord General. Immediately, training was intensified and several new methods of training were implemented. Alvakar adjusted well, hastening his growth as a warrior and strengthening his belief in the Aleranian ways. He valued the hard work.
In time, Alvakar found a wife, Rilya Mizzurm, a Drowess who worked a bakery in the middle of the city. The history of their love is a long one that may one day be told. Together they sired a son, Laziv.
Alvakar didn’t rise through the ranks of soldiers, but did become a captain two weeks before the march against Raiaera. The Drow was among those who fought with Thoracis Rakarth against Devon the Starslayer, and personally observed the fight between the two. Alvakar fought well and served as a reliable leader, but could not overcome his foes. When Thoracis fell, he fled along with his living comrades. That was two years ago.
After Vordutin’s death, the Aleranian army split into different factions. Alvakar remained with what was left of the old Aleranian Army, feeling it to be the closest division to what he’d always been loyal to. Things haven’t been the same, however, and Alvakar realizes that. The divisions are in constant strife with each other as civil war continues in Alerar.
Personality
At times, Alvakar has the personality of a brick. He does not crack jokes or talk about himself or his family, keeping to current city events and problems with the division of the army. He does not think deeply about anything, and is oblivious to all but the most obvious deception. He is fiercely, blindly loyal to his land, people and family.
Alvakar laughs only socially, when others are laughing, and even then there is no force to it. He prefers to meet his problems head-on, without considering the multiple methods that could exist. He holds great respect for those who are strong of will and heart, who do not bend and break under pressure. He is caring toward his son, but disapproved of Laziv’s tendency to play pranks and joke around. Alvakar is deeply concerned with Laziv’s lack of determination and focus.

Rilya Mizzurm/Kalizva
History: Rilya is Alvakar’s wife. She is 165 and has been married to Alvakar for 40 years. She works as a baker in central Ettermire, one of few establishments in the industrious city, and makes good money from those who work the factories. She was born a noble but left her family during a dispute; they were killed only recently when the civil war began.
Appearance: Her skin is lighter than Alvakar’s, and her hair is whiter, though it is much longer and is more straight. She is 5’6” and is petite. Her ears are pointed upward and her eyes are strikingly green.
Personality: Rilya’s personality is more dynamic than Alvakar’s, as she shows a range of emotions from anger to joy. She is generally happy and enjoys nothing more than spending time with her husband and child. Despite this, Rilya is restless and often picks up new hobbies, only to drop them weeks later. She is impatient unless it concerns the bakery or Laziv.
Skills
Baking – Rilya is considered a master baker, capable of making foreign and local breads and pastries.
Kunai – Rilya carries two iron kunai for defense purposes, but only knows the basics of how to aim them. She could not use them in melee battle unless she was fighting an unarmed assailant or one who carried only a knife.
Intellect – Rilya has the mental capacity to learn from everyday experiences. She is wise and quick-witted, capable of deception and deceit – though she does not use that against her trusting husband. She is well aware of her physical beauty and tries to stay mindful of all that happens around her.
Laziv Kalizva
(Brief) History: Laziv is Alvakar’s son. He is 17 years old and studies to be a soldier. He has many friends, but does not focus on academics. Laviz has led a very straightforward, typical life, but is not yet old enough to become restless and adventurous. By Drow standards, he is still a child.
Appearance: Laziv adopted his mother’s green eyes, but they are darker. He is his mother’s height, but may still grow. His hair is bright and short, often messy and rarely clean despite regular bathing. He is naturally broad, like his father, but has taken a liking to ale and has spawned a small belly, despite being physically active. He adopted his father’s ears and skin tone.
Personality: Laziv is more animated than both of his parents, is quick-witted and can turn anything into a joke, funny or not. He is personable and not the least bit shy. He loves his father, but they cannot identify with one another. He is loyal to his family and respects his parents, Alvakar most of all.

Hook Blades – Laziv uses iron hook blades to battle and is a novice fighter with them.
Ambidextrous – Laziv is perfectly ambidextrous when it comes to any manual movement.
