((EDIT: I want to re-incarnate Lucien's EXP for this. I think it'll be better served with this character, and maybe I can finally get some writing done.))

Name: Arsène Laurent

Age: 24

Race: Human

Height: 5' 11"

Weight: 155 lbs.

Hair: Black

Eyes: Gray

Occupation: None to speak of.

Appearance: It wasn't long ago that Arsène always wore a smile from cheek to cheek; but those days seem an eternity away from him now. Despite his best efforts to remain dressed in soignée fashion, the man cannot help but be unsightly to passersby who witness a broken spirit assembled into an abomination of the forlorn. His low status, but well toned body slumps with each step he takes, heightened with a faux grace to keep some semblance of appearance. A sharp pale face peers from the murky depths of his unkempt hair; a field of black cascading down to his shoulders. Depression is his aura; an aura anyone around him can sense.

Personality: Arsène has endured that which drives men mad; the loss of love and what they hold most precious. It goes without saying that this man is more than a little affected by it as he curses the gods and his own life every waking moment. Still, he was raised on gentry; he has all the manners and mannerisms of a noble combined with the abstract agony of an artist's soul. But one thing is for sure; he doesn't smile any more.

The Journal Entry:

Left beneath coarse stones,
She is seen no more.
Goodbye forever,
my paramour.

What is left for me now lies south; back home my withered mount trots, though both she and I have no real heart for it. Anastasia, my parents never gave you a second thought, but know that my returning to them is by no means a grievance against you, there is just nothing here where we called home.

Had I the power I'd move the very boundaries of Heaven and Earth to retrieve you from the rotting depths. Know too that I would gladly join you if I had only the heart to take my life. I curse my cowardice; for every conviction that I lack you more than made up for with the sweet shrouds of love and affection you wove. Never an unkind thought, always ready to devote yourself to the fullest for whatever trail you set your mind on. I know my voyage will be as empty as the sea itself, I know too that there is no happiness for me after this.

All I was and am was merely an extension of you.

The jealous of the seraphs has only parted us momentarily, for if there is an afterlife, and if I find my convictions, I intend to see you there.

From Pristine Corone to Perfidious Albaious, Arsène

Skills:

Musician: Through years of study and a passion that could only be dwarfed by his love of Anastasia, Arsène is well versed in the skills needed to be an accomplished musician. Through either violin or piano he can create music both soothing and jovial, or sad and remorseful; though recently events have turned it towards the latter. He is by no means an expert, as no mere mortal can ever be when it comes to music; however he is skillful enough to impress most people with either instrument.

Gentry: His upbringing has given the young man almost all the skills and sayings needed to appear cordial; both in noble courts and in public. If not for his depression, his honey soaked tongue could be quite the weapon to deter attackers.

Combat: Though Arsène was never much for fighting, he still has the skills to appear passable. He cannot compare to a well trained soldier, or even an average soldier, but the man's ability to use a light, one-handed sword or fight hand-to-hand, and he usually combines the two, is still recognizable to anyone with an eye for it.

Items:

-Several suits made from wool, cloth, and linen. Cravats/ascots, vests, tailcoats, pants, and leather shoes/boots. The suits themselves are gray and black, while the undershirts are always white. Vests and eurocentric ties seem to range in dull colors like maroon and dark blue. (None of the suits are really that valuable, and even if someone was willing to pay the price, he'd never sell his clothes.)
-A wooden violin, left dull and unadorned through use and age. (Includes bow)

Familiar:
An aged gray steed named Softstep. The fastest the horse can go is a light trot and it cannot hold loads heavier than two average people. Nobody wants it, and Arsène needs it for travel, so he has no intentions of selling the creature.

It's been a while since we had a reincarnation. Everything seems good with the profile.

You are approved with 50% of Lucien's EXP which is 768 (767,5). Good luck with your new character.
