This thread is for Everybody. Back in my blogging days, one of the most entrancing journals I subscribed to was devoted entirely to producing these miniature, 100 word stories, called Drabbles. A drabble is 100 words exactly (I think), but just to encourage thread participation, let's go ahead and open this to 100 words or near (think 98-102, peeps).

It's a very challenging exercise, but as you'll discover, it should be very rewarding. I'll give it a go first, since it was my idea and all, and I'll give you a couple links to help you out.

Too Much Curiosity

A reflection, she thought. Aegesta flashed her thick tail through the sea. She was tired of water, which always was green, always liquid, never changing, never ever escapable. She lived in the deepest, where beasts move more slowly, were dull. She desired the waves' voraciousness, where freedom and frolicking was. Fun.

For the first time, she saw eyes where the sunlight shone brightest, and they followed her. Never before had she pierced the surface as she did so this moment, gasping at breathlessness, at being caught in his vice, splashing her tail, thrashing her body. In the end, going still.
