Nero

[ Redone because of new inspiration. Very minor changes such as rewording, alteration from Werewolf to Werelion, and added a Spear and Round Shield to his armament and downgraded from a broadsword to a shortsword. ]

Basics:
Name: Nero Aran' Rohak
Race: Panthran (Lionkin)
Gender: Male
Age: 22
True Age: 133

Human Form:
Height: 6’2”
Weight: 213 lb
Hair: Black
Eyes: Black

Panthran Form:
Height: 6’8”
Weight: 287 lb
Hair: Black /w silver
Eyes: Yellow

Appearance:
Nero’s human form, at first glance, doesn’t command the respect you’d normally play on a Panthran. With a shorter than average stature and thinner frame compared to most of his race, one could easily lose him in a crowd. A jaw-length mane of raven black hair is offset by a set of abyssmal black iris’ that stand out horrificly, with flakes of gold that allow his eyes to shimmer under the proper lighting. Metamorphosed however, his size increases dramatically; eyes alter to a bright yellow, while the rest Nero’s appearance behests as a silky yet thick coat of raven fur perfectly that covers his catlike frame. Elbows, underbelly and knee’s are painted in a silveresque -- or gray, and is also a bit longer than the rest of his fur.

Personality:
Quick witted and attitude driven. In most cases, Nero’s cockiness and arrogance isn’t a product of self-assurance, but rather an attempt to draw out a fear in an opponent or someone he might dislike. Strong hearted and determination drive Nero, especially on the battlefield where his animalistic ruthlessness is shown stronger than ever.

Weapons:
Nero wields a 5’ steel Lance and Round Shiled as his primary, while adorning a steel shortsword that rests on the left side of his waist. A finely crafted weapon thought to have been made by his father or someone else of close relation; the design is quite exquisite. A slew of raven and golden swirls decor the pommel, with a carving of a Lion’s head roaring resting at the end, made of black pearl and encased in steel. No different in physical durability or capabilities than the average shortsword.

Armor:
Black trimmed Spartanian leather, reinforced by steel plates and matching Spartanian helm, with a calve black cape and the familiar “Roaring Lion” traced in gold silk. The armor, however, creatively crafted to allow for easy breakaway and adaptation to fit his transformed body when Nero shifts. This is to keep the armor, and himself from being harmed during transformation.

Items:
Large sack
A few changes of clothes
x10 Traveling rations

Skills:
Average melee combat potential, advanced knowledge on battle tactics.

Racial Ability: Given his conglomerated blood, Nero retains many catlike features like a heightened sense.. though slightly downplayed due to the human gene as well. Like most feline, Nero has a strong sense of smell as well as sense of sight and sound. Nero also possesses a hastened run, higher leap and reflexed celerity; as well as smaller things like a stronger jaw-structure. These of course are more potent while changed, as well as retaining a slight regenterative trait. Nero can change at will, contrary to common Panthran lore.

History:
The history of Panthran is well buried due to their lack of numbers. Originally, it was thought that Panthran blood was more of a disease or curse, rather than an actual race of being; and while this is true, Panthran's have evolved to carry this gene through generations. It’s questionable as to how the first Panthran came to be, but what little history that is recorded tells us is that the race has called Haidia their home for some time.

It was in Haidia, thought to have arrived via a portal in Corone, where the first pack arrived in 1499 D.W., and began a territorial war with the Vampires. In the midst of conflict, the outnumbered pack of Panthrans were cast out by the Vampire’s when a slew of Dwarven reinforcements tipped the scales. For many years, Panthran remained in seclusion and constantly on the move with the fear of execution from Vampire and Dwarf alike; surprisingly with no encounters with Demon’s whatsoever.

Around the year 1609 D.W., however, Nero’s parents (so he believes) were apprehended by a Demon patrol near the outskirts of Vla’toros; a common feeding ground for many of the pack. Due to the bizarre and unique qualities Panthran's shared, the commanding officer ordered the couple be taken to the High General Rakthean dil' Taros. Here, Panthran folklore tells of a strange turn of pacifism by the High General as he examined the strange new breed, one of which appeared to be close to giving birth; though nothing more is known on Nero’s behalf. Shortly after birth, Nero was taken and sent to Corone as an orphan, and though not raised by Rakthean, Nero was always under the General’s watchful eye and commanding presence from Haidia.

Now, nothing more than a vagabond. A spear for hire.
