Braig

Name: Braig Erikson
Race: Human
Age: 27
Height: 5’7”
Weight: 205 pounds (With gear)
Occupation: Ex-War Soldier
Celestial Symbol: The Rat
Alignment: Chaotic Good

Personality: Braig is a loner, his youthful exuberance beaten out of him by the horrors of war. He is detached and calm, seeing no need to show his rage until the enemy present themselves to get what he deems they deserve. Protective of those he deems innocent or victims, he will not allow an injustice to occur without getting involved.

Appearance: Braig constantly has a clean cut face as he believe in following his morning regiment precisely. Often he gets disgruntled when his morning ritual is disturbed. His hair is often left loose and free giving him a haggard appearance upon first glance. This is of course when he’s not wearing the helmet of his Iron half-plate armor. Each morning is spent taking care of his armor by means of polish to prevent rust.

History:

He was a veteran a war forgot to kill. Working under the Coronian crown he served his term in stations far and wide. When his term was almost up, he took part in the war games at Gisela, unfortunate mostly because while he survived, most of his friends did not. It was at these war games he realized the truth, he was nothing more than a pawn in a king’s game. While he continued his service, shortly following the war he requested Discharge and was honorably so, in order to not be thrown into the next political turmoil.

Since then he has wandered as a warrior. His tread careful as he made sure never to play one side too much. He fought in small skirmishes on countless occasions, often times butting heads with the leaders when they called him on his lack of Loyalty. As he continued from post to post he continued to wield his great sword with efficiency taught to him by the Coronian Military, refining and perfecting his craft. He may not be able to do much else, but he can fight, and it is this fact that he continues to find work here and there. Protecting Caravans and doing small patrols during festivals.

However, rumors have stirred. The corrupt government he spurned has a resistance forming against it. His old homeland has begun seeking aide on both sides. The only problem is that he cannot choose. To continue the tyranny would allow for the beginning of an empire, one that could threaten all he holds dear. To oppose it, could condemn all he had done, branding him a traitor and an exile, forever spurned wherever he goes. Walking the razor’s edge he has returned home, to see what has become of it, in order to figure out if it’s worth fighting for, or if he would be forever cursed by indecision…

Equipment:

1 Suit of Half Plate armor - Made of Iron, must be continually polished in order to prevent rusting

1 Steel Greatsword - his only true weapon, while he can wield other weapons, he continues to wield this twin handed sword so he can continue to prove himself.

Traveling Backpack with Bedroll and basic provisions, including a rag often used to polish the half plate armor to prevent rust.

1 oak flute

Skills:

Great Weapon Proficiency – He is above average with a great sword. However this is the only weapon he can truly be called proficient with.

Flute playing – He is an average player with this simple flute, capable of playing simplistic tunes often conveying a sadness or grief, his only way of expressing grief over his long passed comrades.

Diplomacy – He is capable of at least knowing how to diplomatically navigate negotiations. Careful not to cause a diplomatic Faux pos when in another regions territory.

The only thing that needs to be fixed is his Great Weapon Proficiency. He can't be a master with a great sword. Right now, since you basically have no other skills, I will allow slightly above average.

Damn, I was kinda hoping that since thats his only real skill I could get a higher proficiency than normal. Could we say a happy medium between the two like experienced?

Above average is higher proficiency then normal. And I can't allow more then that.
