Name: A’rai Dienn Salaturn
Age: 24
Sex: Female
Race: Human
Height: 5’3
Weight: 110 lbs
Eye Colour: forest green
Hair Colour: Golden blonde

Appearance: A’rai is a little on the short side, but she is curvy in al the right places, more so than the average women. She has a body that makes most men turn their heads and take a long second look. She isn’t the slimmest of women, but she has learned rather quickly that men prefer women with a little more padding. Her clothing tends to be extravagant of course, as her class depicts that she squeeze herself into a corset and dress every day. At least she finds comfort in the fact that she can show off her shoulders and cleavage in an alluring manner. Her hair she keeps long and usually braided along the side of her head and her skin is flawless porcelain without a single scar though she does have a few birthmarks.

Personality: A’rai is beautiful and she knows it and uses it. Looks are only something to manipulate and use to her advantage. She is in no way vain about her appearance but she doesn’t mind looking in the mirror at herself from time to time. She is extremely smart and has a photographic memory, which enables her to remember things in an extreme amount of detail. A’rai has been described as cold and manipulative. She possessed all the emotions any human has and can feel happiness, pain and sadness, but her moral standing has long since been skewed, she’s just been extremely good at hiding it. Her outward personality changes depending on whom she is with, allowing her to put forth the person they would like her to be, but she is as cold and unforgiving as the Salvarian environment. But there’s also a fire within her.

Abilities:

Demon Summoning: Knowing how to summon demons and even finding the necessary information and spells is relatively easy. There’s plenty of information out there if one knows where to look for it. However, controlling and containing the demon is the hard part. One must possess a will greater than that of the summoned demon to properly control it outside a circle of protection, which A’rai certainly has. On top of her will, she also has many sigils and wards for protection burned into her mind.

A’rai has the ability to summon extremely powerful demons, however on her own she can only safely control medium to lesser powered demons. With the rest of the occult with her though, they have safely summoned rather powerful demons and commanded them to their wills. Most of the demons she summons on her own are of lesser strength though, these ones having the same strength as any normal human.

In order to summon, a circle must be drawn on the ground, surrounded by another circle filled with the words of the incantation and the correct symbols for that which is being summoned. If there is a single break in the circle, the demon could escape and kill her. After that, the incantation is spoken and the energy from the caste is spread into the circle allowing the demon to come forth. Once he or she is within the circle, there will be an immediate battle of wills and if the summoner loses it is always wise to quickly dismiss the demon. However, if the summoner wins then the demon may be released from the circle without worry.

Skills:

A Fraction of the Truth: Through body language and carefully chosen words, A’rai can make most weak minded men believe that the sky is yellow and they are the king of Althanas. This she employs for fun or if she needs something and money is not persuading enough. She can also use this on women, though they seem a little more resistant to her charms. Someone who is strong willed would have to have an addled mind though alcohol, drugs or even exhaustion for this trick to work. A’rai can also analyse a person’s personality rather quickly and change hers accordingly to better manipulate them, giving them something along the lines of the deepest fantasy.

Where Men and Angels Fall: Seduction, plain and simple. Very similar to her Fraction of the Truth skill, A’rai emphasis her sexual appeal, gives her voice a more husky level that simple purrs into the ears of men and women and manipulates them until they are playthings in her small hands. This is also another one of her tricks to get something she wants from someone, however on occasion this is simple used to get a sexual partner.

Sigils, Wards, Crests and Circles of Protection Besides these listed ones, A'rai has access to books containing many others, however this is what she has memorized.

Audeamus Circle: The most complicated circle that A’rai knows. When summoning nasty demons that she is unsure of controlling, she will take the hours and hours necessary to draw this upon the floor knowing that it acts like an invisible shield and protects her from magic and physical attacks. It will also only allow anyone she wishes inside. The shield's greatest weakness is against magic. Most weapons would bounce right off of it, however concentrated magic attacks on the same area would most certainly shatter it. The force of the shield breaking would send a shock wave of magical energy through the area. This type of protection cannot be created on the quick, it takes nearly a full day of preparation for her to draw and make sure it is precise.

Tora’Na Circle: The second most powerful circle. Like the Audeamus circle is creates a shield around the area it is drawn, however it is not as strong as Audeamus. If attacked repeatedly this circle will eventually shatter in a blast of magical energy that will send both the person inside of the circle and the one attacking it flying back a few feet and most likely dazed. It also hasa time limit, lasting any 2-3 minutes before its protection fades away.

Sel Circle: The simplest circle that she knows. It can be drawn in a hurry as it takes somewhere around 10-20 seconds for completion. However it is one of the weaker circles and will only last for thirty seconds to a minute, if she were lucky, less if she is being attacked by something very strong.

The Denfias Sigils: These sigils are magically etched into A’rai’s back, right along the length of her spine. They are only visible to someone who is adept at magic; otherwise her back looks perfectly normal. There are five of them in total, each slightly different than the one before it. They help focus her will and protect her mind from mental attacks by demons and humans alike. No one can enter her mind without her permission, as they will merely hit a brick wall. However, an experience telepath may be able to break through the sigils protection, but it wouldn’t be easy.

Items: She has nothing of notable interest for the time being other than the fact that her father owns a large estate and she lives there. Not to mention she has access to the entirety of the groups library, which contains many rare books within it.

History: A’rai was born into privilege. Her mother came from an already wealthy and prominent family and her father made his fortune through various deals and many connections in both the Vogruk-Stokes Company and the Church of the Ethereal Sway. He knows people that most Salvarian’s could only hope and wish to come across once in their lifetime and as such A’rai has grown up a very lucky girl. Everything she could have ever wanted was given to her, to an extent of course. She was always spoiled, but never to an extremely. Her parents made sure that she appreciated the wealth around her and did not take it for granted. So she grew up like any normal girl of her status, until she reached the age of twelve. In that year everything changed and shaped her into the woman she is today.

Knowledge and the unknown were always thing she was interested in. The paranormal was something of a fascination that she had had since childhood and whenever someone had help words of guidance or wisdom she listened, absorbing all she could. When she was twelve her mother passed away from illness and thus began her road deeper into the occult. It started off rather small, with ghosts and spirits, and using the large allowance her father gave her to purchase books on the subject. There were also times when she frequently hired mediums and psychics to hold séances and readings. Most nobles dabbled in the occult from time to time, so her actions were not seen as anything odd, especially considering she’d lost one of her parents. But after years and years passed, she didn’t slow down and she never got bored. Her actions soon caught the eye of an occult group, Of Kings and Shadows.

When Anton came to drop off the latest books he had acquired for her, he also came bearing a letter. Within the crisp envelope was a single piece of paper with barely a note neatly written onto its surface. It was just a time, a place and a day. At the bottom was a wav insignia of a skull with a serpent coiling about it and slivering through the eye sockets. It had been so mysterious and irresistible to her at the time, so she went at the time and day and under the cover of a full moon she was recruited as the first female into their occult group.

They had seemed mysterious to her at first, but A’rai quickly realized that they were just a bunch of bored aristocrats trying to dabble in something they truly knew nothing about. They could barely summon a shade. They did, however, possess a massive library filled with books, many of which contained nothing but bullshit and fake incantations, but a few were the real thing and had within them real spells to summon demons. Unsupervised access to the library was eventually given to her after a year of being in the cult and under her guidance they actually began summoning real demons instead of blindly and drunkenly chanting into a dark chamber lit with hundreds of candles.

A’rai never rose in the ranks though. She enjoyed her standing. Respected by the members and allowed to do as she pleased without having someone follow her every move in their secret chambers. Besides, she enjoyed manipulating things from behind more so than being seen as a leading figure.

Nice looking profile you have there. Needs some minor editing though.

Demon summoning states that the demons she can currently summon are of lesser power, but still more then strong enough to kill a human. This is too strong. I'd like you to make it so they can currently be on par with an average human level zero warrior.

Also, the circles are too strong, especially the first one. At level zero, invulnerability is just something that I can't allow, even if it takes a day for her to get it up. I suggest you give some vulnerability to the first circle, make the second one last 2-3 minutes and the third one for about a half a minute. Half of minute of protection in a battle is quite a while, especially if you have a demon doing the job for you.

That's about it.

I edited it, and I just wanted to point out that these are not meant to be used in battle the way you're thinking. I don't really think it would even be feasible, well, maybe the Sel Circle, but the other two take too long to draw. These are to protect her and the cult when they are summoning demons, which is why they needed to be so strong.

I'm not arguing or anything, I suppose they're still strong enough. So, yeah. They're edited. ^^

Makes sense when you put it that way, but then again, you never know in what situations your character will wind up. Then again, you are writing your character, so perhaps you do. I think this is the safest way though. :)

Thank you for your cooperation. You are approved! Welcome to Althanas.
