Bone Manipulation
"Such skills do not cause bleeding,
only pain according to the subjects
built up pain tolerance"
Increased Bone Strength:
____ Through the genetic traits of his ancestors, Lye's bones will ever remain stronger than normal and only grow in durability throughout his life's training.
--Strength: 1060 Diamond Edge Steel
Reeves' Slash:
____ By controlling the shape of his bones, Lye calls them forth from his forearms to pierce through his skin and extend 3 feet past his hands into an over sized blade. While stabbing a victim with this attack, Lye also is able to absorb the marrow of his prey and assimilate any unique talent or skill that the victim "used to" have.
--Duration: Marrow steal must begin at end of player post and finish at start of new player post.
--Limit: One stolen skill per character level.
Hell's Tongue:
____ By controlling his bones within his arms, Lye is able to shoot tendrils of bone forth from his palms and then into the ground. By sending these tendrils underground Lye can control the weight of the extended bone far better then if the used the skill in a straight attack. While underground, Lye controls the point in which the bones burst forth from the earth and into any unsuspecting target.
--Speed: Arrow.
Bone Formation:
____Using his genetic heritage, Lye can form any bone within his body into a weapon. He may also choose to shift his bones into a sub dermal coat of armor. Weapons he can form are as follows:
--Formation: Daggers, Short swords, Long swords, Throwing Needles, Shuriken, Kunai, Spears, Chains, Great Swords, Bows, Arrows, and Katars (Irremovable).)
Shadow Magic
Shadow Twin:
____From the hereditary darkness of his heart, Lye has been able to grasp the elements of darkness and mold them within his very mind to his advantage. One of these advantages is creating an exact duplicate of himself. This duplicate is pitch black; void of any color except for the eerie red eyes. It has all of its master's weapons but can not use any of its master's special skills. The being moves with 1/2 the finesse of its master and is solid in all aspects, save for the fact it is a magical creature. Lye can connect and relay tactical information to his duplicate through thought. They do not share injuries and once the shadow twin has sustained its full amount of wounds, it vanishes into thin air.
--Cast time: One uninterrupted post.
--Twin Limit: 50% of summoner.
Enchant Shadow:
____Lye is able to use darkness and shadows to envelope and possess any inanimate object. By using this skill he can control the movements of light objects to his advantage. This most commonly applies to his throwing weapons or any light sized projectile he uses. The added bonus of enchanting the inanimate object is the void of light the object possesses while enchanted, making it virtually invisible at night.
--Use: Twice per post
--Max Possession: 5 items
--Limit: Throwing needles.
Shadow Meld:
____By wrapping one's self in the surrounding shadows, Lye makes himself unseen to the naked eye. By shadow melding he also possesses the ability to teleport his being short distances (30ft) to maximize stealth during missions.
--Limit: Shadowed areas large enough to allow his body to pass.
--Use: once per PvP battle -- slight distortion of light is visible to the opponent, once per page during quests.
Hex Magic
Pain:
____By saying the words "Can you feel the pain?" Lye activates this skill. When activated, all pain that Lye is feeling at the general moment is broadcast 15ft from his body and applied to any living life form within that radius. The pain they feel may be even more extreme due to the difference between common pain tolerance and the immense pain tolerance of Lye. This skill comes in most handy during battle while he is using bone skills. The excruciating pain of one's bones being writhed within one's body, a feeling this assassin is used to, would drive any normal man into pure insanity.
--Use: Once per page/15 posts.
--Duration: Until Lye's next post.
--Radius: 15 ft.
Sin Harvest:
____By saying "Penance for your sins?", Lye activates this ability. When activated, a ball of dark crimson energy form within the palm of his hand. Once at maximum charge, the bolt of energy is fired at the unsuspecting target. If such an attack hits its target, the energy retraces the victim's past and inflicts grievous wounds in physical form upon that person. The maximum time that this skill can retrace into the past is 10 years. This ability has potential to kill. If hit by his own attack, Lye takes 2 times the damage the attack would originally do. Great for assassinations on deceptive kings.
--Cast time: One uninterrupted post.
--Duration: Instant.
--Use: Once per victim.
--Trace time: 1 year.
Background Information
In the ancient times of the Forbidden Lands, there were five kings. Each king possessed an equal share of this land, but not only did they grasp to this piece of land, they also grasped onto colossal power. Each King and the family’s blood line held the amazing ability to command the five chaotic energies.
First there was Paul, a lord of might and pure brawn. The nobility of his people were unmatched by the other kings for this man controlled raging fire and molten rock. Then there was Mizu, a lord of water, ice, and snow. His followers were brave and persistent through all that was thick and thin. Zecks was a lord of the thunder and winds. His people were known for their wisdom and speed. Rumors said that his men moved with the speed to never touch the ground. Ra, a lord of healing, life, and flight. His followers were peaceful, yet possessed the uncanny ability to end your life by placing a thin needle in certain areas. Only the royal family of these people had the ability to give life reborn and mend wounds by thought. Lastly, was a lord of death, decay, and hatred. This lord was Odin. His people were embraced by the urge to draw blood from the weak and innocent. Yet, only the royal family possessed the grotesque power to manipulate their pones into weapons and wield shadows to their whim. This royal family also controlled the realm of pain...
Though, even though these kingdoms differed greatly, they were at peace. Peace until a certain day. On this day, a celebration occurred as the five kings joined together as they claimed the last piece of unexplored land. Celebrations and dine were unmatched by any other nobility. Though, during the midst of the party, Paul began to shake. His hands went from a shake into violent convulsions. Pain coursed through his every vain as he cried tears of blood, his eyes rolling back into his head. His wet coughs of bloody mist wet the other kings as his body fell to the floor. In a last convulsion, his heart burst from his lips onto the cold floor. His heart beat it’s last as maggots crawled through every inch. Paul... was dead...
Such controversy was only traced to the king of darkness and deception. Odin was blamed for the murder of Paul and Odin admitted it with a devilish grin. Odin had poisoned the water wells of Paul’s kingdom using a conjured shadow clone. War was now amidst. Next to fall were Mizu and his clan. As Mizu and his men fell, they stepped back to their feet controlled by their shadows as fighting puppets. None of the kings expected such a destructive attack and soon the lord of the skies was slain by the massive numbers of shadow puppets. Just as Odin used Mize’s shadows, he took hold of Sect’s. Now, only Odin and Ra stood at quarrel, though Ra was able to fend off Odin’s army of puppets. Ra’s men used needles tactics to immobilize the puppet’s limbs as they attacked and soon a bloody battle between the two kingdoms ensued. For 7years and a day they fought. They fought until the last civilian fell dead upon the blood stained fields of the Forbidden Lands. With the two royal families waging war, there was no progress. With this stalemate, they proposed a pact. Since their wives were both slain in battle, the king’s agreed to rule the land together in exchange for each other’s daughters.
Upon the very first offspring, both the lords found that their children had no royal traits as the kings had. No abilities over shadows or light. With this, Odin cursed Ra with a dying pledge. Odin pledged that one day, a child born would heir the blood of his royal family and reign supreme over the weak. He vowed that this child would be stronger than Odin himself and lead a path of death to ruler. Anyone caught in that path would suffer the most painful of deaths.
Centuries later the land was again at peace under the rule of a common king for Ra too, had passed away peacefully. Though, one day, a child was conceived shortly after the mother had died. Such a birth was impossible yet the baby was perfectly healthy. The people of that time only believed Odin’s pledge to be legend, yet when such a birth occurred they exiled the father and child to sea. The child’s father wrapped his son in black silks as a marking to state the child was of shadow. Yet, after being out at shore for months, the father ran out of food and supplies and began to die. The child, on the other hand, seemed to grow livelier as his father grew more and more weak as if feeding off of his father’s essence. Finally, the small boat hit foreign shore and in hopes to rid his life of the child, the father cast the child shore and fell into the sand...dead...
Hours later, a common farming couple discovered this child. The child suffered the heat of the sun and was within the realms of death. Quickly the family nursed the child back to health, and after several years of treating the infant as their own, they named him Lichensith Ulroke, an ancient tongue for shadow shrouded child. They chose this name to always remember the day they found the infant in black silks. Years went by as they taught young Lye love and hard work. They taught him compassion and trained him in the use of daggers and kunai for self protection. They taught him the use of the bow and everything was perfect... up until this 16th birthday.
That night, Lye woke to human screams. His heart pounded in fear as his feet padded softly to the door of his parents room. The door was shut tight, yet in the dark Lye could picture out what seemed to be... a bloody paw print?! With the undying fear that it could just be his mind, Lye felt something warm lick at his bare feet. No, it was not a creature but warm human blood...
In the sake of curiosity, Lye let his quivering hand press against the bloody door. Thunder clapped as Lye shouted in terror to what his tear filled eyes fell upon. His parents lie dismembered, torn, mangled, and bleeding in a pile of their own blood. A slight mumble of pain perked his hopes in the darkness as a loud wet thud soon filled the air. Now only silence stood past the weeping child. Through those eyes of sorry, Lye met two yellow spheres gazing at him. Terror stricken, he stumbled backwards to see a Black Panther advance on him with blinding speed. Again a wet slap sounded as Lye collapsed to the ground, a stinging pain over his right eye. Through crimson vision from his own blood Lye gazed up to a raised claw. In agony he shut his emerald eyes and held up his hand in a last resort. With a roar, the cat dropped its paw at the boy.
Silence...
Drip...
Drip...
Drip...
Lye paused... He, he was alive! But something was not right. His eyes opened slowly only to shoot wide at the sight. The panther’s body sat twitching violently, speared through the skull by a prong of bone, jutting from Lye’s hand... Lye... was The Forbidden Child of Odin’s curse...
The next morning Lye was exiled for the murder of his foster parents. Lye felt anguish for all he tried to do was love his parents. Love soon turned to anger, and anger fueled his life. Anger kept him alive as he forged for his own in the wilderness. He killed for food, practicing his unknown ability. At first the pain was enormous when he summoned a bone past his flesh. Through the days, this pain became no more and the wounds from summoning the blade soon became no more when he was finished. Though, even past his new training, the wound over his right eye never healed over, leaving him a scar to mark him in remembrance of that fateful day. With age, that memory was lost for Lye stumbled upon ancient ruins of what seemed to be followers of a dark cult. Within the ruins, Lye found one untouched scroll. This scroll hissed at his touched yet called to be held by his hand. Lye was looking for a drive to life and this scroll whispered to his soul his fate to rule the lands. With a new target for his hatred, Lye trained himself in the wilderness to perfection.
At the age of 25 Lye finally was ready to emerge into society. Now, thousands of miles from his original home, Lye took up the job of assassin. From his training in the woods he adopted the techniques of throwing needles. Also, he became bored with the use of daggers, so he simply applied a dagger fighting technique to dual wielding short swords. The technique proved devastation on missions and was completely unpredictable. Another weapon he grew used to was a spiked whip. In the forest, Lye learned to use this whip to spear fruits from high branches, though, when he applied his knowledge to his new occupation he devastated more men with the wild and precise art.
Along his line of assassinations Lye met a man that he had worked with to slay a useless thief. His comrade during that mission was none other then a thief himself by the name of Seth Dahlios. Lye was soon hired to end this man’s life yet when he paused for the glorious last blow, the thief let his daggers bit into Lye’s stomach. With Seth’s last breath, he whispered “a man who fights with emotion falls short, a man who fights without goes far...” Lye soon passed out from his wounds; those words in mind. Lye woke to the surprise of monks that healed his wounds, though now Lye had to become an empty vessel of slaughter. He trained harder and without pause. His desperation unlocking powers of his that he had not yet discovered.
When looking for more power, Lye opened the shadow scroll from his youth. The shadow scroll spoke of Odin’s legend and Lye discovered two innate abilities he had never awakened before. Lye was now able to form a physical twin of himself made totally of shadows, as well as enforce his pain upon others in a nearly amplifying manner... Lye was now truly an assassin. Thus, he was christened, “The Crimson Assassin.”
