I was looking through the threads and was trying to pick a place for Lye to solo or to base himself. So far I'm liking the Obsidian Spire even though it is off limits, but then again when did Lye follow rules?

Another place is the Red Forest. I like the creatures there since Lye is nearly impervious to internal damage and fatal blows but blood loss and soul loss obviously can kill him.

Then, of course, there is Corone -- a place where I can thrive on numerous victims but also risk getting caught. Plus, there are a lot of people there. Lye hates the living.

So, my task to the people is helping me designate a good place for me to situate my return. Any suggestions?

I see the Red Forest being perfect.

And that's not because I'm the Raiaera writer, either. Although that's part of it.

Galyl is based out of the Obsidian Spire. I don't believe many people dwell there. So, be different and weird and join in on the fun :).

The Red Forest is an awesome setting for a survival or dungeon crawl experience but I don't see it a great place to introduce an assassin character without a good reason. It's hostility makes it more of a "Dungeon" setting than "Town" setting. It would be a great place to show the prowess of a character or maybe throw him into something that's a bit too tough and he'd have to figure out. Still if you want a mostly action and or Survival story for your solo than there's no better.

Corone's a good setting if you don't want to have the setting outshine your character, there are lot of people though that could be a good way to show how misanthropic Lye really is. Also Akashima could be a good place for Lye since he could run afoul of ninjas there.

But I think Salvar would be best for him. The cold harsh climate and a society rife with greed and corruption. Seems like the best out of the two. There's lots of opportunity for an assassin there. It seems like the most likely place for someone that kills for a living to end up really. Also Salvar needs a little love.

In the end it's what type of quest your solo's going to be.

Anything but Corone, so you can be different :p I like the Obsidian Spire idea.

Living inside the Obsidian Spire is kind of like living inside the Eye of Sauron. It's metaphysically unfeasible. I shamelessly recommend Salvar. There's plenty of remote, out of the way places and a lot of corrupt officials willing to take bribes.

Edit: Oops, I said "Eye of Mordor" instead of "Eye of Sauron." Had to correct it before Madison saw.

Salvar sounds good, maybe some low-level government power slaying? Ice cold climate though, I'll have to reestablish Lye's cloak or something to to cover his arms or something.

Istraloth has no activity, so they went and hid it.

So there's pretty much only the few scattered swamp people hanging about there.

Well, there's the swamp and the barren tundra. Lye seems to make more sense in the tundra but i'm having some trouble thinking of how to adapt him to it. This is what he currently looks like:

I would vote for Salvar as well, simply because Lye would be able to take over a mini-country and whatnot. Which would be awesome. There's also the whole Ice thing as well,. Ive Bones of EVIL!

Or something. Corone may work, but not as a permenet resting spot.

Edit: I want a picture again!

I do owe you one. Got any reference pics for me or some details for me?

If you're taking requests (you shouldn't) I definately call a spot. Don't forget!!

Anyway, it shouldn't be hard to adapt. Just have him wear proper winter apparel when he's out and about.

Sweet. I'll find something. My apperance in the profile is probably the best. I could find something else later too. We need to do a thread as well, it's been a while.

That, and now that I think about it, Dheathain might be a great place for him as well, and you don't need to worry about the whole cold business too.

I was thinking that I'll adapt him with some light cloth arm wraps he has belted on much like Sasuke from Naruto. We'll keep the crimson scarf, and I'm going to add a crimson sash as well. I had a feeling that it is hard to be the Crimson Assassin without any crimson, lol.

[edit] Alright, I began a solo on Salvar. We'll do a little recap before I decide to go on killing sprees.
