Playing the name game?

Hey I'm starting to get back into typing again, and once I get my laptop from graduation I'll be a typing machine. But as for now I'm getting stuck with some names for people in my story. Names have been a weak point in my works for a long time now and I just can't think of original ones to use.

So... can anyone give me some tips/advice on how to create names for myself, such as names to use in my solo. I need some Elvish names to use at the moment.

Well, for some characters, I want names that symbolize their personality, so I look up names from that particular culture and their meanings. Elvish, I dunno if there's a ready site for name meanings (I know there is one for Drow), but if there is a lack of it, you can find words and string them together.

For names that don't matter much, string syllables together until you find names that flow right.

You should try googling some name generators. I'm pretty certain there is a good number of them on the Internets.

I recommend both of these generators. They are very helpful when coming up with names. The later is best for names that are real names and the former is better for fantasy.
