Naris' Curse

[Max Dirks]

Cyrus and I have drawn up a loose outline for an Althanas epic that we are very excited about writing.

The story loosely follows four adventurers as they search for Naris, the legendary sword of Sorjax. The story, much like my previous attempts at Chasing Legends, will intersect with the adventures of three former Althanas characters, Valentina Snow, Rennaeu Aequitas, and Sorjax.

Dramatic Personale:

Dirks - Recently lost Starlynn, is frequently drunk, and has no purpose.

Luc Kraus - Less maniacal, but he depises Dirks.

Female Character - Beautiful, witty, and must love/hate Dirks.

Scholarly Character - Well versed in Althanas lore, must dislike Dirks.

The story begins on a ship at port, where Dirks, and the party of the remaining characters each try to commandeer the vessel at the same time. A fight ensues, and an accord is made. If you want to sign up, we can work out details on WHY exactly your characters are together, and why you want the ship. The Naris is supposed to come up later in the story.

She'll love you or hate you one moment, and change her mind the next, depending on what she wants out of you. :D

I might fit in as the scholarly character. Elrundir and Dirks have crossed paths before, on opposite sides of the battlefield... and besides, Dirks uses guns, and Elrundir hates technology, so he'll hate you just for that! And you're not an elf, so that doesn't help either.

I have a few concerns that we can discuss on AIM, Karuka and Elrundir.

I don't know if there's also a minimum age requirement to go on this quest (at worst I could play her as an 18-19 year old), but I'd like to try out the scholarly role with Lillian. I think it's time I get her going again. :D

As for reasons she would dislike you... Peregrines have told her that Max Dirks was seen helping Khariss escape, and that, added to the fact that he's pretty infamous should be enough.

There is no age requirement for the Scholar. I will get with you on AIM when I get home.

i'd be interested in this with anyof my characters except foxylady, unless you look her over and think she'd really fit. I don't think she would really, but I would love to get her more active if I can.

Poison doesn't like anyone or anything except little kids. She thinks they're adorable and they're the only thing (thus far) that can soften her heart.

Jasmine loves only one. I'm thinking she may have crossed paths with Dirks in the past, but i'm not certain, i'd have to check my saved stuffs. Same goes for Cassy.

Vivian (foxylady) has not yet been out into the world to have the faintest inkling of an idea of who or what Dirks is or anything about anyone else. She is currently in the process of getting away from a bad situation gone worse, but I need certain people *coughFENRIScough* to get to posting before it's complete.

the lov/hate thing is easily arranged with any of my characters, but you'll have to stick to PMs for me or MSN as my comp is currently on the fritz and i have no AIM access.


EDIT: i'd me most interested with Poison and you can have your choice of vampiric Poison or back-to-normal Poison (in process solo, called Redemption in Corone)

Out of curiousity, and you don't have to post here or even acknowledge this question at all, but is there a reason you don't want any of the characters to like you?

Character dynamics mostly. Ultimately the story won't progress unless they get along, so their struggle to do so in a sense, becomes the rising action.

Interesting. Well nevermind then. I was going to say that at least one character should at least admire or respect you, that way you don't get completely discouraged and not want to accomplish the task at hand. But it's your thread and it's a great idea. Hope it goes well.

[Witchblade]

Well, this seems like a lot of fun, so I'll put in for the female role. I have three female characters, Witchblade - who will hate you - Ira who probably won't love you but will respect you and Lasair a Fae character I have yet to use. She'd probably just be fascinated with Dirks because he's human.

And on the other hand, there's THIS sassy lass, who will love you one day and hate you the next. Without reason or warning.

Ranger doesn't like dirks... and is somewhat knowledgeable about Althy, the Lore, and the gods... seeing as he's a prophet and whatnot.

Elundir has been given the position of the Scholarly character.

The female character is still up for grabs. Lillian is the right type of character, but the wrong age. Witchblade, Anila, and the Siren are a bit too dark for the role. Any other takers?

since you apparently didn't see my first post on page 1 i will say it again, I'm interested with the use of Poison. she's up for just about anything and hates just about everything to one degree or another.
