*Personality: Jiro is an eager young elf, who is energetic and always happy. He never lets thing bring him down. He tries to find the good in every situation. It is his dream to establish himself as a master of the Hyra Secrets.
Appearance: Hyra elves age twice as slowly as humans, so Jiro appears to be a young adolescent despite being twenty eight. He has pointy ears like all elfs and soft blue eyes. He usually wears his long black hair in a ponytail. His skin is fair and healthy looking. His body is skinny but not extremely so.
History: Jiro grew up without a family. His father died in battle a few months before his birth, and his mother died in labor. He was taken in a cared for by his people. They became his family. All of the elders were like fathers or mothers to him. All of the other children were like brothers and sisters.
The Hyra elves were known for the secrets magical arts. They learned how to wield the powers of the heavens. Using an ancient tongue that had almost been forgotten by their people they were able to wield the powers of the sun, moon, and stars. Many different tribes and races envied their secrets and waged war against them trying to steal their knowledge, but no one was ever able to defeat Hyra’s magicians in combat, until quite recently.
Jiro lived in the temples and learned the Hyra's ancient secrets. He worked hard trying to master every technique that he was shown. He worked harder than the others boys of his age partially because he had no family to home to every night but mainly because of a desire to resurrect his father’s name.
Jiro is currently unaware of his nation’s destruction. He was sent to a nearby village to purchase some purchase some extra food for the dry season. He was the only who was gone when the armies came. He is now the last of his race.
Skills: Move Silently – Jiro is capable making little or no sound when he moves, but when doing this, his speed becomes a quater of what it was.
Increased Hearing – As a Hyra elf, Jiro hears fifty percent better than the average human.
Extra Rods – As a Hyra elf, Jiro has more rods than cones in his eyes. This allows him to see better at night than the average man. His nighttime sight is increased by fifty percent.
Rampaging Stars – Jiro know only one spell from the secret arts. In this spell he fires three to fives balls of light from his palm. These balls of light are capable of doing minor damage. Getting hit by one will feel like getting stung by a bee. It can cause the spot where you were hit to become sore. Rarely they can even cause minor burns to the skin.
Jiro has no control over where they go when they leave his palm because they tend to change direction on their own. (like a balloon if you release the end of it when it is full of air) Jiro is only capable of using this spell once a day.
Swordplay – Jiro is average at sword play. He can hold his own against most fighters.
Partial Forasken Hyra Speech – Jiro knows a little of the ancient language used to control the secret magic.
Equipment: The Mood Swing Blade – This is not an ordinary longsword. This sword is made out of steel, but has been blessed by the Hyra elders. The strength of the sword has stayed the same, but the sword has acquired an unusual trait. It glows different colors depending on the wielder’s mood.
