Name: Oberon Détruire

Race: Human/Moon Reaper (dark elf like being)

Age: 24

Height: 6' 5"

Weight: 215

Appearance:
Oberon has the figure of a veteran foot soldier. His broad shoulders tower above the heads of many of the inhabitants of his small village. The weight he bares is not fat; it's almost all muscle. To his extreme fortune, he was born with no handicaps of any kind. His physique was absolutely stunning: muscular arms that seem harder than rock, toned legs that could climb straight up a mountain side, 8 pack abs, and fore arms that don’t seem intimidating at all...until the friendly handshake is made! Of course, he was not born this way, he trains very hard with the best elves in his village...sometimes even getting the better of them! What must really be a trade mark of Oberon are his eyes: one emerald, one sapphire... deep sapphire. These eyes seem to know all and strike fear in anyone who might oppose him, but at the same time, create a feeling of kindness and safety for those he cares about. His hair is also a definite give away: jet black laced with dark green streaks throughout his short cut hair. He has never been a stylish man, the common clothes often please him the best: cotton or wool shirt and cow hide pants often suit him well enough. Oberon no longer wears his dark green bandana unless he is faced with a difficult challenge. His body has grown slightly, but only in muscle mass, not height. His hair has gotten a bit longer, but not very noticeable, and he has gotten a little buffer on his arms. His right hand and forearm are slightly frosty blue from his PeaceMaker and are cold to touch.

Items:
His favorite article of clothing would have to be his dark forest green bandana. He has had it ever since he can remember and takes it where ever he goes, since it seems to ensue a type of power into him for an unknown reason...., a small nap sack, and a flint rock. The only armor he has is a silver chain mail that is very light and is worn under his shirt. His standard weapon of choice would be a steel scimitar he found while fishing as a boy down by his favorite pond. His truly favorite weapon is his PeaceMaker Knuckles. They are custom made "brass knuckles", except they are made from silver and an unknown rock substance. Along every knuckle joint there is a one inch spike made from pure silver, and the back hand is jotted with smaller one-fourth inch spikes. In the center of the top side of his hand is a pattern of two dragons twisting together above a crouching tiger engulfed in flames. This weapon allows him to cast any cold spells he may learn. Oberon's scimitar was destroyed in a fight during one of his quests. However, he compensated by liberating a chinese broad sword from the local dead bartender in the area. His close range combat required to him that he buy a titanium dagger. During a quest, he acquired a medallion that belonged to his original clan when he was only an infant; this medallion is called the Jackal Medallion. Fearing that he roamed the world with to light armor, he purchased a dehlar right forearm bracer with the symbol of winter imbued in the center. The color of forest green with black trim excited Oberon enough that 110 gold pieces was no problem for the humble warrior.Oberon had battled against a mage in Scara Brae in the Blackthorn forest and found a medallion connected to his journey on the defeated sorcerer. He also purchased a bracelet with razor sharp steel wire hiding inside.

Since Oberon lost his Reaper in a Theatre of War battle, he purchased a delyn great sword to replace it. In conjunction with his Jackal Medallion, he can hold it with one hand and swing it about the same speed as a long sword, otherwise he must use two hands to be effective in battle.

History:
His name was Oberon Détruire; at least, that's what the note attached to the basket said. Along with the note was a gold medallion of two dragons twisting over a crouching tiger. Now, most Dark Elves would've left the small infant to the wolves that roamed that forest. But one couple could not help but notice his eyes, emerald and sapphire. It must be a sign they thought, so they took the babe in as their own. As he grew, they villagers noticed subtle characteristics in the child; he could be angry one second, but calm and soothing the next. They had no idea what he might possibly be, until his hair changed color. That only worsened the confusion and the people gave up and accepted him as one of their own.

In his middle teens, he thought to become a blacksmith and set out to create "The Ultimate Weapon". Of course this was a childish dream, but he was nonetheless taught in the skill of metals and such. One day while exploring a small cave he had recently found, he noticed that there was a rock substance he had never seen before and it felt unusually cold. So he chipped away as much as he possibly could and soon found out that the inner core was freezing, but warming up fast. After much thought, he decided to bring it back in a small bucket full of water as to keep it cold on his way back home. On his way home, while thinking of what type of sword he should create from this interesting mineral, a small fly began to irritate him He swatted it down and it fell into the bucket and instantly froze. Baffled, he noticed that the water was still liquid.

He rushed home to tell his mentor and together they spent 6 months molding the mineral with various metals and woods. In the end, they found that silver held together the strongest. The only interesting side effect they noticed that the creation was always cold…not blizzard cold…just cold; they would dump it in a scalding hot water and the metal would still be cold. Satisfied with the little experiment they designed (on paper) weapons that could be laced with this neat little effect and could sell for an amazing price. But upon the return to the cave, they noticed that there was enough for just one small weapon, a dagger or smaller. Discouraged the mentor went back to work on his previous ideas and jobs. Oberon however decided he still wanted to make something…and created the “PeaceMaker Knuckles”. But something was missing from the design…he asked his father if he had any ideas. His father thought for maybe 3 seconds and new exactly what he could use. He disappeared into the back of their small house and came back a few minutes later with the golden medallion. It was then that Oberon’s father revealed the truth and origin of his arrival.

Oberon had his weapon complete now. With the emblem and the design ready he worked for 4 months on the project, making sure everything was perfect. After it was all said and done, he had exceeded even the expectations and skills of his mentor. Now all that was left was to test it. He went into the forest and found a large oak tree. He slipped on the knuckles and readied his stance. He took a deep breath, closed his eyes, listened to the creek churn with slurps and swishes, heard the birds chirp and cry, and felt the wind cool blow on the back of his neck…everything seemed natural…too natural; he snapped open his eyes to see his best friend and greatest rival, Beowulf, dropping from above on a tree limb. Faster than lighting, Oberon leapt to his right and rolled out of Beowulf’s attack. This was no surprise; Beowulf had been trying for years to get a sneak attack on Oberon, but never could. He seemed to know if something was wrong in the area immediately around him. Oberon showed off his new weapon and impressed his rival. But Beowulf also had something to show, A topaz was imbued into his boken, and it crackled and popped with electricity.

Impressed, Oberon challenged his friend to a dual. They sparred with their weapon of choice: Oberon had his scimitar, and Beowulf had his boken. Oberon was in for a fight since he had no idea what to expect from the newly upgraded boken, but decided not to worry. That was a mistake he would never again commit. The power in the topaz allowed Beowulf to create a shield around him and give anyone who touched it the shock of their life. As Oberon rushed in to end to dual, Beowulf stepped back and unleashed his boken upon the would-be attacker. The last thing Oberon remembers is a white light.

Years pass and they grow up together training and fighting. Oberon becomes a master in hand to hand combat and is fairly proficient with his scimitar. Beowulf has improved his boken skills and enhanced his topaz to further levels of power and intensity.
Everything is fine until the pattern on Oberon’s medallion appears in burned down villages and blood soaked hills. The stories reach Oberon’s little village and a group of the bravest warriors set out to patrol the area. Beowulf stays behind, for the “just in case”.
Oberon’s team comes up empty handed and returns home after a few hours. When they reach the village, all that is left is Beowulf fending off purple elf looking creatures. Their eyes are blood red, their hair is jet black and long, and they wore the sign of Oberon’s medallion! When Oberon’s team rushed over to help, the attackers ran off into the thick brush of the forest.
Beowulf told the story how the monsters had flooded into the village like locusts. He did all he could but, there were just too many of them. They seemed to be looking for something and once they found it they left, only a few staying behind to finish off any survivors. Oberon had a sudden thought and checked his house. It was destroyed; and he knew that the medallion was gone….

Beowulf announced that he would head north and find out as much as he could. He took the rest of them men with him and promised Oberon they would be once again.

As Oberon stood among the rubble, he noticed a tiny fire, from the ashes of some poor victim, flicker backwards and forwards from the wind. He began to get sad, then angry; rage overwhelmed his mind and body. He threw back his head and howled into the coming night. He was in total despair and anguish; everything was gone! He took another deep breath and roared with all his might…-when suddenly his PeaceMaker shook violently and a deep ocean blue mist burst all around his hand. He didn’t know what to make of it…when it suddenly hit him…the mineral had finally activated! He knew that this was important…nothing had ever happened by chance with him. With restored hope and fresh vengeance on his mind, he set out east, to track down the murders of his home. Oberon made a journey to Corone and found the murders of his home. Along with his ally Velius, they brought down two of the leading Hell Reapers in the Corone and Radasanth area. With no leads to follow once again, Oberon contiues to explore the world of Althanas and find the leaders that corrupt this beautiful world. His adventures around the world have turned him into a strong warrior, capable of taking on any task that he is faced with.

Oberon left the continent of Corone to go on a journey across the sea to new lands. Through his team he learned of the ways of leadership and how to believe in himself. Upon his return, he decided it was time to read the letter he had found a year back, and read it, discovering of the location of even more Hell Reapers in Radasanth. When he went to investigate, he ran into Velius and the pair explored the belly of the city. It was there they became known of the Moon Reapers, the counterparts to the Hell Reapers, and Oberon was informed of his heritage. Now with his PeaceMaker gone, and a new ability from its destruction, he is heading back to the Magi Tower to devise a plan to eliminate the threat to Althanas.

Unfortunately, a war broke out at the Magi Tower, which ended up falling in ruins once Velio shattered the crystal. Now the Grey Braves are scattered throughout Althanas, leaderless.

Oberon took to his own worries after that, locating the Hell Reapers’ secret experiments with elements of nature and their own soldiers and reuniting with his childhood friend, and only survivor of his village, Beowulf. Together, they attempted to out a stop to the Hell Reaper’s plans, but were captured. Oberon eventually broke free, only to discover they had been kept in an old Moon Reaper burial mountain. The spirits were incredibly upset with the Hell Reapers calling it their “base” and made it a priority to let them know by aiding Oberon in his mission. However, things took an ugly turn as Beowulf was used as a lab rat and turned into a grotesque monster. With only Oberon standing between the now insane and bloodthirsty Beowulf, he had no choice but to fight. It was then the spirits informed Oberon he had the power to unlock his true potential, his True Form. He used this form in a painful battle against his dearest friend and succeeded in freeing his soul from that monstrous shell.
Now Oberon is on his next journey to find a way to either cripple the Hell Reapers or bring Beowulf back from the dead.

Skills: Being a blacksmith has allowed Oberon to recognize many different metals and manipulate them as he sees fit. He is no detective by any standards, but his gut feelings seem to lead him in the right direction, most of the time anyway. His is skilled in hand to hand combat and with sword fighting.

Magic: The only magic skill he knows at this point is Arctic Fist. His PeaceMaker emits razor sharp icicle about half an inch in diameter. At this point he can either use them for melee purposes or throw them at his enemy when he swings his arm.

Inferno Sword (Lv 1)
With the help of a medallion, Oberon can perform fire spells. With the help of his friend Velius, who can perform fire spells, Oberon has created his very own fire incantation. When Oberon holds his sword or dagger, he can engulf the weapons in flames. If he releases his grip on the weapon, the spell is lifted and he must recite it again once he reclaims it.

Lightning Touch (Lv 2)
Oberon's new Eagle Medallion allows him to cast this spell that he was taught by his friend Beowulf, a lightning caster himself. Through concentration, Oberon can emit lighting through his hands, sending a violent shock through any living thing. If he holds a weapon the weapon holds the same properties but he can only sustain the spell with a weapon for 5 to 6 minutes before taking a 30 minute break.

Freeze (Lv 2)
The mineral in Oberon's PeaceMaker has broken another barrier and now allows Oberon to freeze moderate amounts of liquid, like a bucket, glass of water, or freeze a chunk of out of a pond. Because the PeaceMaker is always on his right hand, Oberon's hand also holds the power up to his forearm, giving it a slight blueish tint.

Arctic Fist (Lv 1)
Oberon's Arctic Fist can now summon ice spikes about seven inches in length and he can have them sprout from the bracer on his arm.

Arctic Fist (Upgrade) (Lv 4)
The ice is same tier as plynt now, and can grow as long as 2 feet if he summons a single spike for any odd job, otherwise he can summon a barrage of them up to 14 inches, (which is impractical in battle, but cool to show off to the ladies )

Arcitc Knuckles (Lv 4)
In his last battle with the Hell Reapers, Oberon accomplished a new trick. He was able to channel his ice powers through his knuckles, successfully emitting ice spikes from each knuckle on his right hand. He has trained to improve this ability and can now summon the spikes on both hands. The spikes themselves can reach a length of 8 inches and about three inches in diameter, they are also the tier of plynt.

True Form (Lv 4) **Gained through solo quest.
After the event with the Hell Reapers took place, Oberon can now use his True Form when he sees a moon of any phase. He grows to 16 feet tall, his hair grows to shoulder length, his strength doubles once in that form, and his speed goes up 1.8 times. During this transformation, his eyes turn completely black and his skin turns a dark navy blue. He can stay in this form for 4 posts in a quest and 3 posts in a battle. It can be used once while in a battle and up to 3 times in a quest, with the obvious “only when a moon is out” conditions. Can be used once per night.

True Power (Lv 4) **Gained through solo quest.
While in his True Form, Oberon can create a ball of energy from pure, raw ice in his hand. Relative to his size, the ball would resemble a soccer ball. Relative to a normal person, it would be the size of a large beach ball. When thrown, it has the speed of an arrow and instantly freezes anything it comes into contact with. It also has a splash damage effect that slows anything down, numbing the muscles and tendons, for about 15 seconds within a five foot radius. Anything outside that radius is just knocked back slightly and dazed for a second or two. It can be used once per battle and is limited to the same quest conditions.

***Also, my GP is in my lv 3 profile. It didn't change since then.

Just make sure you clear midnight duels in the citadel with opponents before you drop true form on them.

Approved.
