Anybody with eyes could see the past in me. I had slaughtered a mother and her baby, burned a village church containing it's folk, and killed a local evangelist, all for myself. Though my alliance with spiders could prove to be useful, my chances of escaping an act like this were minimal. I sucked the life out of innocent people to feed my own pride, like a mother nurtures her child.

As I was walking down the path from Akashima, I felt something bite my leg. I looked down, and there was a spider greatly resembling the ones I had encountered before. "Do you speak, pest?" I asked, to see if it was just a coincidence. "I am not important to our rendevous. I bring word from my queen and master, Nagan'n." it quickly replied. It looked up at me as if it thought I was showing fear or intimidation to it, to why I'm not sure. "Superb. Make sure you let her know that if she drags me into some web again I'll squash her like any of you." I said, trying to prevent any future chaos. "Whatever, slime. Regardless, Nagan'n thanks you for your contribution and would like you to receive this poison. Straight from her fangs, it will kill anything relying on a bloodstream with haste." The creature said, handing me a strange vial before quickly skimpering away. It was a strange object, the vial wasn't made out of any glass, but a strange, solid web rather. The liquid within it was almost indentical to the purple slime I had seen earlier, but slightly thinner. I carefully placed it in one of my pockets, for future use.

The further I traveled down my path, the more stumps and young trees I saw. There must have been a large lumbermill where I was going because of the perfection in the cuts of the trees.

Eventually, a man approached me with a hatchet cocked like he was going to attack me, but he had a strange smirk on his face, he was obviously a lumberjack. I quickly looked around to make sure there were no witnesses, and charged him with both my axes giving me a solid guard. The man looked in awe for a second then said "Wait! I was just kidding! I didn't actually want to battle you!" Well then maybe you shouldn't have engaged me in combat, you slab of rot." I stated, before striking him in the side. He attempted to hit me with his hatchet, which was obviously no big problem. I swiftly ducked my head, then tackled him.

"Please sir, spare me! I'll do anything!" he begged. "I'm afraid I can't do that, you ugly worm. You see, my demon lords deserve a bit of a sacrifice...so enjoy your trip to hell, and while you're there make sure you burn." I cackled, before swinging my axe at his neck, cleanly beheading him. Luckily, he didn't bleed much, and I didn't get any on my body, just my axes. Before I left, I used his shirt to clean them.

Nobody saw, and nobody had to knew, so I continued down my path...

In the tower I layed, rotting. Now, only my mind still existed. So this is what death was like. I figured I would just eventually manifest into nothingness, but that proved to be false. After about a day, I felt a great force accompany me, like a horse sitting on a butterfly. At that, I felt nothing more then imprisoned and lost what little connection between my soul and body that still remained...then my body arose. It bent down to pick up my former axe, then slammed it at the ground to grab my attention. "Greetings, Gonsus Pureheart. I have never spoken to you before, but I am your master, Stlelfethin. Since you failed to continue your family's chain tradition of evangelism, your body now provides... other use for me. As a God, I can exist in more then one place, proving the power that can be cradled like a baby, yet can scorch entire regions like a wildfire. You no longer hold this shell as your own. I will unsheathe it's true wonder, and eradicate the thieves and murderers that infest this planet, not hindered by mercy and law as you were. You may follow me if you like, but don't stand in my way." Stlelfethin said, briefly and starkly.

Then he began to move. Down the stairs from the tower, he trotted. When he reached the gate, he quickly looked around, and once again trotted forward. I followed him. He then hastened his pace, running straight at a hooded peasant sprinting out of a market, holding something. I am guessing he stole it, because Stlelfethin was holding my axe in a battle position, charging. He then began to sprint, and he was hugely fast and graceful, like an antelope traversing through trees and shrubs. The thief didn't even compare to him in speed, and Stlelfethin caught up without delay. Just as the hooded criminal looked up to see who was trailing him, Stlelfethin cut him down with my axe, right in the back. He quickly tumbled to the ground, and died...as a finishing blow Stlelfethin spit at his carcass, walking away.

Stelfethin turned around and glanced at me, at that I felt myself being pulled back into my former body. When I was inside, I found myself in an empty black room, possibly my figuritive imagination. Only a voice was heard, no body other than my own could be seen anywhere. "That Gonsus, is what a true zealot would've done in my name. I will grant you control of your body back any time there is moonlight, in occasion and honor of your massacre. Only when you seek your revenge on the demon that killed you will you regain full control of your shell." A mysterious voice said. Suddenly, I felt myself looking out of my old eyes again, but with no power.

As I was pondering how anything here was possible, my body started to travel forward, towards Concordia...

That was fun. I was beginning to enjoy the sharpness of my axes, I could never seem to cause enough gore. Though I knew I could never be caught, I was getting paranoid. I quickened my pace. It wasn't long before I caught glimpse of the city. It was huge. I stood at the top of a bluff, overlooking the entire landscape. There were tall buildings, small buildings, cathedrals, temples, markets, and just about everything you could think of. From my point of view, it was beautiful, like a swan barely grazing the water. It was directly in front of a gorgeous horizon...the only thing that could've made me happier is seeing it on fire, hearing the agonizing cries and screams of mothers and children.

Just as I was beginning to head down the hill, I heard a stern "Hey you! Stop right there! What do you know of this man's murder?" they asked, holding up his head. There were three armed men, fully armored. I had to use my gift of heresy, as I wasn't about to join my demon lords in hell. "By the gods...that is horrible...where did you find that?" I lied, with a pseudostutter. "Just a few miles back, on this same trail, o'er yonder. I'm not sure why he was killed, other then the possibility of tribal sacrifices, as his body wasn't looted or anything. Where in the hell did you come from, how could you not see a beheaded carcass laying in the middle of the path?" One of the men stated then inquired with fury. "Actually, I didn't come through this way at all. I was in those woods, hunting. Unfortunetely I didn't get anything, as you can well see." I lied, pointing to a small grouping of trees east of me. One of the men seemed unsure, but the rest found it believable enough. "Very well, you may go. Stay out of trouble, and by the law of Concordia you are not to speak of this to anyone." They sternly said.

Hah. I had been nearly arrested, yet I escaped easily, without even having to jog. Even if those guards were ever wise enough to realize the criminal behind this act, they would be dumbfounded and prideless to whoever there master was. It was like I was a whale trying to be fished out by somebody on a canoe, I was unstoppable.

Without a worry on me, I continued towards Concordia. It was a short walk, but once again, I was stopped by a guard, but not for the same purpose. "Can I pass?" I asked. "State your purpose, traveler. We aren't to let just anyone in." the watcher said confidently. "Why not? I just want to go through the city." I replied. "Concordia is being overcrowded, and innocent patrons and lumberjacks are losing their jobs because of it. As of the present, Concordia is to accept no more citizens other than the fruit of it's dwellers. This is simply a precautionary act towards our economy. You may pass, but for a maximum of two nights. If we haven't received word of your departure by then, the city will be thoroughly searched and you will be escorted to the same gate you've entered." The guard said, before stepping out of my way. It was no matter, I could easily find whoever led this place and threaten him to give me some sort of pass or exception into Concordia, or by my blade I would destroy him. Either way I planned to kill him because someone with scars all over his body couldn't be too hard to track down.

As I felt nothing throughout my entire body, I still was gifted with my senses. When I looked around, I could see soldiers scanning the entire premises as if they were searching for something. When I stopped to listen I could hear the impatient chatting of men as if something terrible had just happened. If I had stopped to smell, I would've tracked in my nostrils is the rancid stench of murder. There was a rotting corpse straight ahead of me, with about four men surveying it. Just as I was beginning to gain interest Stlelfethin spoke. "What has happened here?" He asked, as if speaking to the entire crowd instead of nobody in general. "This doesn't concern you, bagabond. Continue through, stay out of our way and go about your buisness." One guard said, not even looking at us. "I asked you a simple question, man. Answer it honestly and there will be no reason for quarry." Stlelfethin stated, angerly. "Are you threatening me? If you are, you're only a fool. I have two dozen armed soldiers directly with me, and someone of your stature thinks he's intimidating? Get the hell out of here." The man said, lividly. At his word, we were grabbed and dragged about fifteen yards ahead, then they let go. For whatever reason, Stlelfethin didn't even try and fight. We just kept walking, trying to figure what had happened. About half a mile ahead, we came to a hilltop. It overlooked the entire city, which held a very drawing beauty. Without even a pause Stlelfethin continued down the bluff. By the gate of the city, there was a post as if someone needed to be watching the entrance. Stlelfethin continued in. When we entered, the streets were filled with citizens...
