As for attire; Teefa wears a white dress, soft suede gloves and boots and a long red ribbon that acts as a belt to hold various small leather bags around her waist.
History:
Born into a rich, noble and influential family, Teefa grew up with all the advantages that a wealthy environment could offer. She knew no hardships in her childhood, other than sometimes feeling lonely and not having any friends. Since her parents were always too caught up in maintaining their aristocratic status, Teefa was left under the care of a maid named Foori -whom she grew very fond of; They always spent time together in the great gardens behind the huge mansion they all lived in. It was Foori that taught Teefa the importance of kindness and generosity. It was around this time that Teefa realized that she didn't want riches and wealth; She wanted to be someone that was able to help the less fortunate.
At the age of 12, Teefa was to an expensive, private school where she chose to study -among other things- alchemy, natural science and medicine. After one year, she was the top student of her class and excelled at a tremendous pace. Noticing her aspiration to become a physician, the head counselor of the academy decided that it would be wise for her to continue her studies at the famous 'white league institute'. Here Teefa further developed her knowledge about the healing arts.
One day, Teefa found a very old and worn book in the library, it didn't even have stamps on the inside of its cover -which were usually on books when they are lent out. As Teefa flipped through the pages of the book, a vision flashed through her mind. A warm sensation flowed through her body and a bright light enveloped her. The intensity of the energy that surrounded her eventually caused her to lose consciousness. When she woke up again in the infirmary, she felt the energy still within her. Several weeks later, an accident occurred and some of the students of the institute were severely injured. Teefa, who was present during the accident, ran to aid the wounded. As she touched one of the wounded, a bright light flashed from her finger and miraculously healed all wounds of her fellow student. Word spread quickly and it didn't take very long before her powers were put to the test. As she proved to have fully mastered the healing arts as well as advanced alchemy, she became well respected and looked up against by all students.
When Teefa graduated, she was barely 15 years old. After receiving her diploma, she decided to travel home by herself instead of taking the carriage. Accompanied by one of her friends she started her journey and along the way, she offered her skills to those who needed it. A year had passed and her charitable work did not go unnoticed. The same way word had spread had on her school, so did it across her homeland. Eventually, people recognized -and revered- her as 'Master Healer'.
Teefa had returned home and learned that her only childhood friend, the maid Foori, had fallen ill to an unknown disease. As fast as she could, Teefa rushed to Foori's aid. Since Teefa had healed and cured many people, regardless of the ailment, she was would be able to fully restore Foori, however no matter how hard Teefa tried, Foori's condition did not improve. While desperately trying to save her only true friend, Teefa completely exhausted herself as she used all of her power. Eventually, Teefa lost consciousness. When she woke up again in her own bed, she was tended to by Foori; Alive and well. Teefa jumped out of the bed, overjoyed to see that the most important person in her life was successfully cured.
After witnessing her skills and hearing the rumors, Teefa's parents decided they could use their daughter's fame and reputation as a leverage to increase their status. They would do so by arranging a marriage between Teefa and St.Jean-Paul Rodania; The son of a very rich businessman that had many connections within the aristocratic society. On Teefa's 17th birthday with the presence of many guests, her parents made the announcement. Teefa, who was unaware of the arrangement, was shocked to hear that her parents decided this without asking her how she would feel about it. Afterwards she realized that her mother nor her father really ever cared much how she felt about anything in her life. Sad and disappointed, Teefa retreated to her room, where Foori comforted her.
Although Teefa tried to convince her parents that she wasn't ready for marriage yet, they did not listen. They told her that she was in the prime of her life and if any time was good enough to get married, it would be now. Teefa then went and said that she didn't love Jean-Paul, and she hardly knew him. It was to no avail, her parents avoided discussion. To them, everything was already decided, regardless of Teefa's feelings. It was then that Teefa realized that she was only being used in her parents' selfish plot to gain more fame and fortune.
One night, Teefa and Foori had a long conversation about everything that has happened. It was Foori that had said that maybe running away from this kind of life would be the best. Teefa, who was in tears, decided to indeed run away from her life of comfort and luxury; She had no need for it anyway. After receiving a special necklace from Foori and a heartbreaking goodbye, Teefa fled in de middle of night; Destination unknown.
It did not take very long before her parents had discovered that her daughter was missing. Infuriated by her 'selfish' decision to run away, they immediately gathered all family members together. After a long debate it was agreed upon that Teefa had willingly shamed the name of the family and would therefore have to be returned to face her punishment. They hired some of the best and most experienced trackers in the region. They also had posters put up with a reward for those who was able to find her... It was no meager reward, the price for finding Teefa was so incredibly high, that not only trackers from the local region went on a search for her, but also bountyhunters whose exploits were legendary. Everyone offered their help, from local townsfolk to traders as well as merchants from all over the country; after all, they were all worried about their 'Master Healer'. If only they knew why Teefa had ran away...
3 years had passed, and Teefa had traveled across land and sea, to unknown lands. Occasionaly she stayed in small towns or villages and offered to work for food or small amounts of money. Every now and then she used her skills to heal or cure wounds and diseases. Although she loved to aid the people in need, she was always reluctant to bring out her powers in fear of being discovered. Therefore she never stayed very long in one place.
Still wandering the world with no set destination, Teefa learns and experiences many things in life. Whether the experience is a new life lesson or a new skill or profession, she is happy the way things have turned out to be. She does still think about Foori and hopes that everything is fine back home. Although unaware of her persuirs and the reward offered for her return, she does suspect that her parents may have sent for someone to look for her...
Skills:
Heal: One of the most powerful curative abilities that Teefa possesses. By channeling her own life energy upon another person, she is able to heal wounds and fully recover the condition of that person. In most cases minor wounds will disappear without leaving any scars (as if they were never inflicted), medium will still leave marks. When using this ability, it requires a lot of Teefa's energy and depending on the severity of the wound cause great deal of fatigue. If overly used without taking time to rest, it can cause Teefa to lose consciousness. Teefa is studying and working hard to improve her healing skills. Someday she wants to be able to heal the mortally wounded, thus saving lives.
Purify: During her studies, Teefa discovered ways to remove toxins from a subject's body. As with her healing ability, she needs to focus and channel energy upon a person. The effect is almost immediate but does cause a great deal of fatigue, therefore Teefa is only able to use this ability only once a day. Due to the complexity of some poisons, some of them would require too much energy to be fully removed. Teefa is still trying to learn ways to improve her purifying ability.
Vax: Combined with her knowledge in alchemy, Teefa is able to enhance the potency of medicine to cure diseases. By 'charging' the medicine with spiritual energy the effects of the medicine will increase drastically. Depending on the disease and how far it has progressed, more of these 'charges' would be required. Although this ability doesn't cause as much fatigue as her healing and purifying abilities, it is still dependant on the availability of medicine or vaccines.
Radiance (latent): This is a defensive ability that Teefa is not able to control at will, rather it is triggered by mental distress or immediate signs of danger. Under threatening conditions, Teefa's body will begin to radiate a bright and blinding light. The intensity can increase to such a degree that any normal human being or animal are forced to cover their eyes.
Medicine: Thanks to her herbal and chemical studies, Teefa was able to learn to create simple medicine out of plants and other kinds of material. When given the occasion, Teefa will extend her knowledge by studying new plants and chemicals. (She is prone to show curiosity when in a laboratory or herbalists shop).
Transmutation: An advanced skill of Alchemy. Teefa is able to alter the properties of basic substances into complex substances. Because the use of this skill was only part of her education, Teefa hasn't further utilized it after she graduated.
BASIC SKILLS:
* Sewing - Teefa can fix clothing with needle and thread.
* Cooking - Able to make delicious food and knowledge of exotic cuisine.
Question: Is it allowed that, during an RP she 'learns' something new, and that it is added to the profile? (after all, I'd like her to grow and evolve at my own pace). Another reason is that I can't think of anything else to add right now...
Equipment:
Necklace of Ryfari - A keepsake from Teefa's beloved maid. It is said to protect the wearer from negative energy and improves the flow of positive energy.
Staff of the White League - This staff was given to Teefa when she graduated at the 'white leage institute'. It is a 3 ft. long oak-wood staff with small blue orb fitted at the top end. The staff is used to help channel mental and/or spiritual energy.
Familiars: None at present.
NOTE: since it is my first time here, I hope everything is adequate. Should I have made any mistakes, please inform me and I will make all required alterations.
