In a land enshrouded by darkness and evil, a world where technology and magic are mixed for no aparent reason, a world where there seem to be an infinite number of adventurers and an extreme shortage of regular people, a world where every single person is from a unique rare far away village which is home to their very own race, there was one such adventurer in one such village.
NIJIN sits on an overly dramatic and inappropriately placed cliff overlooking a lush valley. All villages of course are remarkably flat except for a single such cliff. The wind blows and NIJIN's long hair flutters.
NIJIN: Dot dot dot
The day shifts suddenly to sunset and the colors of the approaching twilight add emotional gravity to an already over-hyped scene.
NIJIN: It is time for me to leave this place...
NIJIN saunters down from the cliff as all brooding dark heroes do and returns to a single house on the outskirts of his village. The house is empty as both of NIJIN's parents are obviously dead. He takes his stash of 100 gold pieces out from under his bed and equips a WoodStaff.
NIJIN: Goodbye, village. I won't see you again.
NIJIN: ...except to sleep for free and inevitably for another dramatic event before the endgame.
Fade to darkness as NIJIN inappropriately leaves in the dead of night, walking out to the nearby Creepy Woods. The howls and shrieks of various wild animals can be heard along with the rustling of leaves. A single bush seems to be rustling most obviously. NIJIN approaches to investigate.
