Oh yes. I'm heading over to Illinois to hang out with the Greek half of the family for a surprise birthday party for my cousin. There will be fun and probably dancing, and as always, free Greek food. It's good being related to people who own a restaurant. :D Life is good.

I'll be gone from tomorrow to Sunday, possibly Monday morning. It's not really that long of a time, but I do have some posts to catch up on, so they will either be taken care of tomorrow morning or Sunday night.

Yeah, everytime someone finds out I'm Greek, that's the first thing they say. "Ohmigod is it like in that Big Fat Greek Wedding movie??"

And well.....I can't deny it. Most of that is true.

Although my mom's family was the one who did the roasting-a-lamb-on-a-spit-in-the-backyard when she was a kid, not me. And surprisingly enough, her aunt also chased her around trying to get her to eat the eyeball.

....can't get away from stereotypes. -__-

If I had the tradition of roasting lamb on an open fire in the backyard, heck I'll chase down my little cousin and make her eat the eyeballs. Yummers. :p

...What? They're rather good, I might say.
