Deek
07-30-07, 11:09 PM
Name: Dikkavrangr (Deek for short; much easier to pronounce)
Race: Demon
Age: Unknown (Appears a child)
Height/Weight: 4'6"/ 75 lbs.
Appearance: Deek appears to be only a young child of about age ten. He is very small, although he does not see this as a limitation, but quite the opposite. His black hair hangs low, over his eyes and ears. Deek's eyes are colored light blue. His body is slim, and he does not have much muscle to speak of. Though he does not wear a shirt, he is very pale skinned because the sun does not effect his skin. He wears dark red pants that cover his legs to about halfway down his shins. They are ripped and tattered from years of wear. Deek wears no shoes, proudly displaying his paper white feet.
Personality: Deek's personality is his own. He is almost always in a high-spirited, good mood, often when he should not be. It wouldn't be correct to say that it takes a lot to bring him to anger, instead it takes only what he sees as atrocious, which is often seen as normal to most, such as a bug being killed, or someone stepping a flower. Deek is not a formal person, and he does not act very politely to those he should. He has a twisted sense of humor, and has been known to burst out laughing in the middle of very humorless situations. He likes company and will stand by someone whom he likes. The demon does not throw himself into confrontations like many of those who share his race, and would much rather study a leaf, or something of that nature than get himself into a fight. Overall, Deek is a good person at heart, and will stand up for a good cause. Unless of course, he finds something better to do.
Occupation: Currently unemployed.
History: Not much is known about the history of the demon Dikkavrangr. He was found unconscious by an explorer inside an abandoned temple in the ruins of Fallien. After seeing that the boy was alive, and after numerous attempts to rouse the child from his slumber, the man decided to take his discovery to his home in the countryside of Corone. There, the man spent several weeks attempting various methods of waking the child, but to no avail. He was powerless to help the child. One day the man woke to find the child sitting up, and very much awake. Surprised, he tried to question the boy. Deek simply looked at the man, smiled and said, "Hello. I'm Deek." Then he walked out of the man's house and he never saw him again.
Skills: Deek has some arcane knowledge, but it is very limited due to his loss of memory. He can only remember few spells that allow him to perform small feats. What he can do with his magic is limited by the words he can remember, and he often forgets them when he is trying to cast a certain spell, or he will say the wrong words, and cause more harm than help. His abilities range from small tasks such as levitating small objects such as a pebble, to creating minor illusions. Each of the spells Deek casts drain energy from his body. Something very small such as a levitation of a small rock or a coin will not drain a large amount of his energy, while if he attempted to levitate anything too heavy, the spell will not work, and he would also pass out from fatigue. Also, the complexity of a spell is limited by his weak abilities at this time. For instance if he tried to cast a large illusion, it would have the same draining effect on his body, causing him to lose consciousness.
Other than his magical abilities, Deek has some skill with his weapon of choice, his staff sword. He has slightly above average abilities with this weapon, and no other.
Equipment: Deek carries a staff sword, which is an oak staff about two and a half feet in length with a double-edged, steel blade of a sword attached to the end of it. The blade is a foot and three quarters long and about two and a half inches wide. It is a light weighted weapon, and Deek has slightly above average handling of it.
