Name: Tailya Thistledown
Age: 18
Race: Highlander
Hair Color: Platinum w/ black highlights.
Eye Color: Dark Blue with gold specks
Height: 5’11’’
Weight: 170kg

*Personality:
Tailya’s a happy friendly girl. But only when she’s getting her own way. This is one young lady who the world revolves around and anything or one who doesn’t follow this rule isn’t worth knowing about.
A selfish girl at heart, there’s probably some good buried down deep inside of her somewhere, but it’s not a factor that comes to light very often. Especially when in a particularly vindictive or selfish mood.
She likes to start fights, of course not with herself in any sort of physical danger. But by aggravating situations and getting others to fight for or over herself. This makes wonderful entertainment and is quite a hobby of hers. It’s also one of the best shows towards proving that she has a nasty little power over others.

Appearance:
Tailya’s a girl with a nice figure in the more full bodied manner. She’s got all the curves in the right places with perhaps a little room to grow as she’s yet to fill out into adulthood. At eighteen she’s not the prettiest girl in the world via the traditional sense, but what she doesn’t carry in glamour she carries in personality.
Out of the ordinary on your typical human Tailya has a couple of decidedly wolfy features. The most obvious of which is a two foot fluffy tail coming out of her backside. It’s a decidedly nice tail, with a pretty flagging to it, in the same platinum colouring as her hair with ebony points to the ends. Similarly themed silky fur runs down the back of her calves and from wrist to elbows on each arm. Both aspects usually covered by the lengthier in arm/leg variety of tops/pants she chooses to wear.
Fingers and toes also lean towards her wolfy nature with both ending in nice ivory claws a half inch in length each. Teeth are slightly different, with a larger exaggeration to her canines over most human types and with an extra set of scissor teeth to the detraction of a coupla molars.
Clothing comes in a variety of bits and pieces, though currently she’s stuck with a loose fitting cotton shirt, missing half it’s buttons and loose fitting brown pants made of some sort of dead animal that ties at both the waist and ankles with leather cord.
Last feature would be the Dark blue eyes with hints of gold in them. And that’s it.

History:
Tailya’s history’s nothing spectacular. She’s the third daughter to her father, the first to her mother, from Danube, where all the highlander whelps come from. Her father was a distinctly doggy brute with a decent reputation hanging from his fur. Her mother was a fair maiden taken by the rugged ways of the muttly sort. It wasn’t exactly a really solidly based long term relationship but it worked for a time.

Tailya’s got an sister a good ten or so years older than her that’s more wolf than man, one who she’s only ever seen twice. Then there’s the older brother by eight years who’s been her main benefactor seeing her parents aren’t much of a show anymore.
Daddy dearest disappeared some ten years ago in less than ideal circumstances. One can’t really be certain if he’s maimed, missing or dead. But there hasn’t been sign of hide nor hair of him for over a decade and none are the wiser as to his where abouts or last mitigating circumstances.
Tailya’s mother being the sort she is, wasn’t about to waste her life away in a village of those who had no real world sense towards the value of material things. So when a nice young nobleman came through the village she abandoned all pretence of a previous family and left with him. No, Samantha Tearwater did not have a husband, nor even a lover, and she most definitely did not have any children. She was only here in the muttly village because she’d been turned out of her home by vile circumstances and here was the only safe place for her to be until she could go back and claim her fortune with a legitimate man.

Soooo.. Yes. Tailya’s been under the care of her older brother. A sort of half decent fellow who’s a habit of wandering off for variable amounts of time and appearing once again carrying all sorts of trophies and things. Always a novelty really.

The last few years have been interesting. On one of the trips Trance came back from he brought back with him a female who has since taken it into her head that she’s supposed to be the motherly sort to Tailya. The fact that Tailya is more than competent enough on her own and is only three years younger than the girl seems to be quite lost on her.

Tailya’s passed her ‘adult’ test. An amusing endeavor that follows her personality of taking life as a game and not one she tends to pay much attention to the rules of. She’s made a reputation of herself for getting what she wants, when she wants and how ever damned well she wants it.
Boys are fun and by far the best method of getting these sorts of things to happen so far as she’s found.

Becoming a teenager brought upon a wonderful kind of trouble for the village from a girl who wouldn’t take no for an answer. Tailya’s never been the prettiest girl in the batch, but she’s got personality and an air about her that commands attention. This is a girl who knows what she has and how best to use it to get things. Something she quickly became despised for by the other girls. For that matter, any and all females near on in the village. Excluding the git her half brother has brought home as well, she just thinks motherly thoughts and there’s no threat from Tailya towards a half brother.

Now, these ‘skills’ she’s learnt these last such and such years are what have currently brought her to her present situation.

Tailya’s preference for seeing just what exactly she can get others to do for her resulted in wonderful little event within the doggie village. It was a triangle in a triangle in a quadrangle of relationships between different mutts. And there was Tailya in the middle pulling all the strings.
As things happened two girls were nearly at each other’s throats, someone almost died, four different mutt boys ended up with broken limbs, one a concussion and this was only the first resulting brawl.
It was a week before all the stories were sorted out and the true person of blame was worked out. It was Tailya of course.
She’d been working her way up to this scale of an event.
Pretty much all the petty grievences between this and that of the younger crowd and even some of the older could be traced back to the bitch, and with each year the occurrences were escalating with their ensuring disasters. This was just the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Of course, Tailya’s not an idiot. She realized that perhaps she’s pushed things that little bit further than she should of. So making use of the time it would take to figure it all out and that it was most definitely her who caused all the problems in the first place. Well, she got herself ready and skedaddled.

Of her provisions the only interesting thing of note would have to be the lovely big silver coated warhammer her brother brought back from one of his trips some years ago and had continually stated she couldn’t touch. Seeing as she didn’t see herself coming back any time soon and that well, he hadn’t actually used the pretty thing in all the time he’d had it. Well, Tailya figured she’d just take it. He could consider it a present to cover all the special occasions she wasn’t going to be around for in the future and the presents she’d miss out for them.

So Tailya left with a small pack of necessities, the clothes upon her back, her newly claimed warhammer and a smile.

She spent a good coupla months putting as much distance between herself and the rest of her kith and kin and now she’s just off enjoying the world where ever it chooses to take her.

Skills:
Tailya as well, supposedly a wilderness sort of survivor species sort of thing.. has the appropriate skills to go with this.

So Tailya has Basic Survival Skills : - Throw her in your average forest and she’ll survive. She can find water, food, make shelter, fire, etc. Of course, she wont thrive, but she’ll survive.

Basic Hunting Skills.
No self respecting Highlander is gonna –not be able to kill things or track down prey. And as Tailya respects herself quite highlyshe can track, trap and kill your typical hunting game. She can even track some of your more intelligent creatures and take them down with what’s around her also. Go onto something that can cover it’s tracks, well, Tailya simply can’t be bothered and she’ll give up, saying it’s too much of a hassle. Pestering just means you have to do it instead.

Basic Bludgeoning Skills
Tailya’s good at picking random objects and using them to bludgeon things! This is her preferable fighting style and works quite well considering she now has a war hammer to bash others with. There’s really no more skill here than swinging at the general targeted area and assuming it’ll hit. Admittedly she hits most quite well, she’s that bit faster than a human and the Warhammer has a good surface area to hit with

Better than Man
Well, she’s part wolf isn she? So her sense of smell, hearing, strength and speed are just that bit better. Nothing spectacular really, and she’s not built up the endurance to make either strength or speed count to make her any better than a well trained warrior in either respect. 1.5x for all aspects over your average human.

Equipment:
Tailya’s belongings consist of a small pack with typical camping and survival gear, nothing special in there and her ‘magical’ silver warhammer.

The Warhammer
The warhammer itself appears to be more of a ceremonial sort of weapon as opposed to something used in active battle. Mostly due to the highly detailed carvings over the entire thing and the silver overlay that the carving’s themselves are worked into. There’s a couple of jewels embedded within the handle as well, nothing bigger than a fingernail, all red and all buried into the metalwork to the point that you’d have to break the thing to get them out. Really, it’s just not worth it.

As to the ‘magical’ aspects of the warhammer. There’s the seeming weightlessness of the thing when picked up by the handle and then the fact it just wont accept dirt. Then, well, it gives off a faint aura, one of age and the blood of kings. Probably something to do with the bloodstain that wont wash off.

Past being pretty, lightweight (only when picked up by the handle, pick it up the wrong way and you’ve the full weight of the thing on your hands) and unable to be made dirty, the thing doesn’t seem to have any more power. Well okay.. as well as not being able to stay dirty with normal blood and grime, it seems to repair itself of nicks and scrapes given a few days or weeks. Wether it’d recover from anything worse.. well, that’s something that’d probably takes months going onto years and only if it’s kept relatively together so it can repair itself.
Despite the silver gilding, it is a full functioning warhammer, it’s just as strong as your typical steel weapon of the same size and strength even if the weightless magic and the pretty carvings give the impression it’d fall apart upon hitting a stack of cards.

Tailya will not leave behind, give up, trade or even loan someone her Warhammer. It is hers and hers alone and fair on the only thing she currently cares about past her own hide. You will be beaten bloody for touching it.

Looks good Tailya, approved! Welcome!

Now that you're approved, you may role-play anywhere on the forum you like. I would greatly recommend spending your 300 GP at The Bazaar as quickly as possible - if you don't use it within a month of your registration then it will expire. Also, Althanas has two optional forums for new characters to begin their role-playing in: The Peaceful Promenade is a tavern where you may introduce yourself to other players in-character, and Scara Brae is a forum exclusively for role-playing with other new characters. Enjoy!
