Veroy

( I hope this will do... I'm looking to save much of the details for his first solo quest)
Name: Veroy Detrator
Age: 50
Race: Human
Height/Weight: 5'10"/175 lbs.
Hair Color: Grey
Eye Color: Dark Brown
Skin Color: Tan
Background:
A gruff aging man, Veroy's constant frown has caused his leathery, tan skin to wrinkle in such a way that nothing but a stern look may be produced. When he smiles it bears sinister air. Veroy is an intelligent human with a rather cynical outlook, considering himself a realist amongst those who lose themselves in fantasies. He finds himself much more comfortable studying alone and undisturbed, quenching his thirst for knowledge than dealing with others as he quickly becomes impatient. Veroy is a wizard, and as a profession works at the Atrian Magical Academy, which falls under rule of the Eldrius - the high council of elder wizards. The Eldrius are a group of powerful and wise wizards who guide the people of Atrius who place their respect and faith in them. Veroy has been a magical professor for nearly all his life and grows tired of teaching immature minds upon which he often feels his wisdom is wasted. Veroy has high hopes of being admitted into the Eldrius, which he feels he has long deserved considering his contribution to the academy.
Ability:
Veroy is intelligent, however he is of average skill in wizardry. His strengths thus lie in his cunning and wit, less in his magical ability. Veroy does however possess a vast vault of knowledge regarding magic and magical history having spent many hours alone in his study at the academy while not teaching. Perhaps as a result of his lack of skill, he is drawn to power. He has focused much research in pyromancy, influenced by his late father who had a small obsession in the art and was indeed quite accomplished. Veroy however has been unable thus far to tap into his father's genes and remains a novice in the practice. He is able to manipulate fire with concentration though unable to produce it at his current level of skill.
Equipment
Veroy wears long, blue robes, with a mystical contrast from light around the shoulders to dark near the feet. Golden colored thread traces the edges and sleeves of the robes with flecks of silver from the waist down resembling stars in a night sky. These robes are his proper uniform for the academy as proper appearance is important to uphold the academy's name. Veroy channels his magic through his own wooden staff. It reaches up to his shoulders and is of gnarled, old wood which twists upwards from a tapered bottom, culminating in a round bulb at the top.
Residence:
Veroy resides in the city of Atrius, in a remote location in the land of Raiaera. It is beautiful town surrounded by walls for protection. Within are cobblestone streets filled with houses, shops, stables and pubs. The most brilliant attraction in the town is the Atrian Academy of Magic. It is a tall tower with a courtyard and a few small buildings at its base. Veroy, as a professor in the Academy has been granted a personal room within he resides. His room contains a bed and a desk along with a small personal library of magical lore. Pieces of parchment litter the desk so that the surface is not visible.
