Materials question.

Okay, so, I was reading the 'special materials' section.

I was curious on the properties of Gorian'fel Hide.

Now. This hide is supposed to be able to block telekinetic invasion and the like.

It's available on the black market apparently...

What I want to know is:

- How well does it embue with enchantments?
- Would a simple necklace of pure hide be enough to block mental invasion/tracking of the wearer?
- What sort of price would I be looking at for enough to have a necklace made if the above is approperiate?
- If unavailable, is there anyone willing to go on a quest with me to acchieve some?
- Who would I be best speaking to for information IC on the material?
- Who would I buy it from?
- Would the material effect none telekinetic magic at all?

I can answer some of these...

- How well does it embue with enchantments?

Not sure about this one. I don't really see why you would need to embue it though. It is very powerful, so just adding a patch of it on to a tunic would be sufficient for what you need.

Yes. Keep in mind it would also block your magical mental abilities.

You can't really buy it. You have to quest for it.

Probably. I might be interested.

IC, I'm not sure. Since Gorian'fel are present in Concordia and I believe no where else, you'd need to talk to someone ihn Corone. If you mean who knows a lot about the Gorian'fel, I would suggest Ithermoss or perhaps Sighter.

- Who would I buy it from?

Nobody. Unless another PC wants to sell it.

It would effect your telekinetic magic.

Well! It says on the description of it that it could be bought in the black market.

Anyways, few questions still remain:

I'm fine as my character doesn't use telekinetic spells, he spell-crafts instead. ^_^

I'll try to answer these.

- How well does it enchant?

If you mean how well does it protect you from telekinesis/telepathy, it's an almost absolute defense. If you're asking how well can you enchant it with something else, I guess as well as you any average material since nothing is specified in the description. Keep in mind it would be rather hard to come out of a quest with a Gonan'fel Hide, let alone an enchanted one.

- What sort of price on Black Market? (Even if such is to be bought on a quest - Better an admin answer this.)

Black Market was a concept that never really took root. Once upon a time we meant to make it a place just like the Bazaar, but it didn't work so we got rid of it. So you have to quest for it. ICly, a Black Market can be whatever you want it to be. If details aren't set in stone (which they aren't in this case), be creative.

None that I know of. Which meant you can establish your own.

Just a note - I wasn't planning on going for it, enchanted, I was just wondering the margin I have for improvement on it!
