This is the discussion thread for the quest I recruited for here. (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?p=77236#post77236)

Please do not post here unless you are involved in the quest.

The final roster for this quest:

Kidnappers:
Twyla (Nymph and Dragon)
Damian Delta (Damian)

Kidnapee:
Slave (me, Beauty)
Various NPCs that are up to the kidnappers

Rescuers:
Corvus MacCallum and 3 men sent by Slave's owner to bring her back (and any other NPCs he wishes to create for this)

My only real question to start this off is, where do we want to do this? Slaves from Akashima are supposed to be even better, so we can do this there if you guys want. Given the nature of Slave's owner, he can literally be anywhere on Althanas for this.

Let's get some of these basic things set, and then I can get a starter post up.

Also, one of the kidnappers (doesn't matter who) needs to go the Syndicate Recruitment Center and claim this quest. The barkeep will give you any other info that you need.

one question...are we assuming that Twyla and myself have already captured 11 slaves and are trying to capture beauty for number 12 or do we also have to write out our capture of the other 11

Heck Slave could be your first, opportunistic target with Carths visit to an isolated area.

I would rather do all twelve, myself. We could work on Beauty first, or we could even have Beauty be a failed attempt that we have to go back for.

she could be any number of the 12...tis up to you guys.

Slave won't be difficult to catch. She's very gullible and typically only has one guard as Carth is typically more interested in his ladyfriend than Slave's safety/whereabouts so long as the tasks he's asked of her get done.

EDIT: and just to let you guys know....i'm gonna move my last post to be the 4th post instead of 3rd. I hate random posting orders, so i'd like to keep things in pretty much the same order as we started. k? thanks! ^_^

And, Beauty, how often does Slave have a soldier following her around or in her presence? And what level of protection will he be providing for us kidnappers, if we end up having to fight him?

Halding will likely be close at most times, but as he wants her to develop her own will and personality and such, he isn't going to hover over her. He's only one guy though, so it would not be hard to outmaneuver him.

By the way been pondering on the equipment and talent of Haldings men, would make sense after Home Again they'd be doing their best to elevate themselves above grunts.

I have not been able to get in touch with Damian whatsoever, thus I will bunny him out in my next post. In the meantime, Nymph, you're up next. If he comes back before we finish and still wants to join, we'll try and figure out a way to work him back in to the story. For now, I would suggest NPCs for the other slavers to help keep the captives together. I can control one such NPC, unless you want to do so yourself, Nymph.

I'm going to cry big salty tears of disappointment if another thread dies on my post. I swear I'm cursed. It's like my writing has cancer or herpes or something and nobody can stand to post after me for fear of catching it. *sigh* I probably should have warned you all about my Touch of Death ability.

No crying! Tisn't your fault! Corvus has told me that he lost interest in this, so if your still up for it, then we can either bunny Corvus out or just start over fresh. Sorry I've been silent for so long...the last month was really busy and tiring for me. I got hardly anything done RP-wise. -_-

EDIT: Having checked the thread and seeing that Corvus had not interacted with anyone yet, my vote is for continuing on without him.

And Corvus, if you've changed your mind and suddenly gained inspiration/interest, you need to let me know pronto.

I didn't lose interest, I just told you I wanted my turn skipped. Why do both of you oppose that simple notion?

You told me in IM that you'd lost interest. And I explained in the same conversation why I didn't want to skip people, but I will repeat it here: I don't like to skip people because I don't like to mess up the posting order.

I see no reason whatsoever to skip your turn.
