Dr. Gracein's Terrible Mansion

Hello folks!

This is an idea I've been working on for a little while now; just saving it for a rainy day. I'm looking for Four other players for this event, so please post in this thread if you're interested!

For reasons hardly known to us, we find ourselves alone in the pits of Dr. Gracein's large and scary mansion. We start off on our own, and slowly we join up with one another in hopes of surviving the next onslaught of traps and beasts and all kinds of other crazy things! The basement is a series of mazes and challenges that must be conquered in order to progress to the next stage, and eventually, freedom. The traps and challenges will all be up to our own imaginations, and as we meet and team up we can all brainstorm more elaborate challenges. Pretty much, anything goes!

Posting order will be an important factor in this thread. Our posts may have to be a little longer or shorter than usual, just so individual/team events are either wrapped up or left at an appropriate break point (Cliff-hangers are welcome) so that the reader can progress onto the next team's event. Once the thread has been started there will be a discussion thread as well were we can post our thoughts and plans and the like!

Also, another important factor for this would be your participation. Please don't sign up for this unless you would like to see it through to the end. I very much understand delays, dilemmas, and such... so if you'll need to take a little time away just let the rest of us know, but I'd really like to see this quest completed!

For simplicity's sake, we'll just leave this thread open as a discussion thread. I was thinking we'd all start off on our own, face our first challenge solo, then meet up with another character (or, since there's an odd number meet up with two characters or stay solo a little longer) but I think it would be fun to have seperate teams for a little ways into the quest. What do you guys think?

I agree it'd be neat to have multiple sides of the story happening. Plus we could probably play so we end up being scared of each other-- a kind of "holy crap we're not the only ones in here" type thing.

To secure a decent continuity score, it might be a good idea for everyone to make some reference to how they ended up in the mansion. Like if the last thing you remember is walking out of an inn and getting hit up the backside of the head. (I'm assuming Dr. Gracein has kidnapped us all in one way or another)

I have no problems with continuity, this won't involve any PvP will it though? It's the only thing I don't want to do with this character, otherwise, I'm all for it.

Yeah, that would work well for continuity! Somehow or another we all end up in his basement, either kidnapped, or drugged, or he asked if we could take a look at his sub-pump then locked us in while claiming to be going to get some lemonade...

Oh, and don't worry. We don't have to do PvP. If a couple people would like to start off in a tussle, that's fine, but remember to truce it out in for end.

so let me get this striaght...doc ock goes ahead kidnaps each one of us and sets up someplace inside his mansion...and each one of us has seperate traps/mazes/puzzles to solve in order to escape from said mansion...and it is up to us if we want to meet up with the other characters stuck in the mansion

A little longer into it and we can start storming ideas for meetings and our desired paths.
