Background
For years, the nomadic group known as the Bandit Brotherhood traveled the vast wilderness of Althanas, claiming what they saw fit, living as they pleased, and fighting for what they believed in: Freedom. The men and women of this group were all united by the belief in choice, and though often seen as rebellious, dirty scoundrels, the Bandits were more of a caring, strong family than anything.

When their numbers grew into the hundreds, it was decided by the leaders of the Brotherhood that a permanent home was needed. It wasn't until the group traveled into the vast forest of Concordia that they decided on the location of their new home. And so it was. The Bandit Brotherhood became a force to be reckoned with when wandering the woods. They took what they needed or wanted, always giving back to the forest, and vigorously protected the land they prowled.

When the plague of the Mindless swept over the Concordian forest, the Bandit Brotherhood was the first to step up and battle the monsters bent on stealing the free will from every living thing's soul. The harsh trials and skirmishes between the two groups raged on for many months, with every attempt to end the war failing worse than the last. When the bandits asked for aid from Corone, they were ignored by the ignorant politicians and rulers. It took the will of the young Yari Rafanas, the newest leader of the Bandit Brotherhood, to unite Concordia and lead the forest to victory against these disgusting, soulless creatures.

After the victory and during his last moments of life, Rafanas passed leadership to the famous thief, Gild Sorrain. This marked the end of the Bandit Brotherhood and their home in Concordia. Under the new guidance, the group was lead away from the woods, to a magical island sanctuary, where they abandoned the old ways and became the Brotherhood.

Years later, with the Brotherhood seemingly falling apart, the heroic bandit Yari Rafanas reappeared in the world of Althanas, bringing with him the desire to rebuild the Bandit Brotherhood.

The old ways would return.
