((A level for the ages! Now with more detailed appearance, personality, AND background! Warning: Abundance of commas ahead...))

Name: Banda Utako ; Banda "Nimbus" Utako
Age: 21
Race: Human
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Dark Brown
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 156 Lbs.
Occupation: Mercenary

Personality: Banda is a kind-hearted soul despite his serious appearance at first glance. He's a mellow person, with a rather short temper, that sometimes gets the better of him. He's a courageous man, but has enough sense in his mind to run when necessary. Amongst strangers, Banda is a little cautious but becomes friedlier towards a person after spending a short while with them. He is cunning, and knows how to lie very well, but hardly puts this to use as he prefers to use honesty. Banda is a fierce warrior on the battlefield, but considers peace an easier solution after working with The House of Sora and seeing their methods at work. Before, Banda took any job offered to him, but he soon found it impossible to commit evil, and malicious acts, and become an enemy of such acts, and the ones who commit them.

Appearance: Banda has light tan skin, black messy hair, and dark brown eyes. He wears a necklace around his neck, and a red bandana on his head, the bandana is folded into a triangle, tied to the back of his head with both ends, and the remainder of the bandana tucked and pulled under the knot. Banda traded in his old clothes for new ones, and now has a new outfit of sorts. He now wears a black t-shirt under a grey short jacket with no sleeves that ends at the bottom of his rib cage, and a pair of black jeans. He also wears a grey pair of boots. His sword's sheath is tied onto his back, and his boomerang's sling is around his waist like that of a belt. Banda's shield is attached betwen his back, and his swords sheath. Attached to his boomerang sling, Banda has the long silver chain of the House of Sora, wrapped in a coil.

History: Banda's story begins in a small house somewhere in the Concordia Forest. As a child, his father abused him, his brother Iraku, and his mother. This was a recurring thing until Banda became twelve years of age. One faithful night, his father took things too far, and gouged his mother with a kitchen knife. Banda's brother threw himself at his father, hoping to stop the nonsense, but was thrown into a nearby closet in their home. Banda sat on the floor, frozen in fear, and shock. His father raised the knife high in the air, and just as it descended towards his mother's neck, Iraku burst from the closet holding his father's blade in his right hand. With abnormal speed, and strength, Iraku knocked the kitchen knife out of his father's hands, the blade landing at Banda's feet, and ended his father's terrorizing with one fell swing of the sword, the metal humming as it cut through the air. Banda kicked the knife away from him, not wanting to so much as touch the vile thing. His mother called to the two boys, and together they left their home, in hope of starting anew.

If only it were to be that way, they made it halfway out of the forest when the mother fell to the ground, the loss of blood finally giving her a slow death. Banda watched his mother die, and did not move away from her side. After an hour of grieving, his brother grabbed him by the shoulders, and the expressionless, cold stare calmed Banda down. They cotinued out of the forest,. When they finally left Concordia, the two were weary from grief, and lack of energy, and so they rested for the night.

Banda awoke the next morning alone, his brother and his father's sword gone, he thought of himself as the last remaining family member. Hardened by his losses, sorrow, and hatred for his father at this point, Banda was clueless as to what to do at the time. He decided to travel to the coast line, where Scara Brae could be seen along the horizon. He reached the beach by the end of the day, never stopping along the way. He rested on the soft sandy beach, simply exhausted from the travelling, and the events that had just happened in his life.

A ferryman found Banda as he returned to the Coronian shore. Being the nice man that he was, he carried Banda into the ferry and traveled to Scara Brae. When Banda awoke, he was given some food and water, and without any direction as to what to do with his life, he stayed with the ferryman, and volunteered to help him with the ferrying. After a solid week, Banda met a soldier in the Scara Brae military, and followed him into the barracks. He spoke to the commanding officer there. He was successfully allowed to train under the commander, lying about his age in order to gain admittion, fascinated with the life of a soldier. At the age of sixteen, Banda completed his training, and was allowed to particpate in battles. Two years later, he had many battles under his belt and was popular among the soldiers. Despite the fame, he resigned from the military, tired of the repetitive and dull life style, and became a traveler.

He made his money by carving small wooden objects, seeing Althanas in all its beauty. After three years of traveling, Banda encountered a pack of wolves, he managed to defeat a few, but could not defeat them all. A mercenary heard his screams of help, and jumped into the fray, slaying the pack very quickly, this inspired Banda to become a mercenary. Without much hesistation, Banda polished his old sword, and carved a boomerang with his wood carving skills. He adorned his bandana, and since that day, his life has been full of adventures, surprises, and unworldly experiences.

Banda joined the Grander's Order, and was given a mission shortly after. He ventured to Alerar, where he met Sarah Dahlios, Zerith Dracosius, and Oran Tellios, fellow members of the GO. The objective of their mission was to somehow acquire a farmhand from the nearby stables to join the Order, whilst avoiding being seen by the guards, or getting caught. During the entire fiasco, Banda and Zerith had to battle a group of the stables guards, a high-ranking official in the midst as well. They defeated the men with ease, and took their horses, Banda claiming one for himself, and naming it Streak. He found a few things in the saddlebag, including a necklace, and a sapphire ring which he eventually sold later on. They had completed their mission in the end, and successfully handed her over to the GO.

Banda then ventured to the Citadel for the first time, his first opponent being a silvet female naed Kaiserin Nightwind. The two fought with agility, and strength but the silvet won in the end, slicing Banda into two halves. The two became rivals, and friends of sorts. Banda lost contact with the silvet shortly thereafter.

After wandering for several weeks, he traveled to the Citadel again. His ally, Canen Darkflight, had entered a three versus two match, Banda being his teammate. The mercenary was too slow however, and the nocturn lost the Citadel match.

Angry at himself for being unable to help his friend, and for losing his second Citadel match, Banda journeyed into the forests of Scara Brae, training himself and honeing his skils. While doing so, he met a half-elf in the forest, her name was Shenjara, a mage with a knack for fire magic. He escorted Shenjara through the forest, and protected her from both natural, and unnatural dangers in the forest. During a skirmish though, the half-elf fired a misdirected spell, and set the forest ablaze. Banda managed to escape the fire, carrying Shenjara out of the forest as well. The half-elf hadbecome unconscious, and so Banda left a small note for her when she awoke, hoping to keep in contact with her.

After a long hiatus of neither working nor travelling, Banda ventured yet again to The Citadel, in hopes of redeeming himself. He entered a match, his opponent was Amaril Torrun, a half-dragon mercenary with a vicious arsenal of weapons. Banda fought against flying daggers, sharp claws, a massive tail, and a rather large ice dart. Eventually, his opponent had lost, blood pouring from the several wounds in his body, and Banda won his first Citadel Match.

Upon leaving the Citadel, Banda was greeted by a messenger with a letter. A scholar by the name of Demetri Cornelius needed his assistance and requested that Banda travel to Dheathain for details. He met Demetri in a tavern in Dheathain, and surprisingly met Amaril again. Demetri explained to the two his need of assistance. Cigam, a great sorceror, had broke into Demetri's study one night, seeking the Pool of Saffron, a magical artifact known to show the user how to accomplish his largest goal. Demetri explained that if Cigam were to acquire the object, the world could be in danger. Banda and Amaril joined Demetri in the journey to Saffron's Lair, where the artifact was said to be. It took three long days, but the three made it to the Lair. Shortly after, Cigam and his cronies arrived. Banda wasted no time in searching for the artifact, he found easily, held in the hand of the great dragon Saffron. The dragon was already dead, Banda grabbed the Pool of Saffron from Saffron's hand. Almost immediately, Banda felt as if he was being pulled through the Pool of Saffron. He was taken to a white abyss, and before him stood the great mighty dragon Saffron. The dragon told Banda how he died, and what The Pool of Saffron really did. A severation between Banda and the Pool of Saffron occured, as one of Cigam's cronies, a minotaur named Lomard. The magical waters stored inside the pool spilled over Banda, and Lomard. Banda obtained a large headache, and the magical waters freed Lomard from Cigam's mind control magics. With Lomard at their side, they defeated Cigam, ending his journey to cause malicious deeds across the world. Lomard decided to stay behind and protect the Pool of Saffron for a short while, and Demetri made the decision to join Banda in his travels for a short time.

The mercenary then traveled back to Dheathain, where one again he was greeted by a messenger with a letter. The House of Sora needed Banda's assistance in the capital of Alerar; Ettermire. His mission was to find an engineer, and to be his servant for a full day in exchange for joining The House of Sora. He met Koronato Molotai, a genius engineering prodigy at the age of sixteen. Banda succeeded in persuading the engineer to take up his offer. Eventually, Banda saves Koronato's life, killing a man after the engineer for a debt not paid. The engineer gladly agrees to join The House of Sora after this. Demetri also decides to join The House of Sora, and accompanies Koronato on the airship that takes the two to The House's base of operations.

Soon after, Banda entered the Gisela Open on behalf of The House of Sora, in hopes of winning the grand prize of an official clan headquarters. He was accompanied by Koronato, Demetri, and Enetrad, an old friend from Banda's time in the army. He appoints them as his generals, and the numbers they bring with them are outstanding. Disappointingly though, Banda lost in the first round, allowing another army to claim victory as he held his position, preparing for an attack.

Weapons:

Claymore (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=7377): Made of reinforced steel, this claymore blade is polished and rather new. It has no special enhancements or enchantments whatsoever. The hilt of this blade is wrapped and sealed in a red cloth.

Boomerang: A boomerang carved by Banda himself. It is made from an oak tree, and Banda has sharpened it a bit. Has no enhancements, or enchantments.

Abilities/Skills:

Sly Striker: By using meditation, Banda has trained this skill. The Sly Striker ability allows the user to gain a burst of speed in his attacks. To the naked eye, it seems as if the user is a blur. To the user, the world around him slows down, but allowing him to move freely and normally without any reduced speed. Banda has trained this ability over time, and because of his effort, he can now use the ability more frequently without tiring himself. ((Four times per quest/battle))

First-Aid: Despite it's name, this is actually considered a spell as Banda claims to activate its powers with magic. This spell allows Banda to heal at least an inch and a half deep wound. If the wound is too large, Banda can only heal an inch worth of it. Because of more hectic pace of battling, Banda cannot use this ability as frequently as he can outside of battles. ((Useable twice per quest/ Once per battle.))

Mind-Touch: When he came into contact with the magical waters of the Pool of Saffron, Banda acquired a new ability. When a person is asleep, or unconscious, Banda search into their minds, and see their dreams, and their memories. This does not work with a strong minded person, and can only be used once a day. ((ICly.)) Banda does not yet know of this ability.

Items:

House of Sora Heirloom (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=5761): An heirloom given to all members of the House of Sora upon joining. It is silver, and easily enchantable. Banda has not enchanted it however, and has it attached onto his boomerang sling, wrapped in a coil. The chain is twenty-five feet long. It has only one feature on it, a silver depiction of the solar eclipse, and a shield shaped pendant on the end.

Dragon Figurine (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=5647&page=3): A small golden dragon figurine worth about 75 gold. Banda acquired this during his journey to Saffron's Lair.

Streak the Horse (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=902&page=5): Banda obtained this horse during his mission for the GO to Alerar. He has named the horse Streak. The horse has brown skin, with a black mane going down the tip of his head to his shoulders. Banda usually has Streak stored in some nearby stable, but there are occasions when Banda decides to go for a ride.

Necklace (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=902&page=5): A necklace with a shark pendant on it, Banda wears it around his neck.

Book of Skills (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=5881): A magical book of swordsman techniques. The book only shows its pages to the reader when he/she is ready. As of now, the book has only revealed the first few pages, which show nothing but basic sword fighting manuevers.

A question. Why did you put up two identical level 1 threads?

Finished and ready for approval!

Sorry about the double thread again, my internet connection lagged and double posted.

I need links to the new items you acquired.

Also, I'm not comfortable with the description of the Mind Touch. There are people at lower levels who are strong minded and those on higher levels who are possibly not. Just leave out the level requirement (leaving it at the fact that strong minded people can resist it) and you'll be good to go.
