Not-so-blind leading the blind...

I am currently looking for someone who would be willing to work with a blind girl by means of helping her find her way around Corone and Althanas in general. There will be lies, deceit, surprise guests, and darkly psychotic goodness. Did I mention she's a helpless blind?

You, the volunteer, will (hopefully) be helping the afflicted woman with a few more advanced methods of living while blind including: a small sparring match, environmental analysis via sound, discerning distances through hearing, and the like.

The main direction of the thread will be introducing an outsider who has no idea where she is to the city and possibly to some of the outlying regions.

When the thread reaches its conclusion, you will have a(n eventually) powerful ally... if she takes a liking to you.

I know I'm new, and I know my character might not be the most eligible person for the job, but I'm dying for a good thread. If Viola is truly helpless in Coroné, the island's Armed Forces could be persuaded to help her get around and acquainted. Normally, that might not be a job for an overzealous policeman, but if it'd be some form of punishment for messing up an important job, Halon would definitely have reason to do his best to guide Viola as much as he can - even though he might not (initially) like it. As far as those advanced methods of living blind go, he's got enough military experience beneath his belt.

But I'm getting ahead of myself. Would there be a chance of things working out the way I'm thinking? I won't mind if you want someone entirely different. :)

Halon, if you have another character/account with actual writing, I would like to read some of your stuff. I like the prospect of either character joining, but right now, quality of writing is going to be the deciding factor... unless you both want to join. It'll be interesting with two others in this situation, but as long as you don't mind working with each other, I'm sure I could make it work.

It'll be interesting managing four people at once with my ideas; I may just have to expand on the whole small thread I was planning and go full-out into the second quest I was holding back on. That is, if you're all still interested.

I really wouldn't mind having a bigger thread, but I'll have to agree with dipwood. I, too, would like to know some of the specifics so I can prepare some sort of backstory in case it doesn't perfectly fit Halon's character. :)

I'd like to help out if you need a cameo character to provide some sort of obstruction. I always liked the idea of using PC cameos as opposed to relying solely on NPCs for resistance.

Some of the more specifics for the expanded thread are as follows:

My character, Viola, has been gathering information for a while now on a method of returning her sight. What she has found out amounts to one particular enchanter has the ability to perform the spell, but he requires certain ingredients to do so. This quest will start, for lack of a better method, by Viola tricking a few people into coming with her.

It may sound like a simple fetch quest, but when the ingredients are rare and protected (I'd have to know what you have in mind as opposition, shadar) and there is someone who wishes to do more than simply oppose Viola's plans... it's going to be quite the journey.

If you need NPC monster opposition, I've got more monsters created than you can shake a stick at. As well I could easily cobble together creatures stemming from a mishmash of mythologies and religions. A Minotaur Sphinx, hmm...

I'm confused now. How could you have nothing to post? Unless I didn't give you enough to go from, but even then, I already started walking out of the bar. You could react to her actions as she examined you; you could say what you were thinking when the waitress got your attention.

As in, the post I would post is not a post but a ghost of a post which is the most I could host without clearing up something that has been troubling me elsewhere and keeping me distracted, even more so than usual.

Perhaps in a bit I can post a real post after I take care of a few problems.
