I apologize for this somewhat trivial mid-level update, but I feel it needs to be done in order to open up my storylines a bit more. Updates are nah.

Name: Elijah Morendale
Age: 21
Race: Human
Hair Color: "Anime black", as he calls it (due to a freak hair dye accident, his hair appears black, but has a blue tint when seen in the light)
Eye Color: Blue
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 145 lbs.
Occupation: Adventurer, Icecraft apprentice

Personality: He appears shy and anti-social at first glance, but after a while he becomes more outgoing. Also can be very sarcastic and quick-witted at times. Tends to be overly naive, acting on the slightest whims and never taking any situation he's thrust into seriously. Due to the loneliness he has endured on his travels, he has developed a sort of imaginary friend/split personality disorder. This entity, which he knows as Nadia, is overly loud, brash, reckless, masochistic, childish, and terribly violent.

Appearance: Wears a denim jacket and a black shirt that covers his armor, blue jeans, and a well-worn pair of black hi-tops. His hair is usually a shaggy mess, and he also wears a pair of glasses.

History:

As a child, Elijah Morendale was bounced around between his parents and his aunts and uncles. Nobody in his family cared to deal with him, they were interested in their own self-centered worries and cares. At the age of 11 and after many lies, abandonments, and betrayals, Elijah ran away. He wandered the frozen lands of Salvar until he passed out from exhaustion and hunger.

A week later, he awoke in an unnamed settlement of Salvar natives who were displaced by the many wars that had taken place in their land. Over time, Elijah began to trust these kind strangers, who accepted him as one of their own.

During those days, he was a carefree soul. At the age of 14, he took an interest in Icecraft after watching the resident master, Gilliam Ornost, killing time by creating beautiful weapons made of ice. After several months of nagging, Gilliam took Elijah in as his apprentice, despite the fact that his new student wasn't dedicated enough in his eyes to learning the magical craft.

One day, at the age of 18, Elijah and one of his friends were playing a game of chess using a board and pieces he crafted using his abilities, he expressed his boredom with life in the settlement. His friend half-jokingly suggested that Elijah leave the settlement in search of adventure. Completely missing the sarcasm, Elijah began filling his mind with the delusions of making a living out of traveling throughout the world, and before anyone could convince him otherwise, he left the settlement to begin the next stage of his life.

The first year and a half had been rather uneventful and disappointing. Then Elijah arrived in Scara Brae, and almost immediately he had a misunderstanding and an exchange of blows with an elven blood mage. Soon after escaping death, he was tricked into completing a drug run with a navigator named Raziel. After selling off the drugs from that job himself, he decided it was time to pay a visit to Corone.

Skills:

Icecraft: Several years ago, Elijah began to learn the art of manipulating the moisture in the air to create ice. His skills are marginally above average, despite slacking in his practice. This ability is based on two things: The amount of moisture in the air, and his physical condition. At optimal atmospheric and physical conditions, he can produce nine pounds of ice before "feeling it". Currently, his favorite creation is an ice dagger, slightly weaker than steel but just as sharp with an 8" long blade, which he can craft in four seconds on average.

Resistance to cold: As an added bonus to his Icecraft apprenticeship, over time he became resistant to colder temperatures.

Dagger wielding: Elijah's weapon of choice is the dagger, which he has been training with since the age of 12. He's become relatively adept with it, but because he's self-taught, his technique is unpredictable and shoddy, and isn't very good defensively. However, because of some recent scuffles in the Citadel and in Scara Brae, he has learned at thing or two about defending himself, and can parry the occasional blow.

"The voice... She makes me do things...": Every once in a while, Nadia will "take over", effectively causing a personality switch. As such, his actions will become far more erratic and violent, with a psychotic smile--"her smile", as he would call it--plastered on his face. Also, due to the darker nature of this particular personality, his strength and speed will be 1.2 times that of what it normally is. Due to Elijah accepting Nadia as a part of himself, she can take over for longer periods of time. As of right now, she can be in charge for up to an hour at a time, with three times the amount of time in control as a "recovery time". The downside is, once he switches back over to being good ol' Elijah, he has a memory lapse and can't remember anything that happened when Nadia was "in control".

"Hey, you! Get back here with my bread!": As a young'un, Elijah and the friends he made in the unnamed settlement passed some of the time by stealing from a local baker. As the time went on, he became more athletic, more nimble, and can currently run about 10-12 miles approximately 15 mph before becoming exhausted. Also, being quick on the feet, he can dodge some melee attacks if the attacker is slow enough.

Equipment: For a primary weapon, Elijah carries a 8" damascus dirk that he keeps hidden in a sheathe inside his jacket. For armor, he has a light chain mail vest that he wears underneath his shirt, and a thin layer of cloth underneath that so his armor doesn't pinch him. On his belt he carries two healing potions. They're useful to heal minor cuts, gashes, and burns, but that's about it. In his right shoe, there is a 3" long iron blade that is released when he puts pressure of any kind on the shoe's insole. The blade swings out the toe of the shoe, and remains there until he slides it back in. He also has a 27" steel katana strapped to his back, but it's there solely for Nadia to use whenever she's "in charge".

The katana was purchased here, (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=6810) While I picked up the damascus dirk here. (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=7733)

Swords(wo)manship: Months have passed since Elijah purchased the sword at Nadia's request. She has spent most of her time in his dreams practicing with the weapon, and has developed a rather unruly style; one of completely unpredictable attacks. A true swordsman would say she had slightly below-average offensive skill. Her defensive skills still are under par, but she's slowly learning. However, Elijah himself is still incapable of properly wielding the katana, and refrains from doing so.

Approved, but remember that when you hit level two, you've already added in some stuff towards that.
