An unusual error has appeared on Althanas that is preventing users from using the word "lynx" in their posts. This affects all users and all threads. The problem only arises if the word lynx is immediately followed by a space, so words such as "lynxes" or if the word is surrounded by quotation marks or followed by punctuation, there is no effect. Similar words such as "mynx" are not affected, but any word that ends in lynx such as "flynx" is affected. I am not sure at this point if words other than lynx cause this problem.
If you want to use the word lynx in a post, you can get around this issue by following the word immediately with an opening tag and a closing tag, for example enter: "the lynx<b></b> pounced" replacing the <> with []. This will have no visual effect on your post and will allow you to use the word lynx.
I will provide updates on this issue as they arise. Please notify me immediately if you receive an error message which states that you do not have permission to access newthread.php or newpost.php. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
