I thought starting a thread for experiences of the 'special' type sounded like a good idea. Any who, old family stories, personal experiences of the odd and creepy type are wanted.
I'll go first.
The in-laws and one set of grandparents are due in for lunch this afternoon so I've been on full cleaning mode for about a day. For some reason I'm always paranoid about other people seeing my home in anything less than spotless. About a hour ago I decided it was a good idea to rearrange the cabinets and wipe down everything since I can't sleep.
I had just finished moving everything in the cabinets so everything was in its place and started in on scrubbing the stove. (I'm not sure if the little black spot is something I can take off or if I'm actually trying to make a chip in the paint larger.) I hadn't notice the back of my robe riding up while I was scrubbing.
I felt someone grab the back of my robe and tug it down. I spun around and slapped a hand to my back side and realized that the robe was high enough to show off my rump and kickers. Jason is at work and other than the cats I'm home alone so it was a little creepy. I guess what ever tugged on my robe wanted to preserve my dignity, I'd hate for anyone to see my lacy undergarments.

Can I see your lacy undergarments? ;)
Besides the fact that both my mom and I believe our house is haunted, I had a bit of a paranormal experience while I was on vacation. The castle I was volunteering at is apparently the most haunted castle in all of Ireland and paranormal investigators go there several times a year to try and catch said paranormal phenomena. Now, I happen to hunt ghosts myself here at home and I find paranormal stuff quite interesting, but I didn't jump to any conclusions with the castle. After all, I like experiencing or seeing something before I saw it's haunted.
Before I tell the story I want to give a quick layout of the castle. Volunteers sleep in the volunteer room, which is a fairly large room filled with beds and couches. It's right off of Harriett's (staircase on the second floor), the main staircase in the castle that goes from the first floor to the third floor. It's 200 years old and is rather noisy when you walk up and down it. Someone in the volunteers room would be able to hear you walking up from the bottom because the sound really carries.
That being said...
It was my second night sleeping in the castle and a group of the other volunteers and me had gone out for dinner and drinks. I went back to the castle early, around midnight, because I was feeling really tired. I went to bed sometime around 1am and was woken up at 4am by all the other volunteers coming in from drinking. After they settled down I laid in my bed unable to fall back to sleep. But there was this great urgency in the back of my mind telling me I had to fall asleep now! I couldn't figure out why and for the life of me I couldn't get back to sleep.
At almost precisely 5am--the hour I was dreading for some reason--I heard a voice echo up from the bottom of Harriett's staircase. My first thought was 'who was wandering around this early in the morning' and all the other volunteers were in the room passed out all around me. Only seconds after the voice stopped, I heard six or seven footsteps outside the volunteer room door. My heart did a bit of a speed up in my chest as the atmosphere in the room changed drastically. Whatever was outside that door did not like me in any kind of way and knew I was awake. I laid there for a bit wondering if I should wake up Sandra sleeping rather close to me, but I didn't want to move. Then this loud, guttural throat sound echoed throughout the room and my heart kid of died in my chest.
I froze and dared not to move hoping it would go away. It stayed there a while longer, shifting around in the flooroboard and oddly enough I heard the sound of dripping water. Then it was another few footsteps and whatever it was left. I could just feel it as much as hear it because the atmopshere changed back to normal.
It doesn't sound like much but it really had me scared when it was there. For some reason I got the feeling it couldn't come into the room, but if the door had been open I'd probably be telling a completely different story.
Oh where do I start I have so many of them.
I know, I'll start with the earliest I can remember, at least partially. remember, I was only like five at the time.
I do hearby swearupon the holiest and highest of authorities that the following is completly true and correct to the best of my memory.
When I was a wee lad of five, possibly six or seven, My grandparents surprised me with a trip to summer camp. It seemed exciting to me, and it was a place called Glacier View Ranch, it was in the Colorado Rockies, somewhere.
we had all the usual camp activities, one might expect, and since it was through the seventh day adventist church, we all had church on sunday. Each night as the sun set, we'd gather by the lake, the counslers would all be there, we'd all sing the usual camp songs, and a few hymns and generally, have a good time.
It was wensday, the sun had completly set the moon was out, and we were nearing the end of our sing-a-longs, getting ready to go back to our cabins and sleep.
Well, Something didn't feel right, it didn't feel wrong, but it didn't feel right. Something in the air was just, off. For some reason I have yet to fully grasp and understand, my attention was drawn out to the waters of the lake. Understand, were we were, was on a hillside overlooking the lake, which wasn't more than 10 feet away, and maybe 30 - 50 feet down a slope away. They had built a deck on the hill side that went out maybe 15 feet from the side of the hill.
So anyways, I look down at the water for some reason, and this bright white light shoots out of the water, and fills the entire area, and time itself just seems to halt. I look around, and everyone is frozen in place, in the middle of whatever they were doing, as though someone had just simply paused a movie. I was sacared, I didn't know what was going on, and I couldn't really see anything, because that white light filled everything.
Three Black shapes emerge from the light, I can't tell what they are, human? Who knows, certainly not me, well, maybe I do, maybe I know everything, but am simply just repressing most of the memory, but I digress.
I look at these black shapes, and I can somehow understand their looking at me, like I'm the sole purpose behind their visit. They seem concerned that I'm not like the others, that I'm not paused like everyone else.
"There he is!" I hear a male voice whisper from their direction.
At that point, it all just fades into blackness. Then when I come to, I'm sitting with everyone else, and the white is fading away, , and everyone's singing.
"Did you see that light?" I ask a camper sitting next to me.
"What light?" she asked.
I don't understand, I mean, that light was so bright, so incredibly bright. It banished the night itself. Who could've missed it? But all I had remembered at that point, was that there was a bright flash of white light, and even then, I wasn't entirly sure if it had happened. My head felt strange, as though all my thoughts were sealed away.
Then we broke up for the night, and for the rest of the trip, nothing else unusual happened.

Ok ive got one too
Well im slightly more sensitive to the darker side of life, and i like it that way. That being said, i love the woods behind my house. Their mad creepy. Normally its just little things, shadows a bit too damn dark and long for the afternoon, flashes of movement in the corners of your eyes, thoughts and memories randomly popping into your head, and the everpresent feeling that your not alone. And i like it that way.
Now a few weeks ago, my and a freind of mine go up into the woods because she lives in the city now and misses nature. Its probably relevant that she is majorly psychic. Not in a Sylvia Brown kind of way, as in she knows things about you youve never told anyone, has dreams of what will happen in a few days or a few years that almost always come true, and generally wierd things happen around her, especially when she's mad. I have similar but different strange things happen with me. So we go a little ways in, and stop and relax by the small creek there. It only takes a minute to realize that the feeling of being watched is there, and stronger than ever. Wierder still, we can pinpoint where its coming, the opposite bank of the stream. I go up our bank a ways, till i can see all of the other side, and theres noone there, but we can still feel it. I go back down to my freind to tell her noones there, but as i stark talking, we hear a man walking in the woods behind us. Turning around, we see hes far enough away and blocked by plants that we can only make out an outline. He called something out that neither of us could understand, then kept walking till he was out of sight. The feeling of being watched gets worse, then its not on the other bank anymore. Its coming from several spots on our left, and a much more malignant feeling to our right, from a deeply shadowed bend in the river. My freind looks down towards the shadows intently, the her eyes close and she slumps to the ground. I Immediatley feel the presences coming closer to us. She's in a sleep walker like state, so i have to half-push, half carry her out of the woods. Once we get past the egde and onto cultivated farmland, her eyes open and she looks at me strangely. I call her name, and shes just stares with a look of uncomprehension. I ask if shes all right, still no recognition. I get her to keep walking, wanting to put distance between us and the woods. About a minute later, she straightens up, and asks me what happened. I tell her, and she has no recollection of anything between looking at the shadowed area, and just now. We go back into my house, have some food and calm down. And nothing else unusual happened
I should say, ive been up there a few times since then and nothing has happened out side of the usual creepyness. Except for both times we were up there together since then, what has seemed like 20 minutes, turns out to be more than an hour.
We have our own theories on it, but as their based mostly of "intuition" and reasoning, ill keep them to ourselves.

Well, one experience of mine might not be creepy for others but sure freaked the hell out of me. Nothing big, its just me and an old friend of mine had the same dream at the exact same time, and we could communicate in it.Telepathy? I dunno. but it sure was weird...

There was a time when I studied the crap out of the paranormal...And one of the stings I studied where Elfs, Nomes, Tolls, Fairies and all that kind of good stuff. Well It's not near the cliche and traditional perspective of "Snowhite and the seven dwarfs" Usually when a person got tied to a nome this would become demanding and agressive. During this period there was a revolution on consumer goods in Mexico, Sambors sold elf dolls (those trademarked and who are acually attributed properties to) well ironically in my catholic school our group was really attracted to paranormal stuff... (I would probably have influenced that on them a little, anyhow) We went to this anual fair and got ourselves small more rustic Troll figurines, who's you where supposed to feed white wine and sunflower seeds. And since my mom had seen the news and the small documentary about people claiming that they elf figureens laughed-played and moved atnight when they pretened to be asleep, she precicely told me "I don't want you to buy anything like that" (she knowingly that her early paranormal curiosity that had resulted in disaster, that I had accuired) I hid the figure in one of my cavinets with some of my dad's alcohol and some sunflower seeds. The alcohol evaporated... strangely enough... since it was well hidden from the sun. I didnt really pay too much attention to it since I just attrivuted to some kind of weird alcohol property. Anywho
We had recently moved in our new house, an there as this broad room in frot of the hall that leaded straight to my door. so basically when you opened the room you would see... a big ampty room... and when you walked towars my door you would get goosebups. (at night ofcourse) Well there where sole windows in that one room where the dim light of the public electric poles passed through. Since the goosebumps had became unberable I decided to walk backwards to my room... Well guess what i saw... small tiny silouetthes running through the room is if following me through the long hall...
Trolls, sertainly did not do such a thing as to sneek on people like that. Trolls are supposed to be enemies of nomes by nature... They can kill eachother. Days after I had things "stolen" from my own room which i would later find under a couch in moving day.
That experience sertainly creeped me out... I did not seriously wanted to get myself stranded with a nome... I really should've tried that summoning prayer in the book that I had bought about the paranormal.
And I did as all normal person would do, I sprinkled my house with salt and drew a salt semi-cicle on my door step. Gradually strange things like chiming bells and malevolent little laughs disapeared... I got rid of the troll to.. I where to burry it with pleny sun flower seeds. I broke his nose to, as it said in the book that defacing a troll was the most clear indication of deeatatchment of self.
Hopefully nothing will come back to haunt me.

My nickers are for my hubby's eyes only, Witchy. :p Got another one for you guys, this one is several years old.
My mother and I lived with one of my mom's co-workers in this huge house. The house is only about 40 years old and as far as 'spooky houses' go thats not very old at all.
Both Tanya and mom work for the military so when I got back from school I was in the house alone. A couple of times when I was in the kitchen getting a snack I'd look up and see a man dressed in black pants and a red jacket walk from the far left in the living room to the right, towards the front door.
I'm a fairly aggressive person when I feel like my home is being invaded so I took off running after the guy. No one was in the entry way, I hadn't heard any door open or close in the house. The really odd thing was the guy had come in from by the back door which leads into the tiny back yard. The door was locked from the inside with no way to open it from the outside.
I think I chased the guy one or two more times before I gave up and just watched him walk by the opening to the dining room.

Thanks a lot for this thread MR. Now I'm going to have nightmares.
Once, I was playing in my front yard with a friend when I was pretty young (around middle school age). All of a sudden, a giant shadow covered the area where we were. We quickly noticed that it was in the shape of a giant bird. Actually, we "knew" that it was a terridactyl (misspelled) somehow. We looked up, but it wasn't there. Figuring that it flew away we went back to what we were doing, only to find that the shadow had returned. The second time it was just hovering there, beating its wings to stay in the air. We waited for about a good full 10 seconds and looked back up, but nothing was there yet again.
Once, during a music class, a teacher asked someone in my class to answer a question. He opened his mouth to answer, but this one girl's voice came out instead of his own.
Sorry if my paranormal isn't scary or anything. I'm sure I could remember some scarier stuff if I felt like it, but I'm going to bed soon and I'm the type of person that will think about every single scary movie, creature, entity, whatever... before going to bed.

This hapened to my grandpa a long time ago but I think its worthy of recount. Have you ever thought of witches being real? Well In Mexico there is this widespread phenomena about flying "fire balls" that people used to call witches, supposely the witch is inside it and it is not the human-like kind of witch rather some kind of weird entity. Sometimes their nature is agressive and it apears in isolated fields. When my grandpa was a young lad he used to work in the "ranches" fields, cultivating, carrying down water from the hills and all that kind of anoying stuff that no of us know how to do but always see in cowboy movies. Well he told me that one day after the field work he saw a "ball of fire" rise from the moutains and began moving, he and his co-workers where like "whut the hell is that" (in spanish ofcourse u__u) and all of the sudden the ball stopped in mid-air and flew straight to them in matter of seconds, It moved as if it had a consience as it approached the wood huts and set them on fire and the stocked crops, Then it exploated and collasped on it self, leaving behind a blue sphere about 1 meter in diameter than disapeared in the night.
There are a ton of stories like these, people who have seen those strange fire balls, that sometime apear in the dozens and move through the field in a dance-like fashion.
Witch Video (http://www.tu.tv/videos/brujas-sobre-mexico-)
Its an unrelated video of some witch-like creature sigted in mexico.
What they really are i am not sure but people call them brujas a.k.a witches in english.

*sniffles* But... but... pwease?
I have another one though it's not very scary...
I do ghost hunting with my friends whenever I get the time and the chance. I love the paranormal, especially ghosts and find them extremely fascinating.
Well, two of my friends and I had gone out ghost hunting one night; Mike and Brian also known as Zerith and DakkonRyck. It was a very small family owned graveyard in Ancaster on someone's property. We actually had to sneak on to it and walk through a corn field in order to get to this cropping of trees. And of course I had to say the classic line halfway through this field 'guys, this is so children of the corn. We're all gonne die.' Anyway, the stones were old and some of them had fallen over, others broken and some even worn passed the point of being able to read.
The first thing we started doing was searching around for the stones and while we were going that I pulled out my digital camera and started taking pictures. In one of the first few pictures I took this showed up:
http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc292/Witchy701/Jesus_Fish.jpg
I took it to work and showed one of my friends who's into this too and he said it looked like a Jesus Fish, so that's what it's been called ever since then. :p I told Matt that he couldn't come any more to my ghost hunts because he brings Jesus with him.
Nothing particularly out of the ordinary and extremely creepy happened at the graveyard. Brian and Matt felt like they were hugged by something in front of a child's gravestone. I have the strange urge to push one of the gravestones over and felt physically drained until we left the site. But that's nothing particularly weird.

WOW
Speaking of wich.
In my friends graduation we decided to sneek out of the prom and go into this 6 stories Hotel. The Leo hotel had been renovating it's top 2 floors, there was no light and clutter everywhere, they where these rumors about the Leo Hotel being haunted. So we decideed to go in 2 groups so we wouldnt be seen by reception, I was decided to take pictures and hopefully capture some ghosts. Interestingly this poped out.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m145/Poseidon1776/rancho004.jpg
It's a really weird picture since i didnt see anything there while taking it, there is also this one where if you are meticulous enough you can see a small orb between the chair and the cabinet.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m145/Poseidon1776/rancho006.jpg
Anywho, the first picture kind of took me of guard, doesent it look like a 'G'? My name is Gabriel Gonzalez, I am not sure if it has to do with it but I am still puzzeled by it. I just took those pictures about 2 months ago, out of the other seven these are the only special ones.
Speaking of strange but not particularly scary experiences...
Every now and then, I dream I am flying. This in and of itself is not unusual, many people have such dreams, but on this night in particular, I wasn't sleeping very well, and the flight sensation was real, it felt very real and not dream-like at all, so I woke up, and found myself laying on my Ceiling! My bed was below, the sheets were all messed up like I had gotten out of bed. It wasn't out of body, I was physically flying, and laying on my ceiling. Waking up must've been the wrong thing to do, because I immediatly fell upon waking up, and blacked out from fear before hitting my bed. I guess that was the right thing to do, because I woke up the next day without any injury internal or external of any kind. I guess when I blacked out, my subconcous somehow regained the flight ability and I drifted down to bed.
That was a month ago.

This one is really Jenn's to tell, but since she omitted it, I'll tell what I remember of it. It starts with an apartment I rented once. There was a ghost in it, who didn't particularly bother me. He liked to slam the cabinets in the kitchen every once in a while, but not loudly. My cat hated my room, where he mostly stayed in. Sitting on my couch, you could see a shadowy figure moving through my room when the light in there was off and the door was left ajar. ((Jenn can confirm. We saw him all the time.)) The first day in the apartment, I set up my bed in the room and laid down for a nap, and felt someone sit at the bottom of the mattress. Other than this little things, he and I lived pretty peacefully. He didn't frighten me, and I usually felt safer when I'd get little glimpses of him. I called him George.
Then Jenn started talking about seances.
I got a bad feeling, utterly refused the entire idea. "Leave him be. We get along." Well, the night that she was talking a lot about it, we were playing video games in the living room and she got sleepy, decided to go to sleep. She gets up, goes into my room and closes the door. After several minutes, I hear a thump against the wall and a startled cry. I jump up, run into the room, Jenn's wide awake and pale.
She told me that when she'd laid down, she closed her eyes. She felt a hand grab her arm, and she opened her eyes, thinking it was me. Instead, a tall ((totally not me. XD)), dark, male figure was standing over her, holding her arm, she shrieked and flailed, hitting the wall with her hand, which wee the noises I heard. When I opened the door coming into the room, he just dissappeared.
We dropped the subject of trying to Ouija board him or such, and he and I continued to live in harmony until I moved out. Jenn can correct me if I left anything out, but I believe that is how the story goes. n.n;;

If anyone has seen 'The Ghost Whisperer', then you know what I go through day to day, only, these ghosts aren't as clear and as audible as you may think, instead, fast shrill whispers. Most of them don't want me to do anything, just listen. Anyhow...There's only two that have really ever stood out in my memories. One was a young girl, she claimed she was lost and when I explained to her where she was, she proceeded to tell me how her mother had slit her and her brothers throats to prevent them from drowning on the Titanic, her father had survived because he'd been partying whilst herself, her brother and mother were all sleeping...It's quite haunting to see a well dressed little girl stood next to you with a large black line across her throat whispering her entire death to you...She actually looked dead, which surprised me more. I usually see the person in the state they were in BEFORE death, so usually the person is intact and in faded water color.
http://www.encyclopedia-titanica.org/biography/913/ A little research lead me to this girl, being one of the only people to have travelled with a single brother and both parents. The age is about right, but as for the rest of the details...I've never known.
Second, I don't want to talk about, I don't like him in the slightest, and he still won't leave. It's funny to hear about, but when it randomly flashes up, like a stalker, then is gone again...It's just...Urgh...
As it is, my room has two guardian spirits, which are both really cute! One is a ball of black 'light' which resides in the top left corner of my room, the other is a ball of white light which hangs out in the top right of my room, just above my door. My friends have commented on it and everything. Not really creepy, just cute. They also seem to influence my rooms temperature, my room has NEVER been 'just right', it's either freezing cold or boiling hot.

Some of these stories are quite creepy and surprisingly detailed. I'm afraid my own ghost stories aren't as vivid or frightening, but here you go.
I'm fairly certain my house is haunted. It's one of the oldest houses in my area of town-- 30-40 years older than most houses around it. Also, it is IMPOSSIBLE to move in this house without making noise. It doesn't matter how you tip-to or walk near the walls, every single floorboard creaks. Even my cats (I have three of them) make noise on the particularly squeaky boards.
Now, when I was younger, I used to get really scared when alone in my house at night. At night (epseically when the house is empty) the sound seems to get amplified, and all the noises would freak me out. Around the age of 14 I realized that if there was any danger in the house, I would hear it coming a mile away and haven't been scared of anything since.
Anyways... often when my family is out and I'm spending the night alone in my house, I hear noises. Most of the time I blame them on the cats, but some things just sound like the noise a person would make, or sometimes I know for a fact all my cats are outside, but still hear the sounds. The first few times this happened I went downstairs to look around and found nothing. After that, I just started ignoring it.
One night sometime after midnight, I started to hear voices. I couldn't make out what they were saying, but there were at least two speakers, sounding distant but close at the same time, murmuring back and forth. They started to get louder and louder, sounding more and more like they were arguing. Although they WERE getting louder (I got the sense this sound was only in my ears, not a tangible noise) I still couldn't make out the words, just the angry tone. Eventually they got so loud it was hurting my head, and actually scaring me a bit.
I had to do something, so I sat up in bed and just whispered "Spirit, go in peace."
Seems cliche, I know, but it was a phrase I recalled a friend who is really into paranormal/seances telling me about. After that, the voices dwindled rapidly, before finally, they were gone.

So, I'll put a question to you guys. Do you believe it is possible to follow a person from one life to the next in hopes of regaining a loved one? Okay, I wasn't going to share this but it's a neat occurrence so...
Since I was around nine years old I've been having dreams about a guy called Stefan. I still have frequent dreams about the guy. In all of this time he has never changed. For the most part the dreams are fairly normal, but occasionally they take a turn for the majorly weird.
I once had a dream about having tea with him in a garden that no one had taken care of for years. The plants were wild and huge, they hugged the path ways and the fences. Both Stefan and I were dressed in late 1800 century fashion. We sat a iron table and chatted. I'll leave out the boring details of the dreams. I have seen this man three times in real life.
The first was back in Oklahoma at my mother's house. In the front room we have a couch set up by the bay window. In the far corner of the yard is a street lamp. I got the creepy feeling of being watched so I looked up and spotted the person. Satisfied that it was just a person and not some unknown spooky I went back to my book. It dawned on me then that the person I had seen was Stefan. I looked back up just to make sure I had actually seen him. He was still there. I looked away then back and he was gone. I decided that it was a good time to go to bed after that.
The second time was in a mall. I got the feeling that I was not just being looked over like any normal person would do but that someone was actually watching watching me. I spotted Stefan on the other walkway, leaning against the railing. He nodded to me as I forced to move out of the way of someone behind me. In the second, that it took for the person to pass me Stefan had disappeared. I got the impression that he had wanted me to approach him and that by freezing like a rabbit I had disappointed him.
The last time was relatively recently. It is a hobby of mine to watch the stupid kids around here run around at all hours of the night and wonder how a mom could let their kid run around at three in the morning. Some of these children are no more than 15.
Across the street, standing between the two street lamps a person was standing there just looking across the street at my apartment. It took me a few moments to realize that he was looking into the window I am sitting in front of. As per my new hobby of yelling at odd people lurking around outside. I put on my glasses to see the person better and stood up from my chair, leaning towards the open window.
With my glasses on, I could make out the man's features clearly. (I hate being near sighted!!!) It was Stefan. For a long moment I watched him, he abruptly disappeared. No walking away, he was just gone. For the rest of the night I found myself happy for no apparent reason.
Yes, I do believe it is possible to follow someone from one life to the next. My soul is very old, and has walked the earth for thousands of years, and I remember seeing the rise and fall of some of the greatest civilizations in the world. I was even once a close relative of the Roman Emporer.
I've seen and learned things, in life and in death, things that I simply cannot express in an understandible way. Understand, these are not memories normally at the surface of my mind, but hidden at the lowest levels of the mind, in a place that must be purposely sought out.
For close to the past one thousand years, me and another have been together, traveling down each path of life together, side by side.
I know. I know in this life, my friend is a woman. I know she has red hair, green eyes, a fair complexion, favors the color Green, and is a very beautiful woman. I know her name is Irene, and I know w live close to one another, and when the time is right, our paths will cross, and become one.

That's weird... where do you say you live? I have a Russian friend, who is green eyed, and red haired... Her name is Irina
I''ve had dreams of what appears to be past lives, Nothing really clear other than an asian kid working of a factory somewhere, dies traped on an explosion, and unusually... a girl who's cart is raided.
In today's world, the woman I described is probably not all that uncommon. Though the similarities are quite interesting.
The oldest memory I have, is simply the color Green. that's it. Just seeing green. Lots, and lots of green. I think I was in a forest, or a grassy valley of some sort, I don't know.
Reincarnation and other spiritual stuff aside, I have a spooky tale.
When I was little, I was visiting a friend's place, or my parents were visiting their friends, but for whatever reason, I was alone by myself in a room with a little kiddy slide, a bunch of teddy bears, and a doll about my height. I was about two.
I remember the bears all staring at me, and there must have been two dozen at the least, and I felt this kind of creepy malevolence. I went to play on the slide anyway, telling them to "stay there." Next thing I know, the doll was walking toward me in this creepy robot manner, and as I slipped down the slide, a bear walked over to be at the foot of the slide.
I got away and called for my mom, and when she came up the doll and bear just stood still, not moving, not doing anything.
The only bear I've had since, really, is a bear that I've had for forever, a little white bear with gray eyes and a ribbon. None of those that can stand up on their own, although I don't think I'm creeped out by them. I am creeped out by those life-sized dolls, though.
