Changes in this color.

Name: Sakurazuka Anila Miyu
Age: 19
Race: Human
Hair Color: Jet black
Eye Color: Brown
Height: 5'3"
Build: Slender/athletic

Personality: Calm, cool, and reserved define this tiny Akashiman's personality. She does not tend to anger, excitement, or passion, preferring the calm and quiet she was raised to in her home. This reserve tends to prompt her to snub people of 'lower class,' and she can be extremely judgemental and cold to people who do not deserve her time - that is, almost everyone.

Appearance: Anila is a short and slender Akashiman woman. She bears the normal dark hair and eyes, as well as the fair skin of her culture. If encountered in town, the traveler will see her in a full-length silk yellow kimono with her hair done and her makeup on, walking on wooden sandals with platform blocks on the bottom. If encountered on the road or her Pagoda arena, she will be wearing a pale blue form-fitting top which collars tightly at the top of her neck. The sleeves of the outfit clasp at her wrists, and the garment extends down past her knees, slits opening at her hips for full range of motion. Beneath the top she wears a set of black leggings, and she has sturdy walking shoes for her feet.

History: Growing up the daughter of a noble in Akashima, Anila was trained in all the courtly arts...how to be graceful and polite to other nobles, how to act coolly disdainful of people below her station (while not looking like she was being disdainful at all), how to properly serve tea, and how to dance. Among other dances, Anila learned how to dance with fans from the time she was little.

Ordinarily, she wouldn't have made anything of this. Every other girl in her social circle could dance with the fans as well as she could. But every other girl in her circle did NOT have to practice katas with her brother every day. As she was the only other sibling her brother had, and he needed someone to practice with, her father also made her learn martial arts from the family sensei after their music lessons, instead of learning the arts of painting and poetry.

Because of this, Anila was not as refined socially as the other girls her age, but her fan-dances had that much more power and grace to them...and this gave her an idea, leading to the forging of her steel fans Uindo and Hagane. They have removable silk coverings -- on Uindo is a dragon flying among sakura blossoms, and on Hagane is the angel-winged sword of Akashima with sakura blossoms interspersed on the cloth as well.

On her sixteenth birthday, Anila started actually using her fans in her spars with her brother (he used more traditional weapons), and she became skilled in her deadly fan-dance.

On her nineteenth birthday, Anila decided that she would take a trip around Althanas before returning to Akashima to fulfill her arranged marriage to a noble of her parents' choice.

Since leaving home, Anila did a little bit of fruitless wandering before being invited to join the Dajas Pagoda, where she serves as a Warrior, and the House of Sora. She has so far defeated the cyborg Koran and fellow House of Sora member Dyne Corona.

Skills:

Gratzia: In a courtly setting, Anila has the ability to interact properly with other members of society's upper echelons, due to her life-long training in that regard. In Akashima, this also includes the ability to talk humbly about oneself and go through the tea ritual properly.

Wearing the kimono and walking in those shoes: To be honest...it's a skill. Big sleeves make it hard to eat without spilling things on yourself, the shoes are easy to trip on, and if you step on the hem of your kimono, you're likely to trip and fall. Anila has been wearing the shoes and kimono since she was a child, and no longer has such problems.

Playing the shamisen: Almost since she could walk, Anila has been taught how to play this three-stringed lute. She does not have a love for playing, though, so her skill in this is only average, and she did not bring her shamisen with her when she left Akashima.

Fan Dance: Also capable of being done with ordinary fans as a non-melee form of entertainment, with Uindo and Hagane, Anila is deadly in the art of fighting with her razor-edged steel fans. Her movements always reflect the dances that she learned as a girl and the katas she learned as an adolescent.

Equipment:
Hagane and Uindo: razor-edged steel fans Anila uses to fight with
Makeup kit: Because an Akashiman noble woman simply cannot appear without her face painted.
Set of hair ornaments: Matching her kimono, these are for when her hair is done while in town.
Kimono: as described in appearance (also having a floral pattern printed on it).
Traveling clothes: as described in appearance.

Familiars: Maid servant (Hissomi) -- she's just there to carry equipment, as well as dress Anila in the kimono and do her mistress's makeup and hair (because it really is impossible for one to do that on her own). She has no combat skill and may not help her mistress in any situation OTHER than those she is specifically skilled in (that is, kimono, hair, makeup, pack mule).
Since Anila became a member of the Dajas Pagoda, Hissomi took minor medical care upon herself. She can bandage minor wounds and create soothing salves and poultices, but cannot heal damage on her own.

"Deadly" is really a term open to many interpretations, but I'll allow it because I know you know better then to powergame it.

You are approved. Welcome to the next level.
