History:
Born in a hidden Draconian society in mountainous Alerar, Artemis was one of only a few dozen of his kind. An ancient race of soul-devouring, humanoid dragons, the Draconians had been forced into hiding many generations earlier.
Though they have a powerful compulsion to consume souls of other beings, Draconians do not need to do so to survive. Artemis, even as an infant, had a hunger even worse than was typical for his kind. In adolescence, he gave into his hunger and killed a peer, consuming the soul. Artemis fled the society before he could be killed, using the strength he’d gained to speed off.
For a few years since, Artemis has lived in the wilds of Corone, Raeara and Alerar, hunting travelers and animals alike.
Appearance:
6’1” with bulging muscles and traits of a Draconian; red eyes, massive dragonlike wings, long scaled tail, horns, claws. His claws and horns are as strong as iron. Otherwise, Artemis has a humanlike face, but possesses fangs. He has wild, white hair that spills past his shoulders. Two long horns stick from his skull and rear backward in curves. Artemis has no sexual organs, so wears no clothes.
Equipment:
Steel Spear: A barbed speed almost as long as Artemis is tall. A green ribbon is tied to the shaft just below the tip.
Iron Buckler: A heavy iron shield strapped to Artemis’s left arm.
Skills:
Spear Fighting: Artemis is an average fighter with his spear.
Flight: Artemis may fly up to forty feet in the air, but only for a maximum of two minutes at a time.
Soul Devour: Artemis eats the soul of his foe. Doing so can grand the Draconian a new power, an increase to his physical ability, knowledge, or something else. Artemis can eat the soul of a dead foe, or one he can otherwise overpower and consume the heart of.
Endurance: Artemis has more endurance than is typical of a human with his build, but only a slight amount.
