Addarmus unknowingly followed the steps of a previous angel, confident strides leading him down the cobbled street until the enchantments store came into view.

Using a hand clutched about a piece of paper, Addarmus shoved the door open and strode in with certainty that this was the place he wanted, having had a gut feeling that this enchantment store in particular held what he demanded.

Strutting upto the counter, the child offered a soft smile, laying down the piece of paper onto the solid oak platform place of sales, his shirt riding up his arm as he slides his wrist and the note across the wood, revealing a midnight blue ribbon tied gently about the pale flesh of the young boy.

The paper read in extremely tidy and fashionable script: 'One book of enchantments, intermediate level'

Addarmus stood calm, awaiting his request, not saying a single word, believing each word that need be spoken only be words of importance.

I'd like Artifex for this one, please. ^_^

The merchant girl grinned at the little kid who came into her shop, watching him as he made his way to the counter. There wasn't much work lately, but it was still often nice to see a customer. Still, the little kid was cute, even if he seemed a little different. She arched an eyebrow as he slid a piece of paper onto the table, and smiled a little widely as she read it. She held up a finger, turning and fetching the book from the several shelves behind her. She took the book down laying it on the table, wondering something.

"The book is 150 gold little guy," she explained. She paused for a moment, looking at him. "Are you mute, by any chance?"

Quietly shaking his head, he removed a quill from his pocket, dipping the quill into an ink well before writing a quick and crude figure upon the paper. '120'.

He was attempting bartering, in an odd and silent fashion, a quiet and cute smile waging mental warfare with the tender in hopes of hitting a sympathy vote card.

Spoken words were a gift, he would not abuse such gift.

"I'm sorry, but I really can't let the book go for less then 135 at the very least little one," the girl said to him. She grinned a little, looking at him. "Why don't you speak though? You look smart. I bet you could wow everyone!"

How could he deny her after a compliment? Ah! His brains began to tick, it made sense to do what came first as an idea. The quill scribbled another number down in silence, this time in a completely different style of script, showing off his scholarly nature. "130...And I shall bestow my speech."

Addarmus' voice was something to behold, to hear it was a gift to those who were fortunate to fall upon it.

The girl puased for a moment. The last five gold would come out of her paycheck, but it would be interesting to see the little boy talk. She smiled, nodding to him. She made enough money anyway.

"That'll be fine then."
