I'm also interested in a not-so-battle-oriented quest. Izvilvin has limited ability to speak and understand common, and otherwise only speaks Drow. This quest couldn't take place in Raiaera, Alerar, Dheathain or Salvar.

Otherwise I'm pretty much open to suggestions. As odd as I am with Luc, I've always been reliable when posting as Izvilvin. So yeah, let me know.

Anyways, I think Ifrit will be spending alot more time in Akashima with Regrasoon, so if want to do something there i'm free. Eternium is completely out of the question as he currently resides in Scara for now and I dont want to risk screwing up liquid timing. Leigh, I dunno. There is a possibility she would be outside of Scara Brae, but it wouldn't make sense if she was suddenly in some other reigon she had never heard of before, and again the risk of liquid time mess-ups pops up like a dead Pyramid head cockroach. (Reference to Silent Hill movie)

If you suddenly get a burst of inspiration, however, let me know. :)

I used to be in line for your Glimmerfang quest, but even though Lily is level 2 she can still get her ass handed to her by a level 0. This quest sounds a lot more suitable for her, though! She's a linguist in becoming, and could sure use some help in mastering Drow.

Con: I'm somewhat unreliable. I'll always post, though it'll take time.

Ataraxis, don't be so down on yourself. You have an excellent, in depth character with great support skills and now you have offensive ones as well. What good is a powerful warrior if he/she cannot heal their own wounds? Remember, you saved Ifrit's butt in our quest. ;)

Linguist: Crap, that means Eternium would have been perfect for this as he is a linguist as well. Hmm, Cyrus I dunno but maybe I can work something out where Eternium is away from Scara....I can risk Liquid timing, I suppose, for the sake of it. I just don't like liquid time all that much as it can become confusing not only to the writer but to readers as well.

If I use Ifrit it'll take place after the Regrasoon thread, I'm guessing, so it might not be and option whether or not to liquid my char's. >.< Oh well. Ever pressing onward for the sake of Roleplaying!

Keeping control over liquid time is all up to you. Izvilvin was a massive user of it, and though it caused some trouble, it all comes together at a level up and I sort it out in his history. No big.

We can easily do a quest where the three of us meet in some place, they take an interest in Iz since he speaks Drow (and is armed to the teeth, perhaps). THEN THERE IS A GOBLIN/ORC/SPACESHIP ATTACK, yeah!!!!

Or we can develop some kind of plot, ha.

Eternium would be interested in him since he speaks little common and as you said your drow is armed to the teeth. Ifrit would probably be interested in him because at first he would think Izvilvin is another demon from his white hair and black skin.

Anyways, one plot is that while they are together, conversing (or at least trying to), they could be ambushed by a group of _________(insert creatures/persons) who think that they are easy prey from their small numbers, but we end up pwning them and making any survivors flee for their lives. Hmm...actually, a mriswith might be a good challenge for your character, and incorporate some of Ifrit's history into the plot.

If you need any info on mriswith you can ask me. Note that they are not an original idea of mine, I adapted them and modified them to be more dangerous here on Althanas.

After all that, I dunno though.

Eternium sounds like a better fit, perhaps. I don't like the idea of just suddenly being ambushed, as I've gone down that road a few billion times already. I'm not opposed to busting out some fighting, but we'd have to give it some solid thought before we commit to that.

For now, though, the idea of meeting up and simply conversing in an interesting area seems satisfactory. We could always come up with something more in depth as we go along.

And I've no actual idea for anything in depth, but I do like the idea of just meeting up somewhere and have them talk. We can definitely wing it, too; in fact, that's the way I prefer it. ^^

Though I won't be able to have Lily do anything in Fallien, since I haven't really figured out how she'll ever return there, if she does. Would Iz wander around Alerar, Salvar or Dheathain? These are the places Lily has already begun exploring (leaving out Raiaera, since I doubt Iz has a warm opinion of the place).

I'm up for either region. If it's Scara Brae, I could even go and do something I had planned for later: would you mind sidequest-like events? I could make a McGuffin out of it. Basically, if it's Scara Brae, there could be rumors of a strange creature roaming the Brokenthorne Forest, but there's no actual gory story about it. Lillian could have an inkling about what it is and investigate. Some could hire hands to kill it or capture it. That, or we could start this completely in the dark, and hear the rumors later? Or something else entirely that you'll decide on because I've no creative way to go about this? <3

I'm okay with whatever you choose to do. Eager to see it up!

Couple issues with your last post, Whiteshadow.

The Drow of Althanas aren't the Drow of Forgotten Realms. Lolth doesn't exist on Althanas and the Drow are a little bit different, in general.

Secondly, Iz is only carrying his sais right now (they're hidden), and he didn't yet remove his cloak. The He'd that I wrote was written as 'he would', not 'he had', sorry for the confusion.

oops. Yes I know I brought the drow of Menzzo into that, sorry I did that on purpose. It was to have Eternium misunderstand and be confused with your drow's intense warrior spirit. The "book" is really a book that would be normally found on Earth -- the book probably being on the forgotten realms or something. As it is, he wouldn't be able to tell fantasy from reality, as he's in a realm of fantasy as it is. I'll put that the book was called "The Faerie of the Forgotten Realms," and put a note that this was done on purpose. How it came to Althanas, well that' would be unknown.

The idea of a basilisk sounds interesting. What it's doing there will have to be sorted out, but I sure know what it's going to do! Though the whole 'eyes petrify those who stare into it' is a bit much. What say you we go with the giant snake, lethal-poison-fangs and jagged-spine route instead?

I throw in my vote if everyone else does so too. In which case we should have a villager burst into the tavern, yelling something about a Scarabrian having just come in with gaping wounds on his side and on the verge of death (he'd have seen the guy rushed to one of the healers, on the streets). He'd continue the aforementioned rumor and, considering how mercs and the like usually hang around taverns, he'd have unknowingly started a huge hunt in the woods.

Does Anenfel know how his father died? If not, he could think that his father died because of this monster, which would give him a reason to join in the wild hunt (and bring Lily along too). Dunno, I've no idea what you've already planned for this, and I don't want to wreck any of it!

My post is up, unnaturally dark for Anenfel, which is why I like it so much.

His father died during a Scourge raid on a caravan along the roads to and from Scara Brae. He fought alongside the Guard, which explains the note.

But it doesn't really matter, Anenfel is in the mindset that he will put himself in harm's way. No matter what. So after Lily and Annie meet, he'd be up for just about anything, as long as danger was involved.

Eternium is now questioning the drow's motives and presence in Scara Brae, so if anything happens its probably going to take the two of us off guard. What about Anefel and Ataraxis? How are they going to get into the thick of things?

So I'm going to bring a strange God-spider into play in my next post, because hey why not? After we repel them all, our characters can meet up and chat, and Ataraxis and Iz will supposedly head west.

Then quest will end, we will gets EXP/goldz, and next part in saga beginz. I'm lazy with explanations today.

I loved that post for three reasons. 1: Your writing is so smooth to me it might as well be silk. 2: The ways you use the enviroment to better help your strategy is great. 3: I loved how you incorporated an NPC I had made up in one of my earlier posts back into the story, if only for a brief instant.

Edit: I liked it! The trend of bringing back NPCs instead of creating new ones is something that seems to work in this thread, and it gives the story a feel that it's not centered on our four characters. There are other heroes around, stronger than the PCs, and that just gives it an enjoyable sense of realism. You let the drunkenness show all throughout the fight scene, and he didn't seem like some kind of strangely unbeatable badass, which is perfect. Iz is our badass anyway, and he's doing it just right! :P

I was thinking about giving Eternium a bow like attack too, so we could take that into cosideration.

Then we'll fight that for a while, since it'll be fun.

Just to be clear, the Spider God destroyed the inn, but we're not on the seaside or near the docks anymore, right? Like, on the other side, closer to the town center?

If so, does that mean that the Spider God came from the water? We'd have noticed it if it had made its way from the inland to the coast, unless it crept in as a regular-sized spider and decided to grow right there.
