Personality: CĂ*rdan has the common Elven aloofness, but underneath this, he is a deeply careing person. Inhearating the human yearning for adventure and exploring the un-known from his father, and the elven wanderlust and woodslore of his mother, he makes a perfect hunter, tracker, and ranger.
Appearance: CĂ*rdan is a tall young half-elf, inheriting the whipcord build of his elven mother, along with his slightly pointed ears and glowing green eyes; and the height and sandy brownish-blonde hair of his human father. His hair is worn long, though on occasion he may tie it back with a leather cord. He primarily wears browns and greens so that he may blend in more with his surroundings.
History: Born of a Human father and an Elven mother, CĂ*rdan has been taught to survive with nature from an incredibly young age. Having inhearated the elvish know-how in the woods, many of his formative years were spent hunting and fishing in the forrests surrounding his home. During one such treck, CĂ*rdan came across a young wolf that had been injured by a careless and lazy hunters trap. Over the weeks that followed, He began to build up the creatures trust in him by visiting it daily and attempting to mend its wounds and keep it fed. After a while, the wolf followed him home. Bonding with the animal, CĂ*rdan gave her the name of Lliorial. Since that day, she has been a loyal friend and companion of the young Half-Elf.
Skills: Along with a natural elven affinity for the bow and blade, CĂ*rdan is a good herbalist and tracker. He is also able to communicate with animals through the gifts of his mothers elven heritage. Learning the trade of leatherworking from his father, CĂ*rdan has been tracking, hunting, and skinning his own kills since a young age, and has recently began to learn his fathers trade, creating beautiful armor and gear out of leather. He has also learned how to create his own bows and arrows out of self harvested materials from his mother.

Equipment: CĂ*rdan has a beautifully crafted yew recurve bow that he made himself. He is wearing a self-made boiled leather vest from a Bull Deer that he skinned himself. He is also wearing a pair of boiled leather pants and boots from the hides of Deer that he has hunted. He also wears a hunting knife on his right hip, next to a pouch that holds a small amount of bandages and prepared herbs. Also in this pouch are tools to care for and make leather armor and bows. On his back is a thick hunting cloak with hood, and a tooled leather quiver that his mother gave to him on his 100th birthday. This quiver is special in that it never runs out of arrows of the type most recently placed into it. At this time, he has steel tipped hunting broadheads on seasoned yew shafts. The arrows have grey goose feathers used for fletching.
Familiar: Mackenzie Valley Wolf, Lliorial. Lliorial is a young Mackenzie Valley Wolf whom Vellaris has gradually built a frendship with. She is a beautiful mottled Grey and White wolf with a strong build and intelligent amber eyes.
