My boyfriend wants me to start writing again. Said it's a waste of talent for me to be expending it all on essays. So...

I probably won't be writing with other people...yet...Pissing off more Althanians isn't on my to-do list anymore.

I have a lot of university classes and homework and very little access to computers, internet, and free time. Such things are commodities sold to the highest and smartest bidder, of which I am neither.

You don't have to write for us, you know. And essays are, to me, fairly boring in comparison to creative writing.

Felt like it's a step towards ACTUALLY writing again...maybe.

Getting over that fear of writing, hah. Cause I know I'm not a great writer...now I just have to ignore that fact and come up with things anyways and pretend to be good so that I can be satisfied with my work. Self-esteem-lacking and pathetic, yes, I know, but I don't know any other way.

I gotta get better somehow.

NaNoWriMo is the National Novel Writing Month. It's meant as an incentive for writers, professional or no, to write a novel as quickly as possible, and often serves at least as a starting point for larger projects. In order to succeed, one must write a novel of at least 50,000 words, a great feat in and of itself. Quantity over quality is reviewed in determining success, though a good book would be better than a long one.
