Skills: Taeki is a practitioner of an ancient, secretive magic. Simply put, she is able to play instruments without having to have a tangible object. Through several years of practice, she has been able to summon up the sounds by playing out an instrument in midair. Depending on which instrument she plays, different feelings, sensations, and such will occur. Currently, she is only capable of two instruments, but she has plans to expand her reach.
Flute - This instrument will soothe pain and cause minor wounds to heal rapidly.
Cello - This instrument can cause excruciating, blunt pain, as if one were getting struck by a fist or club.
Taeki has to maintain concentration in order to continuosly play a song, And if interrupted, it fatigues her much more quickly than normal. Completing a song will begin to wear on her stamina as if she's ran a marathon, and she must have a minimal amount of strength in order to even begin playing.
Appearance: Hunched over old lady who wears a gray billowing cloak with a hood that is almost always pulled up hiding her face in shadows. Always barefoot. Carries a walking stick in her gnarled hands. Thinning, ragged shoulder length gray hair that falls forward out of her hood. Wears glasses. Always wears an Amethyst pendant around her neck which she protects at all costs.
Equipment:Carries with her only a golden piccolo which is said to bring good luck when played.
History: As a teenager, Taeki was sent to a private music school to take advantage of her musical talent. There, she was taught to play instruments without the use of the tangible instrument using only her hands. Taeki’s instructor noticed her talent right away and gave her the gift of an amethyst pendant as a reward for the girl’s hard work. Only two years into her studies, the school was taken over and destroyed. In the course of the school being destroyed, the instructor was killed and Taeki was put under the power of a spell that gave the sixteen year old girl the appearance of a sixty six year old woman which is why the old lady has only a minimal amount of knowledge of her magic. Taeki dedicated her life to finding the group responsible for destroying her school and bringing them down and in the process mastering her magic. Taeki has no home and no family that she knows of since her school has been destroyed. She travels around her world staying with families who are kind enough to give her a place to stay and something to eat. In return for their generosity, Taeki plays the family a ballad on her golden piccolo which she claims to bring good luck.
