Name: Beniiro Denkou. His name literally means "Red Lightning" in Japanese.
Age: Unknown, even to himself. He is at least 27 years of age to date.
Race: Nekojin, of Akashima
Gender: Male
Hair and Skin Color: Covered with Black Fur.
Eye Color: A bright yellow normally, they turn red upon certain actions or moods.

Weight: 124 lbs
Occupation: Primarily an assassin who lives by the code of the Samurai, the Bushido. However, if forced to through neccessity, he will also do odd jobs here and there for extra cash. He is also the Captain of the Ninth Company of the Bladewraiths. While the Seventh Company is the main fighting force of the cult, the Ninth Company are experts at gathering information, making them perfect for covert missions.
Personality: Beniiro is usually very serious, and likes to work alone through his belief that others will simply get in his way. He takes no joy in fighting, and will usually avoid fights rather than start them. However, he is not afraid to step up to the plate when it is necessary, and likes to finish his battles quickly rather than prolong them.
However, it is said he has a soft spot for women and children, and he hesitates to draw his blade against either, no matter how much of a threat they are.
He also does not drink, as he finds that alcohol dulls the senses and slows the reactions. However, he is not afraid to use "drinking" as a cover-up for operations, and often visits bars for information.
Appearence: Beniiro looks like a huge black cat standing on its hind legs, and generally appears like other Nekojin. His eyes are a bright electric yellow normally, but sometimes they turn flaming red upon certain moods or actions. He doesn't feel this change when it happens. His catlike body is lean and muscled, toned from years of use. Around his neck and bottom half of his face a long, red scarf flows like a stream of blood, and when still it flows down to feet, it being almost as long as he is tall. Under this scarf he keeps his Bladewraith amulet, a tear-drop shaped ruby. On his shoulders, forearms, and legs he wears slight leather armor that is specifically made to both protect and not hinder his movements in any way. His tail is also black and versatile, as he uses it for balance and movement. He does not wear any footwear or gloves of anysort, and his claws are usually concealed.

History: Beniiro was actually found wandering the forests and mountains of Akashima as a child by a wandering sect of Bladewraiths, who immediately saw the potential in him to be a great swordsman. They took him in and raised him as one of their own for over 27 years, training him in the ways of the blade, before he defeated the Captain of the Ninth Company through sheer skill alone. As the Ninth company was famed for its skill in espionage and information, Beniiro was sent on many missions that eventually led to his becoming of an assassin.
Now he is on his newest job: locating the wherebouts of the Captain of the Seventh Company, Ifrit Obsidian, and locating the wherebouts of ex-Captain of the First Company, Regrasoon.
Skills:
Blade Proficiency: As a member of the Bladewraiths and training for over 27 years, Beniiro has studied blades and their ilk constantly. However, since he has chosen to specialize in one weapon and style he has grown slightly rusty with others and so he is below average with any bladed weapon save the katana/no-dachi.
Assassin/Shinobi Swordsmanship: Beniiro has chosen to specialize in katanas and other japanese swords and thus possesses above average profiency when wielding such a weapon.
Feline Speed, Senses and Reflexes: Being a Nekojin, Beniiro of course has the reflexes and agility of a cat, always landing on his feet and being 1.5x faster than a normal human being. He also has slightly enhanced hearing, sight and smell, being able to see slightly in the dark, hear whispers and sounds that normally wouldn't be heard if the wind is just right, and smell disturbances in the air or different poisons. And of course, he possesses slight sixth sense, able to sense danger before it appears at times.
Japanese and Sign Language: Being trained as an Akashiman assassin has allowed Beniiro to learn and speak Japanese fluently, and from his training he has also learned sign language, both common and secret.
Equipment:
Traveling neccessities--these include a leather bag about 1'and a half large (width and height), some bandages (estimate 5-7), healing poltice (a bottle full, about half a foot) that helps speed up the healing process, a small potion that helps to keep him awake during long missions (1-2 uses), and some food and drink for journeys (about 3 water "bottles" and food enough for three days.)
Zakega--An ancient no-dachi (japanese long sword/katana) that Beniiro was given as a reward after a mission. The blade is semi-sentient and when Beniiro touched it a strange red light bonded the two together, so now he can feel its feelings and emotions. The metal is unknown, as a blacksmith told him when the Nekojin took the blade to him to inspect it, but it seems to be as strong as steel at this point. Who knows about the future. Beniiro is able to wield this weapon in one hand, despite its size (4'5" feet long) as the blade is seemingly as light as a short sword. The actual blade of the sword is black, but it glows red depending on circumstances.
