i am sitting here, typingaway on my new PSP. big deal, right?

well...i was wondering if any of you knows what i can do with this thing.

im really excited about getting to know what this thing can really do...other than give me plenty of texting practice (^_^)

oh, and sorry im so inactive. ill finish that story eventually

I wish I had one of those. Thought about buying one off someone here on campus.

Anyway, I've been told that you should put a custom firmware on it.

Apparently it can do all the same stuff plus a lot more cool stuff. I haven't looked into it too much but that seems kinda neat.

Wow. That is impressive. All I know about the PSP is that it can play movies and games, and that FF7: Crises Core and Final Fantasy Dissidia is coming out for it too. *squeals like a fan girl*

I hope the PSP Star Ocean games get brought over state side^^ they look really awesome and I love remakes of games that didn't make it state side as the first one.

I'm really loving Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles right now^^ great but hard game and even if it's too hard, unlocking Symphony of the night isn't all that hard and it's a blast.

Puzzle Quest is good and you can actually enjoy the artwork, it's ugly on the DS. Though PSP has one bug that makes companions worthless but it's not a big deal since what they do isn't much at all.

And last if you like old school RPGs then Brave story's a great game. though it's really old fashioned gameplay but it's still great and the graphics are awesome. Also has one of the cutest cat girls.

I got FF Tactics with it. Unfortunately, I didn't get any accessories with it....like a memory stick duo...anyone know where i can find one? I'm using a Dig-Camera USB cable, but I still need the memory stick...

oh, btw... my PSP is 3.60...

PSP's can play movies, but they're UMD disks, not blu-ray. Unless they've come out with some fancy crazy blu-ray UMD hybrid that I don't know about.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm hearing Final Fantasy Tactics and getting an enormous erection. Now, I've been soundly addicted to FFTA for my Gameboy and I never unfortunately got the opportunity to play the original foor the PS.

I never really played FFT... heard from a bunch of people it was good, but then again I also heard that FFVII was the best game on the face of the earth and I've never played it either. Only FF games I've played is FFX and FFXI (the online one, which I am still addicted to and have recently gotten back into playing regularly)

Every game is either exactly half of what the original is, or else so depleted in content that it's worthless to spend 45+ dollars on it.

The movie option is perhaps the only outstanding feature of the PSP, but alas, the only place you can purchase PSP movies is either Online or at a used game store. =/

You may do whatever you wish with the thing, but I'm probably never going to buy a hand held designed by Sony again. Microsoft thankfully hasn't tried and Nintendo has long since perfected the art of hand held.

that's pretty much 90% all hand held titles^^ Nintendo's game boy included.

Actually both have good libraries when you cut away the crap. But DS kinda wins out by being able to play GBA games.
