Lv 3 profile (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=6127)

Full Name: Elena Alexi Nito

Age: 21

Race: Dhampir (human/ vamp)

Gender: female

Hair Color: black highlighted with blood red streaks, mid back length

Eye Color and shape: chocolate brown, almond shaped and just a bit too big for her face

Height: 5'1"

Weight: 112 lbs

Occupation: Mother, warrior and semi reluctant queen

Location: Moontae City, Concordian Forest

Items: A odd skirt and bikini top made of copper chain mail, a matching pair of bracelets made of copper that look like shackles, a twisted hunk of brass that was once a collar to match the bracelets, a silver pendant in the shape of a Moontae holy symbol. An ankle length dress covered in Moontae symbols made of red silk. Steel hairpins with red semi precious crystal embedded in them. A bracelet matched the hairpins. All above items were given to her by Avery Nito. A short, empire waisted sun dress of red silk. A topaz amulet, a woolen cloak, and a dress made of crushed red velvet, given to her by her guardian. A leather knapsack to hold items. A unique necklace bought for her by Ladies Man, a small obsidian cage holds three garnet orbs. The necklace is suspended from a hair fine silver chain.

Weapons: falchion and two daggers, all made of steel

Armor: Leather body armor, boot and gloves. Segmented steel plates covering shoulders, upper arms and the shins.

Appearance: Petite, delicate and harmless looking, until you look into her rich chocolate colored eyes. Elena looks like a morbid child’s doll with porcelain skin that never tans and blood highlighted black hair. Through bearing her son and carrying her second child, Elena’s figure has ripened. While still athletically slender Elena’s body now looks like a woman’s rather than a whippet mockery of a female.

Personality: Moderately irritable and quick to anger, Elena normally has a smack around now and ask questions later motto. Her rough exterior covers a softer side that she rarely lets sees the light of day. She can be arrogant but is extremely loyal to those the worm their way in past her defenses and past her better judgment. Past tragedies have made Elena wary of anyone around her. Recent events have softened Elena’s general attitude towards people. While still prone to becoming angered easily she now has a general lighter attitude. Elena is just as apt to smile and laugh as much as she frowns and yells.

Skills: Very proficient at hand to hand and using her falchion and daggers, due to the training of the Shields. She is lost with any other type of weapon.

Level 1: Rage and other extreme emotions cause her to lean more towards her vampire nature, her speed, reaction time and hearing increase a little. The pupils dilate fully to allow her see better, the down side is in daylight she is blinded. She has a built in warning system from when anything demonic is around, her skin feels like its trying to crawl off her. Downside of the abilities is she loses control of herself more easily and is terrified of losing control.

Level 2: Her nails (which she always keeps moderately long) harden into natural weapons. Elena can tone down her warning system or become so use to a certain type of demon she fails to register it at all. Strong emotions are the trigger now instead of extreme emotions, she gains a little more control of herself when more vampiric. All other abilities stay where they are.

Level 3: (General char level boost) Healing abilities accelerate slightly; wounds heal at ¼ a rate faster than a human when she focuses on healing. Old scars have a tendency to fade away. Objects embedded in the body must be cut out before the wound seals or the body will slowly cut itself open as it pushes the foreign object out. New wounds heal and fade completely given enough time. Elena gains the ability to lure her vampire side out by recalling stressful situations.

(Vamp side boost) Her speed, reaction time and strength increase are one half better that of an average human. Hearing, sight (day and night) smell and balance are slightly just over half what a cats abilities are.

Blood Lust: The more Elena uses (willingly or unwillingly) her abilities, the stronger the lure of her darker side is and with it the need to compensate her abilities by feeding on blood. Her general attitude to her blood lust is one of horror. The fear that her growing vampire side may one day grow beyond her ability to contain it.

Dead Whisper: Elena can hear the silent mussing of a spirit near to her. This ability has a mind of its own. It does not work when Elena tries to use it, it just happens. Any information Elena gains is pretty much useless. What she hears is whatever the spirit is thinking about. The spirit must be within three feet of Elena. She is not able to speak with the spirits of the still living. Elena thinks the gift, or curse as she sees it, is from her expanding vampiric side or a by product of the alien crystal entering her body.

Level 4: (general char level boost) Everyday strength and healing increases to one half times that of a person her size. Speed and other senses stay at their current capacity.
(Vamp Side Boost) Speed, strength, smell, sight and hearing stay at their current capacity. Elena’s balance and agility is on par with a cat’s.

Blood Lust: No longer a sometime thing or an ability use side effect. By merely existing now, Elena finds herself craving blood. (This negative status will take effect immediately after the birth of her daughter.)

Dead Whisper: Since the death of her son, this ability has become firmly stuck in the ‘on’ position and Elena has found that she is unable to tune the soul/spirit out, much to her annoyance. The radius of what she can hear is still the same and she is still unable to contact the spirit that she hears.

Siren lure: A natural extension of Elena’s as yet mostly undeveloped appeal. Those within hearing range of her songs are slightly transfixed by her voice. The emotional tone of the song has much to do with how it acts upon a person. EX. If Elena is sad and singing, a person that is also down will be drive deeper into their depression. The same song will have no effect upon a happy person. Any and all effects last only as long as Elena sings or hums

History: Elena grew up in a small village where the doors and windows were locked at sunset. Raised by her mother, Elena never knew anything about her father other than the vague mutters about her being the spawn of a demon. Friendless she helped her mother out with their small farm, careful to keep away from other children, as the only child that tried to befriend her was beaten by his parents for playing with her. Once every three years the village held a tournament for everyone, if a child older than ten wanted to participated they were entered in the junior division.

As fate decreed Elena turned ten less than a week before the start of the tournament. Already whispers were flying about one of the contestants. At the hushed words of demon just before the first match, Elena went off to find the so called demon and watch him fight. Elena watched the man fight and beat every opponent thrown at him that first day and went to bed thinking of a man with skin as pale as her own, pristine white hair, black eyes and whom fought like a devil. For the rest of the tournament Elena stalked her demon unaware the he had seen her and was keeping an eye of a child of obvious mixed heritage.

Late one night after doors and windows were locked and barred for the night Elena crept down to the living room with a lantern, four matches and a question her ten year old brain was wrapped around. Sitting on the living room’s woven rushes she set up two unlit matches a foot apart then set the last two behind the first two, a quick strike of her thumbnail set one match on fire. Elena looked from one the lit match to the unlit one, studying how one cast a shadow but the other did not. Her mind quickly solved its dilemma.

“The lit match which casts a shadow is like my mom and me, human. Once it burns out the shadow it makes is gone forever. The unlit match is the demon man it casts no shadow so it’s like that forever.” Elena smiled at the match and flopped back, her elbow striking the lantern and turning it over.

The oil spilling from the lantern caught ignited, setting the rushes on fire. Scrambling into a corner Elena stared open mouthed at the flames that quickly spread through the room and into the hall, a crash right beside her and being picked up roughly shocked her into action. She looked up to see the man just as he jumped out of the window he had come through, carrying her with him. Elena cried silently as she watched her home burn, her mother never emerging from the flame filled house.

Day broke, Elena look on the smoldering ruins of her home and the tired faces of the village men that had tried to save her home and mother. Steadily the glances she caught from the villagers grew darker, a clot of dirt struck Elena in the side, catching her by surprise. Fresh tear welled in her eyes as several of the women and children shouted cruel things at her, finally the village chief approached her and the man beside her.

“You’ll have to leave this village, child, for none here will look after you. Your ill luck has taken the only person that would have you.” Elena stared at the chief until a voice beside her drew her attention, she looked at the man in surprise as he said he would look after Elena. Numbly Elena followed the man to the inn and let him put her on the horse before him. Finally it occurred to her to ask some questions.

“Where are we going, sir?” She asked, afraid that he too would leave her to fend for herself. He chuckled quietly and just as Elena was getting worried he placed a cloak around her shoulder to warm her.

“Call me Dvalin, and get some sleep. We’ll be home when you wake.”

Despite herself Elena was lulled to sleep by the rocking of the horse, later as promised she awoke to find herself lying in a soft bed. Quietly she lay there for a while, crying and grieving for her mother. When her tears stops and the sobs faded into hiccups she climbed out of bed and washed her face before going to look for her new guardian. Elena found him sitting before fire reading, in a room filled with scrolls and books. It wasn’t long before Dvalin noticed her and beckoned her in, he questioned her on her education. When she told him she could not read or write he sighed.

“You have a lot of learning to do young one, you must learn many things to take care of yourself.” Over the next five years Elena was taught to read, write, arithmetic, how to be a lady (lesson that always put her to sleep), that how and why she was different, and most importantly how to take care of herself in the country, to defend herself in hand to hand, how to use the falchion Dvalin gave her for her thirteenth birthday. On her fourteenth birthday she left Dvalin with his blessing and a gift of a lovely dress and armor, to find a home for her self in the world where people accepted her as she was.

Elena came upon a small but busy sea port town after several months of light travel, from a distant hill she watched the busy town for a day, slowly falling in love with the air and atmosphere. Near dusk the next day she entered the, in no time she located the only Inn within the town. A few minutes of arguing with the gruff elderly man that ran the Inn Elena found her self with a job that paid decently and a place to live. Content with her place and happy to find that no one minded her unusual features time passed quickly for Elena. Before she knew it her second winter had passed, she mourned for the old Inn keeper, died from a cough in mid winter, and was slowly falling for the old man’s son, Eddas.

A year later an seventeen year old Elena found herself truly happy for the first time in her life as she planned for her summer wedding. At night when the Inn opened its tavern Elena began to hear whispers of beings that came upon travelers and drained them dry of life. Having learned long ago that rumors can ruin everything, Elena lightly mocked the patrons that whispered the rumors, lightening everything with laughter. Summer began with a couple of disappearances, the most people summed up to young kids running away for something different. In a flurry of excitement Elena finished her dress, and the flower garlands for the wedding that was to be held the next day. With tradition she kissed Eddas goodbye then went to stay at a friend’s house until the wedding was held and they could be reunited.

Unable to sleep Elena stared out the window at the Inn for a long time, once she thought she saw a flicker of moment in the dead of the night but chalked it up to nerves and exhaustion and soon after went to bed. She awoke early the next morning and went to bathe before donning her wedding dress and heading for the sanctuary, eagerly the ceremony that was to start at noon.

Noon came and went, Eddas had not appeared worried and more than a little irritated Elena sent several people to look for him while she went to the Inn to see if he was there. A strange scent assaulted Elena’s nose as soon as she opened the door to the Inn, hesitating she called out for Eddas, when there was no answer she slowly entered and headed for the living quarters on the back of the Inn. The odd odor increased until Elena nearly choked on it, just before Eddas’ bedchamber Elena remember seeing the flash of movement last night by the Inn. Pushing the door open Elena screamed as blood splashed her, quickly soaking into the white lace, as a leg the had been torn from the body slid off the bed and fell into a small pool of blood on the floor.

Drawn by her shrieks several of the town’s people came, two women drew her away from the room but not before Elena noted the bite and claws marks on Eddas’ dismembered body. Hurriedly a funeral was put together that day for Eddas, Elena attended the funeral in the bloodstained wedding gown. For several months afterwards Elena, now owning the tavern held the Inn closed, passing the time in mourning and renewing the training that Dvalin had pounded into her. Elena no longer smiled when called to or wore dresses, she was seen only in her armor.

It was almost a year after Eddas’ death that Elena was awakened by a noise in the Inn, quietly slipping into the armor and weaponry that was laid out by the bed Elena crept noiselessly into the main room of the Inn. In the room stood two creatures, that might have been once human, grayish skin clung to a skeletal thin frame, accidentally she bumped into a chair that had been moved a few nights prior. The creatures turned at the noise and Elena froze as they looked at her. One creature laughed as it saw the falchion she held in her hand.

“Here for revenge Inn keeper’s woman?” What it said took only a moment to sink in and enrage Elena. Never noticing when her vision grew better she lunged for the creatures and took one through the stomach with her falchion, she gaped in surprise as the one she stabbed threw her off and pulled her sword out of its stomach. Elena jumped barely avoiding being hit by her own sword as the creature threw it at her. Elena grabbed a lit lamp and threw it at the creature, lighting it on fire. She dove for her sword and turned to find the fire lit creature nearly on her, panicked she hacked at its head, clumsily cutting it off. Ignoring the flames spreading through the Inn she raced outside, following the second creature into the woods. The sound of the fire bells in the town barely registered as she hunted for the creature.

Dawn came and frustrated Elena returned to the town and the burnt down Inn. A crowd greeted her at the Inn, angry, frustrated and depressed Elena stared at the burnt timbers of the Inn. Shaking her head, she stomped through the ashes of a second home destroyed by fire. By some luck her knapsack, only a little singed on the outside and filled with her most important things, had survived the blaze. Elena kicked burnt pieces of wood out of her way as she shouldered her knapsack and headed out of town. She stopped by the baker’s, also the mayor of the town and told him of the stash of gold under a flag stone in the kitchen and of her plans to hunt down the remaining creature and any others like it.

Elena spent most of the last year and a half hunting for the creature and others like it, before she met and was kidnapped by the Moontae chieftain. Nearly two years has passed since Elena’s capture, during that time she came to love Averymiel Nito, the Moontae chieftain, and wedded him. Willingly.

An attack upon two of the Moontae and a failure in communication lead to a falling out between Elena and her husband. She fled the city with the broken angel Avery had punished, seeking to care for her until she could fend for herself. Meanwhile, Avery sent the Moontae’s protectors after his Queen, pronouncing her rogue. A short, viscous battle ensued between the Shield and Elena, ending in the humiliation of the Shields and the recapture of Elena. Elena awoke later to find herself in a gilded cage, awaiting judgment. Once the veiled Moontae, whom were there to witness, and Avery arrived Elena was told Avery’s reasons for his actions then given the choice to stay or leave. To be exiled from Avery and the Moontae forever. Soon after Elena found out she was pregnant with what is to be her son.

On one of Elena’s rare walks outside of the Moontae City, she found a unique crystal orb. Upon opening the orb Elena found herself thrown into a different, strange world as she slept. Unable to touch or affect anything she was forced to watch the events surrounding two young people. As the story unfolded Elena slept for longer and longer periods of time. Her periods of wakefulness were brief, her hand remained frozen around the crystal. Finally, unable to witness the horrors of the chaotic, soon-to-die world Elena tore herself out of the dreams, damaging her own mind slightly as she did so. Upon waking Elena shattered the crystal, cutting up her hand just to break it. As Avery carried her out Elena wondered where most of the crystal shards had gone. The stray thought about the crystal entering her body though the wounds occurred to her as Avery carried her to the healers.

Time passed quickly for Elena and before she knew it, Elena found herself comfortable among the Moontae. She made friends with the Shields, at one time offering her self to help state the forbidden bloodlust of one friend. In that act, Elena finally realized what it meant to be Moontae.

Skie, Avery’s twin sister returned to the Moontae for a time and was welcomed with open arms. Her mission though was to take Netimrael, Elena and Avery’s son. Through mishap, Netimrael was lost to death’s embrace and Avery was severely wounded in the process. With the death of her son, the betrayal of Skie and the strained emotions between Elena and her husband, Elena decided it would be best to leave for a time. To give her heart and Avery’s heart a chance to heal and strengthen. She decided that given her ageless state and the Moontae lifespan that a decade would be long enough for her to learn to stand on her own two feet. To become a Queen for Avery, one that can stand beside him rather than behind him.

In a single barbaric afternoon, Avery showed his darker side, seeking to kill Elena’s soon to hatch pet, then raping her body and emotions. Elena fled the Moontae, uncertain of her eventual return to Avery. She found solace in her work in the Bazaar as a shop keep and collecting the lost children that no one else wanted.

Shortly after leaving the Moontae, in a short battle with Shadar it was revealed to her that Avery’s monstrous act had left its seed and taken root. The child within her develops too quickly as the months pass, unwilling to give her child a foreign homeland Elena wanders Corone between short stays in the Bazaar. Just under five months after leaving Avery, Elena finds herself en route through Akashima for Radasanth, her body swollen with a soon to be born child. By chance, Ki comes across her in the Akashima countryside.

Post 8 (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=5608)”…with some time to nearly one and a half times the size of a horse with a shell that Prevalida breaks on. Course that's quite a while down the road, the baby will need a year before it can be ridden, and nearly ten before it's nearly invincible. It'll run faster then a horse before the second year is done, and will shed its hard skin every several months. Silk properties will never change.

This looks acceptable. Just remember that NPCs are a no-no in battles.
