Ave Versus Christus

Sunlight poured in from the glass windows and door, setting its warmth on the gruesome scene of a murder. The body was presented with no ceremony or respect; its limbs sprawled out on the floor, white-knuckled fists clenched in the last fleeting moments of life. Blood still trickled from the gaping wound the man had sustained, adding to the pool of red that slowly engulfed the floor. His wares, boxes and bowels of candy, suffered a new coating not made of sugar, with droplets of red on nearly everything. People walked contently outside, blissfully unaware of the gore inside the shoppe.
Khristos sat upon a counter made of crates and loose boards hastily nailed together. The candy store didn't seem terribly popular, cutting corners was needed. In one hand he held a lollipop, his face mask hanging around his neck like a limp bandanna. The other, blood-soaked hand held onto a single gold coin taken from a now empty lock box that had been forced open.
The scene looked like a perfect robbery turned murder; so very perfect.
