A Silly and Serious quest...

The town of Hidden Tragedy...

An Ancient malevolent force…
A series of Sacrificial Rituals…
And a town cursed by their own misfortune…

This quest centres around a series of unfortunate incidents that leaves a town completely wiped out, cursed and pretty much everyone’s worst nightmare. Our characters are going to stumble upon this town and once entering the barrier that surrounds it, cannot escape until we have solved the mystery and defeated the evil with in it. Do you think your character has what it takes to defend him/herself against ghosts, demons and monsters? Then sign your life away below!

Serious and silly events will take place in this quest, so I’ll be looking for people who can write with a bit of humour, but who can also add quite the dark element to their writing as well. I need active writers and I’ll also be looking for the three following things, though I don’t need them, they’ll make things more interesting:

· An unlikely virgin character
· A couple (either a player who has an NPC that’s a couple, or two PC’s who we could turn into a couple)
· And a person to help run this quest with me. There may be times when the group is split up into two different teams.

I’ll be looking for around three people to join me in this quest. Please make sure you’ll be able to stick with this, as there’s a good chance it could turn into a two-part quest. I’m going to be a little on the picky side so don’t feel bad if I don’t pick your character in the end.

I'm interested! As for roles, I couldn't really fill the unlikely virgin role, but I suppose I could get a skanky ho NPC and turn her into Jame's gf for the duration of the thread to fulfill the couples role. I could also help run the quest if you needed.

Umm... not undead in the way of zombies. Ghosts, some monster thingies that I get to create off the top of my head and possibly some demons.

EDIT: when I say monsters, think something along the lines of Silent Hill. When I say ghosts, think of Fatal Frame and when I say demons... I got nothing. >.>

Yes, what happened to Lasair with the barrier will happen to everyone, minus the fact that she could jump in and out of it for a few seconds. You guys will just get plain trapped. Also, feel free to make it to the town already, it is a town so it's a little on the big side. All made of wood, a bit decrepit, falling apart, with marks of what would seem like a battle here and there. You'll also see random fires here and there to help light the way for the characters to get there.

All right, I'm going to be a little bit blunt here. I gave you guys some creative lee way to get your characters into the forest and perhaps into the toen and I have no idea what you're doing, but I don't like it. I don't remember saying murdering trees could attack you, I don't think I even mentioned murdering trees. And please, please, please try to make your posts more horror orientated than humour. There may have been 'silly' in the title of this recruitment but there was also 'serious'. And unless you have an idea and approach me with it first I don't want anyone being attacked by anything yet.

All right, so I've got everyone. Our new cast for this quest shall be:

Slayer of the Rot (whatever character he chooses as long as I approve it)

I appear to have lost my couple factor, unless Dan lets me do something with whatever char he picks. Or I could use Rok... I can't do it with Whiteshadow because he's already my virgin.

All right people, though I did mention that this is going to have some silly aspects to it as well, the quest is mainly going to be horror based. I want your best writing here. Include all your character's senses in the settings in order to really bring about a good feel for it. In your introduction posts get them inside the barrier that's surrounding the town. If you'd like to go further than the forest in your first post, there will be distinctive paths leading into the village, one of which will have a large slab of stone in the centre surrounded by lit torches. Most of the paths will empty out by houses and into back gardens and such, one will come to a graveyard on the outskirts of the town. If you've ever played Fatal Frame: Crimson Butterfly, you'll understand the feel I'm looking for. I know Zerith does. :p If not, use your imaginations!

Zerith, I want you to come out in the graveyard. It's on the outskirts of the town, rather shrouded in mist. There's a rope bride connecting it to the town, but you can't see what's below it because of the fog.

You don't have to meet up with each other right away, so if you want to be by yourself for a bit feel free to do so, but talk to me if you need help getitng your character somewhere.
