View Full Version : Needed: a strong fighter

I have a new Citadel thread up called Ifrit versus Ifrit. Bassically its about Ifrit going and confronting his "inner self" for the final time. As a result, however, Ifrit's demonic form has gone beserk and has taken up arms against the citadel in the "real world". Thus, I need someone who is strong enough to subdue and not kill my pseudo Ifrit while my real Ifrit is fighting himself "inside". Ifrit's demon form is considered level 3 for all purposes as it possesses regeneration, supernatural strength and speed (2.2-2.5x), and increased Hellfire abilities. Since I won't be using this form in the future before level 3 or higher, I request it as if you were fighting an NPC controlled by another person. If there are any takers, please post here. The fight won't be that long, either.

Please, I just need someone to do this. I'm not up for writing solo.

I'm leaving this open until tommorow night. If nobodies interested in doing a quick little battle by then I guess I'll do it solo.

If nobody else applies by the time this thread reaches its time limit of participation, I can help you out.

Alright. You've read the thread, right?

Just so you know, the monks could very likely handle a level 3 Ifrit thing with no problem whatsoever. It's not like they're weaklings. They have guards and other junk.

Carry on anyway!

I only applied to this for the sake of it not turning into a solo. Although, you aren't exactly giving people a lot of time to join. Also, yes I glossed over the thread... why?

alright I just wanted to let you know what you were getting into. And Cyrus, I know that, but where would be the fun in the monks handling it? If you have an idea, though Cyrus, then go ahead and hit me with it.

I'm surprised no one else has said this yet, but I *think* (could be mistaken) that giving your level 0 character level 3 abilities in a battle would be considered powergaming. If you're willing to take a serious hit to your score then it doesn't make a difference, but I thought someone should give you fair warning.

I don't see why it wouldn't be allowed, people can use npcs in fights if the other player agrees, and he isn't really, he wants to show that his character has untapped power. It's like in a quest when someone uses an ability they don't have by accident, because it's something the character can do but doesn't know about. Happens all the time in professional novels.

Professional novels aren't on a level system.

That said, I don't think there'd be a conflict. He said he wants the level 3 version of himself treated as an NPC, so you could make the argument that his character is still bound by the limits of his level.

If I wanted to have a level 20 Luc travel back in time and act as the protagonist of a thread, I'd do it. We're really quite open about things here.

Exactly. Really this is two different fights, one between my Ifrit and his "dark self", and one between the "hero" and the False Ifrit. While my character Ifrit is still only halfway between 0 and 1, the triggered body that is fighting has the abilities of a level 3 Ifrit but isn't him. Does that make sense?

Homonculus, if you are still on for this go ahead an' post. I'll leave this thread open for takers though until tommorow morning.

Also, multiple people could fight against the Pseudo Ifrit if they wanted. Like a group of level 0's or 1's or something.

Since no one seems interested in this and Homunculus isn't posting, I'm turning it into a solo. Recruitment is now closed.

Sorry, I was away for a bit. You've seen how active I am so this is pretty unusual for me. I was going to post tonight and looking forward to it.

Oh well, whatever.

You realize that you can delete your own posts right?

If you click the little "edit" button in the bottom right-hand corner of your post it brings up the edit box. Then in the bottom right-hand corner of the edit box is a "delete" button.

FYI

He's too concerned with Mass Effect and has dropped his threads as a result, including one that he was in with me and two others.
