From One, Learn All
Sine Nomine, the only name found on the hushed lips of its members. Indeed, this group abides by secrecy like a deity; only members know any truth behind rumors the public may have caught a glimmer of.
Sine Nomine exists for only one purpose; the complete destabilization of all current governing bodies on Althanas, be they kingdom or religion, in hopes of creating the world anew. The means for which matter not, which is where the guild's main phrase comes from, Virtue from Vice , or the ends always justify the means.
The history of the group is shrouded in an almost zealous mythos, and tells the tale of a young shepard boy from the plains of Raiaera. While herding his sheep, a terrible light fell upon him, causing him to become blind and crippled. And through the pain and sheer terror, he saw into another world. A world of equality; a world of virtue where every man may walk as an equal, and where the wisest are in power, not just to further their schemes and wealth, but to better men as a whole. Though many trials lay ahead, the boy pushed ahead and gathered a small, if radical, following behind him. Little more is known, as the group has all but vanished in the past few months, the shepard as well.

Leaders - (Note, all leaders *except The Light* are hidden behind masks and robes when speaking to the masses, and often take on a fake name)
The Light (NPC) - The blind, crippled boy who leads the group spiritually, and through philosophy that often confounds those not indoctrinated. He is able to preform small feats of magic that include healing from minor to semi-serious wounds, though this is rather exhausting. He also seems to carry some level of clairvoyance, telepathy, and empathy. However, he needs the help of the group to move him around, keep him clean, and even feed him.
Virtue (NPC) - One of the first of the flock to come to crook of the shepard boy, he is an older man that through some mental link shortly after the boys awakening was able to share this vision of the world, if one for a moment. However, because his was only a brief glimmer, his morals are slightly skewed as to how to achieve this perfect world. He will go to any length in order to achieve the group's goal, and often keeps the darker deeds from The Light's ears.
Maiden (Magdalena (http://www.althanas.com/world/member.php?u=2956)) - Once a priestess of the Sway, yet still the soothsayer of a word not her own. She swathes herself in a hooded shawl of blood-red silk and lace while she conceals her face behind a silver mask, ornate with scarlet feathers quite reminiscent of the burlesque craft. Being of a fickle nature, she is inclined to forgo most gatherings, but one must be prudent in the rare event of her attendance: though sweet is the poison of her words, that of her touch is just as bitter and all the more potent.
Joule (Call Me J (http://www.althanas.com/world/member.php?u=3904)) - A gentleman’s gentleman, there is little known about him. He is rumored to prefer fine drinks and women, and he is supposed to be well read. However, no one in Sin Nomine, has ever seen him, with the exception of The Light and The Virtue. Some even believe that he is disguised as a member of the flock.

Currently, Sine Nomine resides in a few small offices and apartments and Radasanth, as well as a few hotel rooms in Raiaera. They are, for now, staying low and act as if they are just another business, that, puts out religious men to preach to the masses.
NPCs:
Two Harem Girls who fell beneath the sway when Virtue bought them. They do little more than serve.
All other NPCs are MIA and unusable at the moment, until questing reveals their hiding spots. Although they are still few in number.
How to become a member:
Please post here with your interest. I hold the right to reject any applicant as I see fit. I've already asked for two co-chairs *leaders* to join, with another seat vacant until a later date. If you think you're leader material, apply your interest for that as well
The Flock will be divided into two groups: Operatives and Labor. Sine Nomine's eventual base of operation will need blacksmiths, farmers, craftsmen, and house servants to help with this, so if your character doesn't fit combat or intelligence gathering, then the labor force is good for you. Likewise, if you don't like sitting around, and stabbing someone, intimidation, battles, or spying all sound really interesting, you can join as an Operative. Both tasks are equally important, and successful laborers can be just as highly decorated as the best assassins and spies.
Now, an initiation thread will be needed. It can be short and sweet, or fairly medium length, and must be done with another leader. You'll be somewhat interested in the preachings, follow the preacher back to a more private environment, and being cultist rituals I'm keeping secret until then. (They're psychological techniques to invest some loyalty.)
All members will be expected to take a false name and wear a tattoo of our symbol, when decided at a later day. All leaders will be expected to hide their faces as best they can with robes and masks during speeches to the members.
