Eryk
05-10-06, 09:31 PM
Name: Eryk Blair

Alias: Crimson

Age: 18

Race: Shapeshifter

Sex: Male

Height: 6’1 varies up to 3 inches.

Weight: 180 lbs varies up to 10 lbs.

Alignment: Neutral Evil.

Hair Color: Black.

Eye Color: Green

Class: Thief

Personality: Eryk is a “professional” thief. He is a bitter due to years of suffering and cruel treatment he has been forced to endure by the paranoid people of common society. Shapeshifters are heavily looked down upon because of their natural abilities. He doesn’t enjoy the presence of others unless they share his craft. Eryk is cruel, heartless, and often an inconsiderate asshole. He is uncontrollably arrogant yet uncommonly lucky. Eryk has two goals in life and that is to gain vengeance on those who mistreat him and his brothers and sisters and get rich while doing it. Whether it is by killing or stealing their goods and giving them to the needy of his race. He is a filthy liar but he’s good at it. Eryk could be described as three things: a hero, a thief, and a murderer. He is a hero to his people, a thief to the rich people of society, and a murderer to the uniformed officers that protect the common people.

Appearance: Eryk appears as shady as his personality. He doesn’t wear a cliché cloak that covers his entire body so no one ever sees his face. Instead he wears a small red cloak that only looks good. It’s also useful for defending him against the elements of nature. He doesn’t care if anyone sees him because its not like they can do anything about anything he does, or so he thinks. His face has very sharp details and he is very good looking. He has large, brown eyes and short black hair. Normally the only noticeable trait between his real appearance and when he transforms is his pitch-black hair. He is normally seen wearing a green button down sleeveless shirt and tan pants. He also has boots and gloves that have spikes in them that make it easy for him to climb vertical surfaces.

Armor: None.

Weapons: 6 Balanced Daggers, Two-handed Scimitar

6 Balanced Throwing Daggers: The daggers have a slightly curved blade on each side of the hilt. This is where they get the name balanced because the daggers can be set on the hilt and balance on just about any surface. The blades are serrated to inflict more pain upon each of Eryk’s victims. They can either be used as throwing weapons or weapons for close combat. They are made out of iron.

Two-handed Scimitar: This is Eryk preferred weapon. It is much like a normal scimitar but it is much longer and is wielded much more effectively with two hands. Its very light and Eryk can make quick and calculated strikes with it. The sword is made of steel.

Items: Thief’s Tools,

Thief’s Tools: Several assorted items that help Eryk gain entry to buildings, safes and other areas that are hard to get to. These tools include lock picks, a jeweler’s loupe, a shovel, string and rope and a set of metal files. They are all very useful tools but none of them would make very effective weapons, except maybe the shovel.

Skills: Skilled Thief, Less Than Average Dagger Skills, Average Sword Skills, Shape Shifting

Skilled Thief: Being a skilled thief Eryk is dexterous and his agility is slightly above average. He is quick in battle and has enough luck to make him appear victorious more often than not. He is able to stealthily break into a home or safe and successfully take anything of value. He has also been living on the street long enough to know how to survive the harsh elements of nature.

Less than Average Dagger Skills: Eryk has less than average dagger skills. He is relatively quick and clear minded in a battle. He enjoys playing with his daggers such as juggling them and twirling them in his palm. He uses these in many different situations like when he has to get down and dirty in close. He has below average aim with the daggers.

Average Sword Skills: Eryk has average sword skills as well. His agility and overall skill with a blade make him an average adversary. He is able to make quick, accurate attacks and parry attacks of opponents with ease.

Shape Shifting (Racial): Eryk is capable of changing shapes but is very limited in it. He can only change into another humanoid of slightly larger or smaller height and weight. This ability is priceless in the art of thievery. However, it takes about one minute to effectively shape shift so it is useless in battle. It also takes quite a large amount of the users strength. The new shape can be held for 3 posts.

History: Eryk was born in pitiable area of Radasanth, the largest city in Corone. He grew up with a life on the streets, stealing what he needed to survive at the age of 5. His mother abandoned him and was possibly killed when he was 8 and he has lived on his own ever since. At the age of 10 he was taken under the wing of a man named Fitz Rengal, a man who claimed to know the famous thief Ren Nocal. Eryk began his training in the craft of the thief and quickly excelled in it soon surpassing Fitz in his abilities. At the age of 15 he murdered his first victim, his first kill would alter his life forever and he would gain a new best friend: his sword.

The only twist with his first kill was that it was actually Fitz, the man who had taken Eryk under his wing and taught him the craft. The only mistake that Fitz made was turning Eryk into a heartless killer, someone who only looked out for himself and cared nothing for others. Fitz had no idea what he had done when he unleashed this evil into the world.

At the age of 16 Eryk seemed to disappear off the face of the planet, even though no one would notice he was gone. He had gone on a small stealing rampage and managed to stay out of the law’s long arm. It was around this time that he became slightly infamous and was dubbed with the name ‘Crimson’ due to his ability to kill without any emotion.

Now at age 18, “Crimson” continues to improve his abilities, even the ones he knows nothing of.

-You say two balanced daggers...but then 10..?

-I don't think the new shape should be held indefinantly. And could you make the changing time to one minute, so it really is useless in battle?

-Can you make one of your skills less than average? Because two averages is a bit powerful.

Sorry about that, at first he was only going to have two daggers but I had a change of heart. I changed the shapeshifting to only last 3 posts for now and have changed the daggers skills to less than average. Everything should now be fixed.

Alright, I want you to lower the amount of throwing daggers you have.

I also want either limits to what human forms you may take, or atleast a promise that you won't turn into a king or something and powergame it that way. Also, does the shapeshift effect your strength at all?

Alright ya I wont be powergameing or anything with this. It will mostly be used for impersonating guards and stuff but im gonna add something that will make it a lot harder to impersonate people with higher positions (hair and voice).
