Aerys Okala looked into the dark expanse of the forest before her. She was to wait until the other members of the party were ready to go, which seemed to be taking forever. Why she had agreed to this mission at all, she would never understand. When she had been offered the mission, she had been surprised at their show of faith in her that she could do it and be basically in charge. She know that other members of the House would possibly join her, but until then, she was to babysit the group of Archeologist's and other specialists that would be needed on this small venture into the ruins deep within Fiorair.

She turned her back on the forest and took a good look around the small clearing in which they had built their camp. There were a total of eleven tents of various sizes some were for sleeping, some were for storage. As she looked around, she wondered just how the various pieces of equipment were to be carried into the forest, unless she was mistaken and only a couple were traveling, and the rest were to remain behind to analyse everything, which would make more sense.

As she watched, she was joined by the lead archeologist, a deeply tanned man, who looked like he had been out in the sun too long, yet was still slightly handsome with long blonde hair tied back with a piece of string. When she had asked his name, he had simply replied, 'Jon' and refused to respond to anything else. She had a list in her bag giving complete names of everyone in the group and had studied it carefully, and had, within a hour of meeting everyone, put faces to the names, and memorised them. He sat down beside her.

"Well, so far, what we have planned is this. The bulk of this group will stay here and keep what we find. This could take some time, so while you and I with a couple of others go and do the whole exploring business, the base camp will be looked after by someone who I have worked with before, she's also from Sora, so you may even know her, that is when she finally gets here." Jon told her, confirming what she had thought. She nodded and took a look around to see if there was anyone in the camp that she had not already met.

Dheathain was definitely a first for Monica. Between continent hops, she had been to Scara Brae, Corone, and Salvar, but never Dheathain. Thick clouds roiled in the distance as the large ears set atop her head twitched back and forth. Nobody said anything about rain on the ship to the Eastern continent. Or the fog, but the catgirl could deal with fog. It was the rains she hated.

A score of men and women departed the ship, Monica among them, all bearing the crest of the House of Sora somewhere on their person. Equipment for analyzing artifacts, cooking, sleeping, and everything else relating to an archeological escapade was offloaded from the hold and hauled off in carts. The young woman with silver hair followed the caravan closely, pulling her jacket tighter over her shoulders. It wasn’t cold, but something gave her a creepy sensation that chilled her far more than any amount of ice could. It was probably nothing, but for the first couple hours, she was constantly looking over her shoulder.

When the train of wagons finally reached the base camp, Monica jumped off one of the ox-drawn carts and scampered over from tent to tent. She hadn’t been given many details, but she did know the general description of the person she was trying to find.

Red hair, blue eyes… red hair, blue eyes… red hair… There!

With a smile, the fickle feline bounded straight toward Aerys, the woman she was told to meet. Red hair, blue eyes, and considerably taller than she was.

“Hiya, Aerys! I’m Monica, and I’m here to help.”

Unique didn’t even begin to describe her.

With a sigh, Iras looked onto the new contenent she had come to. For reasons she couldn't describe, she was drawn to this group, House of Sora. When she had entered that first town, she was greeted by one of their members and after a short conversation she found herself a member. It didn't bother her at all, but she did find it odd that she was asked to be transfered to another contenent to help with this 'mission'. Thinking, Iras couldn't even remember what contenent she was coming from. It never crossed her mind to ask where she was coming from, as it was the destination that mattered more.

Finally, when those around her began to leave the boat, Iras followed. When she left, she was told to follow a specific person as they were also going to help. The person was easy enough to follow, not many people had silver hair in this place, so Iras just kept her in sight.

After a while, the group of people seemed to arrive at their destination and the silver-haired female finally started to seem like she was looking for someone. Shortly, the silver-haired one introduced herself to a red-haired female. Iras finally decided that it was time for her to introduce herself also. As she stepped closer, she brushed some of her blue hair from her face.

"Greetings. I'm Iras and new to the House. I was told to follow Monica here so I could be of some help also."

Gah, so much ring rust... hate it...
