Ballisticz

((name and alias)) My name is Lyro Vex... But you can call me "Ballistic..."
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 129
Height and Weight: 6 foot 1, 146 pounds
Eye Color: Full black
Hair Color/Style: Fairly short, white, unruly hair
Occupation: Lyro is a self-proclaimed "Noble Bandit."
Personality: Lyro is a conceited man, who uses his weapons just as often as he does his snide remarks. Sometimes he doesn't know when to shut up, and that has gotten him into some rather sticky situations. He is also quite the ladies' man. He feels that government and society as a whole is corrupt, not necessarily evil, but he thinks that they weren't created for the good of Man. Therefore, he has become a bandit to take whatever he wants from society and those who follow it. An anarchist, in some sorts. He isn't evil, but he does what he wants and thinks is best. Alignment (DnD terms): True Neutral
Appearance: Despite his age, Lyro still has an extremely handsome face, and his white hair still has that shine of life in it. His face sports soft features despite his black eyes. His attire is just perfect for one such as him, wiry and lithe. For his torso, the bandit dons a decorative yet functional black steel breastplate with a shiny white trim. The breastplate outlines his (not so much) nice set of abdominal muscles. To wear on top of that, he wears a long, dark red turtleneck cape that reached his thighs. He wears this whilst traveling but almost never whilst fighting.
For legwear, he has no armor but he does wear a pair of loose-fitting black pants - held on tightly by a wide, golden belt - that allow for maximum movement while still being somewhat protective due to the slight enchantment of the fabric that makes it just a little tougher than normal cloth. Softer than leather, but still more useful than a normal pair of loins. The bottoms of the pants are tucked into a pair of short black boots, with two silver steel plates attached to each. One around the toes and one at the ankle. The boots' soles have soft padding that allows Lyro to move quietly.
Equipment
Big Boy: "Easy, big boy, we don't need to cut off any more heads than we have to!" Big Boy is Lyro's name for his "pet" giant shuriken. The giant, tri-pointed shuriken is large, each black curved blade being about 3ft. long. They all erect from one side of a foot long metal shaft tightly wrapped in black leather. That would make the handle.
Big Boy is a sentient weapon, and has had a spiritual connection with Lyro ever since The Meeting With A God. He is linked directly to Lyro's Ballistic ability, and as thus it's strength increases as Lyro's does. The bandit can also summon and dismiss Big Boy at his will with the ability.
Personality: Big Boy is bloodthirsty, impatient and rash. He is pretty much where Lyro's motivation to kill comes from. He speaks tradespeak like any other being, out loud for all to hear.
Current Strength: Steel
The Ring: The mysterious black ring that Lyro wears on his left index finger. It's origins are unknown but apparently he siphons his power from it. It also has seemed to stop his aging and maybe be the thing that made his eyes black? The band of metal seems to have a finite amount of energy and as thus, can't be used forever. But rest will regenerate it.
Fighting
Shuriken Play
- Melee: Lyro can wield Big Boy almost like a staff, using both hands on the foot long hilt. He can use this to block attacks or attack himself. This isn't usually his preferred way of using Big Boy, but he has done a little bit of practice just in case he has to.
Skill Level - Below Average
- Ranged: Now this is how Lyro likes to play. By simply chucking Big Boy at his opponent and hacking them up. Via his Ballistics ability, Lyro has some other special abilities while tossing Big Boy around.
Round Trip: If Big Boy is thrown and isn't stopped by anything shortly after hitting his target (i.e. if he misses, or if he hits but isn't hindered) then he will immediately redirect his path and attack again before returning to Lyro's hands. If he hits a wall and is stopped immediately, then the attacks stop. The number of attacks that Big Boy will do consecutively depends on Ballistics strength. Current: (0) After miss or impact, Big Boy immediately returns to Lyro's hands.
Boomerang: This is Big Boy's natural ability to return to Lyro's hands from any distance when thrown, under one condition: It doesn't get immediately stopped by anything (i.e. a wall). If it is blocked and deflected, it will still return to Lyro. But if it's stopped by a wall or something like a wall, then he will fall limp on the ground (and probably start screaming for Lyro to come pick him back up). The bandit has practiced his catch timing so much that it's pretty much second nature when catching Big Boy by the shaft, no pun intended.
Indefinite Flight: Big Boy is thrown via Lyro's Ballistic ability, rather than his own physical strength. As thus, it flies through the air supernaturally. Big Boy will not stop flying through the air until it hits something or the bandit calls him back. For example, Lyro can throw Big Boy at an opponent that's 500ft. away, but of course, that'd give a ton of reaction time to dodge.
Hand-to-Hand Combat
- With the combination of amateur acrobatics and flexibility, Lyro has practiced in the art of martial hand-to-hand combat. His fighting style is a loose martial art that, taking advantage of his speed rather than strength, has solidly developed into a series of dodging and counterattacks that use the opponent's weight against them. Skill Level: Below Average. His dodge and counterattack capabilities are below par when compared to any devout hand-to-hand martial artist, but he does know how to use his fists when he has to.
Ballistics
- Lyro's supernatural ability to create and throw various projectiles, be it from crossbow bolt to a sling bullet.
Note: Projectiles can't be used in melee combat in any way whatsoever. He can throw them from a short distance, but can't be used for anything else but throwing.
The Projectiles: The projectiles that Lyro can create out of thin air are nothing like their physical counterparts. They're created from a special energy that Lyro draws from His Ring (explained later). The energy is frail, in a sense that upon impact the projectile will break and dissolve into nothingness. But nonetheless, the effect is the same as any other, real projectile minus the actual impaling that say a real knife would do to a person's gut. (i.e. if a dull bronze throwing knife strikes someone's bare skin, it will pierce slightly before dissolving) Also, right now he can only throw all of his projectiles, perhaps in the future he might be able to shoot them somehow, but right now he can only throw.
Current Throwing Accuracy: Average, Lyro is able to aim and throw in the general direction of his opponent, and also choose between high or low, but anything more specific than that will take some more training. This is also his accuracy for when throwing Big Boy.
Current Ring Energy: (# he can create before resting) 4 for battles, 8 for quests.
- The factors that determine the strength of the projectiles are as follows: Sharpness, and the type of metal that the normal physical counterpart of the projectile would be. The metal type determines the force of the projectile, whereas the sharpness determines piercing strength (obsolete with blunt projectiles like bullets). For example, a dull titanium knife would put a bigger dent in a shield than a dull steel one would, but an extremely sharp steel knife may pierce the shield a little bit instead, and an extremely sharp titanium knife would pierce the shield even further (depends on shield of course).
Projectiles - these are the current types of projectiles that Lyro can create
~dull iron knife~
~dull bronze shuriken~
Simultaneous Recreation: Lyro can create an indefinite amount of projectiles, and depending on his level, he has to ability to create a certain amount of any projectile simultaneously. Current: One at a time, or once per 2 battle posts (mine, not opponents), once per quest post.
Attributes and Characteristics
Strength: 1.2x (that of an average man)
Ladies' Man: Lyro is the epitome of charm and grace. His handsome appearance and witty intelligence often makes for easy wooing of the female sex. This has proved useful if any woman had something he wanted, and we all know that the 'Noble Bandit' wouldn't want to hurt a beautiful lady to take her belongings!
Strategist: The Noble Bandit is quite skilled in planning and executing special tactics when it comes to things like raids and assassinations.
Stealth: Not as stealthy as any shadow-trained assassin or thief, but despite, Lyro knows how to hide in the shadows fairly well and make his step light.
History
Lyro's history will be revealed in the future, so proceed to approved him anyways.
