Out of character (or OOC) refers to posts that are written in discussion forums such as Introductions, the Role-Players Corner, Your Word and the Flying Stone Tavern. OOC notes are often made in IC threads in order to clarify story direction, placed in double brackets at the beginning or end of the in character post.
